HOT: Rush Limbaugh solidifies his hold on the GOP by spearheading the “Sotomayer is a racist” charge.

NOT: Someone not named Hannity sort of gets waterboarded for charity, changing exactly one mind…his own.

NOT: Because of cable news I know way too much about Jon & Kate despite never watching TLC and not having any previous knowledge of their existence.

  2. mlong5000 Says:

Hot: Sotomayer nomination with the MSM going into full cheerleading mode.

Not: The fake Mancow waterboarding stunt which KO fell for hook line and sinker…another “high” mark for the new Murrow.

  3. stevemg Says:

Not hot: Despite all polling data showing that Republicans do not view Rush Limbaugh as their leader, liberal voices continue to try to promote a, as they see it, “guilt by association” campaign by portraying the talk show host as the GOP leader.

News bulletin: Democrats and liberals now run Washington. Start governing and stop the distraction campaign.

Hot: Shuster/Hall program to finally debut Monday on MSNBC

  5. bigred08 Says:

NOT HOT: The Mancow waterboarding stunt. Real, fake, whatever. Who gives a crap? It was a publicity stunt by a radio shock jock.

NOT HOT: The lack of insight from the media into the North Korea missile testing. How advanced is their nuke program? Are they a threat to the U.S.? Are they a threat to their neighbors? Which neighbors?

The media has done a horrible job explaining any of this and the White House press corps has been absolutely pathetic in not pressing Obama/Clinton, etc. on the situation.

NOT HOT: Obama plays golf on Memorial Day. The media ignores it, as frankly, they should.

Were it Bush, it’d be front page news in the NY Times & the lead story on Olbermoron’s show.

  6. bigred08 Says:

EVEN MORE NOT HOT: Obama reverses (again), this time on allowing lobbyists access to the White House. Yet another campaign promise bites the dust. Roll Call has all the info. The media has otherwise completely ignored this latest flip-flop.

And where’s uncleararthur when we need him? I wonder what his thoughts on this are, regarding his oft mentioned Chinese Uighers:

“The Obama administration asked the U.S. Supreme Court Friday to reject a request for a hearing from 17 Chinese Muslims currently being held at Guantanamo Bay Naval Base, arguing they have no right to come to America despite a district judge’s orders last Fall that they immediately be brought to the U.S. and released……

(And about those “horrible conditions” you libs whine about at Gitmo all the time, there’s this, in the same article):

“But not to worry — the Obama administration says the Uighurs’ detention isn’t so bad, considering.

“In contrast to individuals currently detained as enemies under the laws of war, petitioners are being housed under relatively unrestrictive conditions, given the status of Guantanamo Bay as a United States military base,” Kagan writes, saying they are “in special communal housing with access to all areas of their camp, including an outdoor recreation space and picnic area.” They “sleep in an air-conditioned bunk house and have the use of an activity room equipped with various recreational items, including a television with VCR and DVD players, a stereo system, and sports equipment.”

A “HOT” prediction for NEXT week… not this week…

News has broken that Dr. George Tiller (aka “Tiller The Baby Killer) was shot and killed outside a church this morning.

Knowing that Tiller has been a long focus of Bill O’Reilly and “The Factor,” on Monday O’Reilly is sure to talk about Tiller for quite some time. Odds are, he’ll do a “Talking Points” about how this was wrong, Tiller deserved to be brought to justice, not murdered… and so on and so forth.

Simultaneously, Keith Olbermann (as well as the other loons at MSNBC throughout perhaps part of the day, and certainly in prime time) will talk about the murder, and then directly blame O’Reilly. Olbermann will probably flat out say, “This is O’Reilly’s fault,” taking the words verbatim from one of the far-left websites.

On Tuesday or Wednesday, O’Reilly will talk about MSNBC (and the blue blogs) being dishonest, and stating that he was responsible for Tiller’s murder. And this back and forth will go on for the remainder of the week… thusly remaining a HOT story for the first week in June.

*Sigh* How predictable it’s all become.

  8. bigred08 Says:

INB, I believe your prediction is 100% accurate.

  9. stevemg Says:

sigh* How predictable it’s all become.

Yep, unless the murderer turns out to be a disgruntled employee or someone not motivated by abortion matters.

Which is as about unlikely as O’Reilly and Olbermann not peeing on one another.

  10. imnotblue Says:

Well, steve… if it turns out that this was a random murder, by someone who didn’t know who Tiller is, we might see… nahhh… Olbermann will still attack O’Reilly for having caused it, the blue blogs will still go nuts, and ever after the truth comes out, none will offer an apology (certainly not KO).

There are a lot of assumptions to be made about this story… for example, that the murderer’s motive was anti-abortion related. It’s possible that this was someone related to a Tiller patient (I believe there have been cases of that before), or maybe it was someone who Tiller wouldn’t “help” seeking revenge… who knows? I think before I make any assumptions, I’ll wait to see what the facts are… it’s all starting to sound a little too “CSI Miami” to me.

And with that, I’ll remove my sun glasses and say something like, “Dr. Tiller made a living ending lives… now it looks like (put glasses back on) someone’s ended his.”
