Heather Nauert to split time between Fox 5 and FNC…
The New York Daily News’ Richard Huff writes about Heather Nauert’s new Fox5 NY duties. TVNewser wrote about this yesterday, but I didn’t read it until today.
Nauert spent four years at Fox News Channel before jumping to ABC. She returned to FNC to co-anchor “The Big Story” with John Gibson, and later became a fill-in anchor at the network. She also anchors an hour each day at Foxnews.com.
She did a handful of fill-ins with Lamberty before being given the job full time, effectively replacing Karen Hepp, who had been doing early mornings. Hepp remains with the station as a correspondent and anchor.
“I don’t think there will be any challenges,” Nauert said of the transition to Ch. 5. “I kind of feel it will be like a second home for me.”
Her fill-in jobs at Ch. 5 already gave her a feel for the place and the style of news delivery on “Good Day Wake Up.”
“I think the style is to tell it in an interesting and compelling way,” she said. “You want to capture the viewers’ interest.”

Nauert is boring – put her full time at Fox5. Fox News Channel has a first class talent in Shannon Bream and should fast track her to an anchor spot ASAP. Smart, Great on-air savvy and a fantastic personality.
