Rachel Maddow’s “radio show”…or lack thereof?

The Radio Equalizer’s Brian Maloney goes at Rachel Maddow pretty hard regarding whether she lied when she stated she still does a talk radio show. I don’t have a dog in this fight and don’t really care to dig into this much but Maloney lays out what appears to be a pretty convincing argument. (via J$)

Now, a liberal cable talker, MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow, has directly told her audience something that isn’t true: that she still hosts a radio talk show.

One problem: Maddow gave up her radio talk show about a year ago and what Air America now runs is an audio version of her MSNBC program.

  1. Did Air America broadcast Olbermann for a time? Would that mean that he had a radio show? Not that I really care what she calls it.

  2. On the list of lies, failures, and misrepresentations by the cable news media, this isn’t on it. She’d have to know that she wasn’t fooling anybody so it’s probably just a mistake. Hannity’s thing was also a mistake, albeit a tad more serious. He, of course, immediately and properly apologised.

    Big Whoopity-Doo.

  3. Oh, but, Sean Hannity is the root of all evil and must be….sorry, off-topic. ;)

  4. I didn’t even know she had a tv show. Is it on some public access channel?

  5. Did you know that she doesn’t actually watch television? Amazing. ;)

  6. Yup – Hannity’s mistake was plastered all over the local newspaper this week!

I am SURE that Rachel’s “faux pas” will be treated similarly. And I also believe in the Easter Bunny!
