Was watching the press conference by ballonboy sheriff on Sunday. At the end he said he wasn’t giving anymore interviews etc… except if BOR came calling.

Seems he’s a fan of BOR. The Sheriff even suggested BOR have Tonya Reiman on the show to analyze Falcon when he was talking to Blitzer lol.

Video of Anita Dunn surfaces where she braggs about freezing out and controlling reporters during the campaign. This seems like a big “news” story to me, however, none of the “real news” networks seem to give a rats arse about it. They have been successfully neutered by The One. The country should thank their lucky stars everyday that Fox News will not be bullied and will not back down.

  3. Lonestar, the networks got their threats from Axelrod & Rahm on Sunday, and know they must remain compliant.

That’s why you won’ see one word about Anita Dunn’s praising of Chairman Mao (who killed more people than Hitler).

The media needs to wake up. It’s not just an attack on Fox News. It’s an attack on all of them.

  4. A presidential campaign tried to manipulate the press to their advantage? How, exactly, is this news?

  5. biznews247 Says:

SHANNON BREAM. She has the potential to be a FOX NEWS superstar. Attorney, intelligent, Southern Charm and absolute stunning. She fills in alot and does American Newsroom on Sunday from Noon to 2 PM …. but I really noticed her talent when interviewing former Senator Frist and Karl Rove last week when filling in for Greta. Anyone else have an opinion on Shannon ???

  6. ‘A presidential campaign tried to manipulate the press to their advantage? How, exactly, is this news?’

    1. That the press apparently went along with it. Or most of the press did. Nowhere does Dunn mention any kicking and screaming from the news media.

    2. That they continue to do it – e.g. the Fox News ‘quarantine’ approach – and the press again, with the exception of a Jake Tapper, are going along with it.

We’re really stuck here with a mostly irresponsible Fox News slinging out nonsense and being little more than a conservative megaphone and a mostly – but less so – irresponsible non-Fox News media acting, at least during the campaign, as little more than cheerleaders for the Obama campaign.

Yeah, too much of Fox news is propaganda but the White House has no business orchestrating this type of attack against any news organization, left or right, fair or unfair, balanced or unbalanced.

    It stinks.

Since this Administration is against media organizations with a ‘point of view’ I waiting for their criticism on MSNBC.

Oh PAH-leeze. You HAVE to stop getting your ‘facts’ from Glenn Beck, who judiciously edits to make people say whatever he wants them to say.

“The third lesson, and tip,” says Dunn, “actually come from two of my favorite political philosophers: Mao Tse Tung and Mother Theresa. Not often coupled with each other!”

The audience laughs: It’s a joke to everyone but the grim-faced Beck.

“But the two people I turn to most to basically deliver a simple point, which is: You’re going to make choices. You’re going to challenge. You’re going to say why not.”

From there, Dunn tells a story centered on a quote from Mao: “You fight your war and I’ll fight mine.” Beck, in a flourish, gets up and attaches a communist hammer and sickle to a blackboard.

People she ‘turns to to make a simple point’ becomes ‘praising’? Other people who have quoted Mao for humorous effect include: John McCain, Ralph Reed, Karl Rove.

    But I forgot – IOKIYAR.

  8. Her FAVORITE political philosopher. Art.

What if she had said Hitler is her favorite political philosopher? Would that have been acceptable to you?

Chairman Mao is rotting in the same layer of hell as Hitler. He’s just as evil & killed more people.

  9. And did Rove, McCain, etc. refer to Mao as one of their favorite political philosophers?

  10. unclearthur Says:

    Her FAVORITE political philosopher. Art.

“…two of my favorite political philosophers: Mao Tse Tung and Mother Theresa.”

ONLY a conservative would not recognize that’s a joke. Mao and Mother Theresa?

And here I thought it was liberals who weren’t supposed to have a sense of humor.

  11. unclearthur Says:

You guys crack me up – you’re better than the three stooges.

  12. Just remember folks… when someone on the left says something offensive… it’s a “joke” and they need to get over it. When someone on the right says something offensive, then claims “joke,” it’s inappropriate and they should be fired/voted out/forced to resign, etc.

    Sure, it’s a double standard… but at least it’s a standard.

  13. unclearthur Says:

Remember, folks, when someone on the right says something, it’s thigh-slapping humor and the left has no sense of humor. When someone on the left says the exact same thing, it’s proof, PROOF that they’re commie pinkos who should be drummed out of office.

