Now You See Her, Now You Don’t…
It appears FNC’s Page Hopkins is once again MIA on the channel. After the much noted “return from vacation” her appearances have been practially non-existent. I haven’t seen her since that week. But I can’t catch every second of the channel so I checked with “Mr. FNC” Johnny Dollar and he hasn’t seen her either. It appears she has returned to FNC Never-never land. Carpe Diem maintains its Don Quixote like assault on Fox and Friends and wants Hopkins back on the air. But I have come to the conclusion based on all this hide and seek that’s been going on the past three months that Hopkins’ FNC days are numbered and her sightings that one week were little more than a PR response to all the internet buzz surrounding Hopkins dissapearance.
Update: A commenter says that Hopkins has been heard doing news updates for Fox News Radio recently.

If they let Laurie Dhue go, there’s no doubt they wouldn’t do the same to Page, or anyone else. Very sad.

Brigitte Quinn is also missing.

I have heard her a few times doing the headlines for Fox News Radio recently (with in the past two weeks).

it is unbelievable that fnc has apparently discarded one of their most talented, smart and witty anchors – i blows my mind that they would replace her on f&f with ainsley who is so many notches below page in education and intelligence – ainsley has said so many stupid things that i find it horrifying that a major news outlet would allow her on the air – i find myself rarely watching fox news any more, they have lost credibility

Maybe if Page had been willing to “accidentally” flash some skin, she’d still be in her rightful place on TV.
Instead, we get airheads whose skin shots are too frequent to be accidental.

You mean there are people who actually care about the utter trivial Fox and Friends?

I must say I don’t see the big problem w/ Ainsley… True, she appears unpolished and less experienced, but there is a difference between not being ready for prime-time (or the morning couch) and plain ‘ol incompetence. She actually seems to have more potential than many of the people in FNC’s current lineup any time of day. I think she isn’t well suited to a superficial infotainment pop morning show yet–that’s a matter of training (read: brainwashing), not talent. But to me it would be interesting to see her do something more in line with America’s Pulse…a program that is personality driven but ultimately reliant on the anchor’s interaction with news stories, (instead of the interaction between other personalities). Of course that show has always sucked, but E.D. Hill is the problem there and not the show format. Ainsley’s also very good in the field; she’s remarkably genuine and much less self-absorbed than many other equally visible correspondents/substitute anchors at FNC. She has more brains and talent in her little finger than does Courtney Friel (of course a parking lot prostitute would do a better job than Friel, probably in more ways than one). I would speculate that when Ainsley has the same amount of experience as Paige Hopkins, she could be just as good if not better. In fact, in 10-15 years she could have the capability to be no less successful than people with skills and talent such as Paula Zahn, Diane Sawyer, and Connie Chung to name a few…at the very least on par with Laurie Dhue or Erica Hill.

I give up. I tried to post a response a few times, but it hasn’t worked.
I guess that criticizing Ainsley Airhead for her many “accidental” panty flashes and insipid remarks (like asking a priest if the Pope was going to make a political endorsement during his trip here) isn’t allowed here.

I have quit wathcing Fox on weekends. They obviously could care less what their viewers have to say, or I must be in the minority. Well, they just have one less viewer.

I haven’t seen Greg Jarrett on the weekends for a few weeks…Greg Kelly has been on with Julie. I like what Greg J. brought to the mix and miss his point of view.

Please bring Page back even if it is with Ainsley and Greg Kelly. Please send Clayton and Courtney to one of the non-Fox stations in Philly, their alleged home town. Page and Greg always made Saturday morning worth getting up for.I had my whole fitness center workout group watching, but now it is CNN.

So, are we all sending these sentiments to yourcomments@foxnews.com ?

boogiewoogee – There are other email addies IF you know the (not so) secret code that they use for their email system …
I guess Page turned 41/42 and Roger Ailes thought he needed to get rid of her … which means time’s a tickin’ for Gretchen & Alisyn …
Whatever the problem that Ailes / Shine / Moody thought was with F&FW … They did NOT fix it by dumping Page / Greg / Kelly and bringing in the Dimwit Trio of Clayton / Ainsley / Courtney … They made it worse … The show is NOT watchable … Even with trainwrecks & car crashes, you can only watch so much before you wanna barf …
Did someone complain about the chemistry / play fighting with Greg & Page?? Did someone get “favors” from Ainsley / Courtney / Clayton and that’s why the staff was changed??
WHAT did Page do to get so unceremoniously kicked to the curb like this ?? Did she get into a horrible accident on her “vacation” and now they’re treating her like the “woman without a face”?? Did she contract leprosy?? Did she go hari kari in the newsroom ??
Why haven’t Ainsley / Courtney / Clayton been canned for incompetence??

Silvart I think you need therapy sooooooooooon. I am glad to see that everyone else still has full use of their brain and not left it out on the washing line, perhaps you silvart are ainsally or a relative or
a secret male who likes the odd flash…this is strange because you bomb Courtney quite vishusly who at least is open about putting herself forward in the image she wants to be seen as whilst ainsally
acts soooo sweet and dumb that most american man would want to defend…perhaps your need to meet miss inoccent is leading your brain astray. But I do agree on one point you made, yes it is unfair to mix her with brainy anchers because I get a guilty felling laughing at her and although I am not of Catholic faith I feel that I should go and beat myself to pulp after watching her…so I do not watch Fox n Friends at the weekend because I like my brain to function.
Now as for Page I think it is the most disgusting thing that I have ever observed on tv and Laurie, perhaps they had words with the resident God on Fox Mr B O’Really.
