TVNewser scoops that David Rhodes, FNC’s Vice President of News, is jumping to Bloomberg to head up its US Television operations.
I have been waiting for something like this since Andrew Lack took over Bloomberg’s Mulitimedia Group. You don’t hire a big gun like Lack, who was arguably the last President of NBC News to wield a ton of autonomous power, if you aren’t planning to make a big splash. Now Bloomberg TV has Rhodes to shape its direction and vision. This is probably the tip of the iceberg. Expect more major hires in what I expect to be a major push by Bloomberg TV to make it a fourth alternative to FNC, CNN, and MSNBC…