  14. unclearthur Says:

Also? Calling the biracial President ‘racist’ is trenchant analysis. Calling Pat Buchanan ‘racist’ is ‘playing the race card’.

  15. zonedaiatlas Says:

    ^
Really? I guess you didn’t have any problems with Keith Olbermann called President Bush a Nazis, Hitler, Murderer, a War Criminal and etc…

So according to Unclearthur, Anita Dunn comment about Mao Tse Tung being one of her philosopher is a joke? Really? Does Anita Dunn knows that Mao Tse Tung was a known pedophile? He a thing for raping 12 year old girls…

  16. bushleaguer Says:

lonestar – The “Anita Dunn said they controlled the press during the campaign” deal is not a story. That is, what she is saying is that they practiced intense message control and would turn to online videos and the like to get the media to cover what they deemed relevant, not why Obama doesn’t wear a flag pin or his “ties” to Bill Ayers.

I’m not making excuses for the mainstream media – their coverage of Obama was, far too often, adoring rather than critical. However, the idea that a Presidential candidate could “control” in the way Beck is suggesting (as happens in Communist China) is absurd.

  17. claudiva33 Says:

Biznews, I agree with you about Shannon Breem but from a female perspective. She is so pleasant to watch, so professional, and smart and I really enjoy her. I also like Lauren Sevan (not sure about first name) and enjoy her. Personally, I don’t watch much weekend news because I find Jamie Colby and Julie Banderas annoying. I wish they would rethink using them on the weekend and maybe give it to other better talent they have. I also like Pattiann Brown. She and Lauren Sevan are hilarious on Red Eye.

  18. Gosh, the “Anita’s in the tree kissing Mao” line doesn’t work for me.

It was either a dumb joke or a stupid analogy. Nothing more, nothing less.

It might – might – be indicative of the mindset on the left that thinks anti-communism is only for those icky rightwinger types. The “Us progressives don’t see the world so simplistically” arrogance.

    But who cares?

  19. unclearthur Says:

That is, what she is saying is that they practiced intense message control and would turn to online videos and the like to get the media to cover what they deemed relevant, not why Obama doesn’t wear a flag pin or his “ties” to Bill Ayers.

And of course the media DIDN’T cover the stupid flagpin thing OR Bill Ayers. Heh.

Some control, huh? It’s … awesome.

  20. unclearthur Says:

It might – might – be indicative of the mindset on the left that thinks anti-communism is only for those icky rightwinger types.

or perhaps that red-baiting hysteria of finding commies under every bed is only for those icky rightwingers…

  21. or perhaps that red-baiting hysteria of finding commies under every bed is only for those icky rightwingers…

Or a “neocon” under every bed.

  22. I’m sorry. How stupid of me not to see the great joke told by Ms. Dunn. I guess I just don’t have a sense of humor.

“A man who murdered tens of millions of people is one of my favorite political philosophers.”

    HA! HA! Get it?

  23. I guess I just don’t have a sense of humor.

Well, I agree that someone on the right, serving in a Republican Administration, that used, let’s say, Pinochet in a similar way would be hammered.

And Mao killed more people in a day than Pinochet killed in his entire rule. Day? Heck, more like one hour.

  24. Here’s a good one:

Adolf Hitler and Mother Teresa are two of my favorite political philosophers.

    Get it? Hilarious, isn’t it?

They’re the two people I turn to most to make a simple point.

Chris Rock ain’t got nothing on my comedy stylings.

  25. starbroker Says:

Now was this a great prognostication just a week ago in the FBN RATINGS FLOOD comments??

Perhaps they can show the Porn replay for the 50th time. Great business programming! ha ha Pretty soon they will start airing “Wall Street” and “Barbarians At The Gate”. Just wait and see! Business related movies will be CNBC’s next move in programming.

  26. zonedaiatlas Says:

Hey Bigred, You forgot to mention that Mao was a pedophile…

  27. That makes it even funnier, zone. Don’t you get it?

Anita Dunn was talking to underage students!

A pedolphile, mass murderer is one of her favorite political philosophers.

    I can’t stop laughing.

Oh, and Artie, you might want to watch that video clip again. The audience didn’t laugh.

There were a few, and I mean FEW, nervous chuckles. That’s it.
But carry on with the comedy hour.
