OK, we’ve all heard about the injured dog, and how her “son” came to defend her from rescue personnel. So now we finally hear that there IS an owner, who was able to state that these dogs were related.
So now I’d like to know how these two dogs ended up on a freeway! The geniuses on F & F this a.m. apparently were not inquisitive enough to wonder how on earth the dogs got there in the first place. Were they in a car, and fell out? Did they run away from their home? Did someone steal them?
I’m an animal lover and am dismayed as to how this could happen. I was driving the other day and saw a dog in the middle section of an interstate and was just totally stunned – you just don’t expect to see an animal in a place like that. I pulled over to call for help; personnel had apparently already been alerted.
I guess there are many people who want to adopt these NYC dogs. If the owner was somehow negligent in their being loose, I hope these two sweet dogs get a new home.
Question for Spud,Terrance, or anyone who can answer:
Last week during the anchor challenge between Lester Holt & Brian Wilson you made a reference to “Iron Pants”…could either one of you please explain? I like a good joke just as much as the next person Thanks
I lived in Colorado for a while and couldn’t believe it – people out there would drive around in their pickups with the back gates wide open, with dogs in there! Why the hell (yes I’m mad) would they not bring the liftgate up to protect the dog(s) from slipping out of the bed?
It’s definitely a cable news event, and just a while ago I heard Judge Napolitano and Shep talking about it. This is the case of the a mother named Lori Drew, who went on My space or whatever and harassed one of her daughter’s friends. The friend later killed herself.
Shep and the judge seemed shocked that this woman was found guilty of anything! But wow; she contrived some sort of a story, created a fictious identity and harassed this girl over a long period of time, leading the girl to death! We as adults may be able to handle such harassment, but this was a young girl, and as teenagers, we all probably felt more vulnerable and emotionally unsteady.
I think this woman needs to go to jail for a while. This was no accident; there was malice in what she schemed. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
Missy, I’m very frustrated that there doesn’t seem to be a law to deal with this. An adult bullied a young girl into suicide. It’s evil and should be punished as an accessory to a felony.
Ron Christie never ceases to amaze me. He was on The Ed Show arguing that Obama’s 35mpg CAFE proposal for automobiles threatens American’s safety because cars will be smaller. With that kind of stupid alarmist rhetoric, my retort is: If we don’t reduce our dependence on foreign oil, the terrorists win. Suck on that, Ron.
Why does Bill O’Reilly censor American Idol’s Adam Lambert internet pictures of him kissing other guys? Can the Factor audience not stomach any homosexuality at all?

Good question Missy. Were they loose in a pickup truck? I HATE it when I see that.

Joe, we agree on something else!
