Geraldo Rivera has told Fox News honcho Roger Ailes he’ll quit if Ailes hires Lou Dobbs, according to a well-placed source. Rivera, who has blasted the nativist Dobbs for his “slander” against Latinos, tells us, “I never threatened to quit.” But he did let Ailes know he wouldn’t welcome working with the man who has called him a “cowardly liar.” Says Geraldo: “The last time I checked, no one here was talking to the a-—.” Still, Ailes is said to be considering Dobbs for the Fox Business Channel. “The trouble is Dobbs wants too much money – like $8 million a year,” says an insider. “But Dobbs doesn’t have much leverage. Since he quit CNN, he can’t go to CNBC.” Hiring him at Fox Business is bound to irk that channel’s Dobbs-phobes, John Stossel and Stuart Varney. But a rep for Ailes insists he isn’t eyeing Dobbs for anything.

I agree that Geraldo Rivera sees far more anti-Hispanic racism in his mind than truly exists, and he apparently can’t distinguish that from the anti-illegal immigration issue. But diversity of opinion on that network is a good thing and he almost always has strong-willed guests on his show who disagree with him. If you don’t like his show don’t watch it.
Lou Dobbs is ok, too, but he no longer has the viewer draw he once did and belongs somewhere other than FBN.

Big Red, I’m with ya (although I am a huge Dobbs fan).
Rivera can’t stand the fact that Dobbs wants our immigration laws enforced, so being a consistent liberal, he brings out the race card and calls Dobbs a bigot.
And remember, he did the same thing to Michelle Malkin, who also needs to have her own program on FNC!

He not only played the race card on Malkin (as he does with everyone), he said he would spit on her if he saw her walking down the street.
Geraldo is an idiot. He pretends to be an expert on everything, and FOX allows him to portray this fantasy.
He has been proven to be a joke of a journalist time and time again, getting stories completely wrong and making himself look like a jackass.
Here’s the question I’d like to ask Geraldo: If a Mexican immigrant wants us to enforce our immigration laws, is that Mexican a racist?
I know a lot of Hispanics are want us to enforce immigration.

Please , Please hire Dobbs. The amnesty crowd supporters just introduced a new bill that would allow everyone from any country to come in and we would support them.
Plus we could get rid of Geraldo, which would be a fine thing. Maybe he could take Beck with him and let him cry at his house.
