Limbaugh Hospitalized with chest pains…
Breaking news going on tonight with word that Rush Limbaugh has been hospitalized with chest pains. Limbaugh is vacationing in Hawaii where Obama is…and where a sizeable chunk of the White House press corps is. CNN’s Ed Henry is already at the hospital and tweeting photos…
Update: From an emailer…
CNN did a live update at 1am ET on Rush Limbaugh being hospitalized. Erica Hill was live from NY and Ed Henry was reporting from Hawaii.
Seems CNN is keeping Erica Hill in studio for the whole 1am hour as they wait for an update on Rush. Erica is doing live intros to the taped AC360 interviews from the 10pm ET hour.
I’ve seen updates on MSNBC and FNC but since there’s not a lot to report beyond the early news, there’s not much to talk about.

Thanks, Spud. This has to be the night that snow blocks my satellite dish.

Not getting much from cable. Ed Henry reported on CNN, but there’s nothing beyond “chest pains” yet . I watched the half-hour-break on The Factor’s rerun of the Palin interview. No news break. If FNC is going to let CNN run ahead of them with a “Rush in hospital” story, somebody is seriously asleep at the switch.

I saw it on Drudge earlier and FNC talked about it during Greta… well I assume they talked about it because I saw the words scrolling but had the sound off.

Page Hopkins at 12:28 says “serious condition”.

Posted on his website –
=== ALERT: Rush was admitted to a Honolulu hospital today and is resting comfortably after suffering chest pains. Rush appreciates your prayers and well wishes. He will keep you updated via RushLimbaugh.com and on Thursday’s radio program. ===

Switched to MSNBC to see how Page Hopkins was doing. Didn’t see her but did rediscover the reason I stopped watching that network. That’s a shame.

Rush will be fine for now – and I’m not saying this as “Dr. Al”. Rather, Mr. Limbaugh knows that the Democratic Congress has somehow allowed the estate tax law to expire tomorrow and so he’ll do whatever he has to in order stay alive long enough so that his fortune doesn’t go toward pork rinds for Pelosi.

Yes, FNC has been NOWHERE with this story. I’ve actuallly been watching CNN last night and overnight for news on Rush, since FNC is MIA.
FNC, more than ANYONE, owes a debt of gratitude to Rush, as he was the pioneer with respect to conservative broadcasting. FNC just picked up this format and put it on TV.
They should be camped out at his hospital and broadcast live, 24/7, until Rush is out.
Conservatives, please keep him in your prayers. And libs, please be respectful in your comments.

Hi Missy. Just woke up at 5am PST and as far as I know nothing’s changed for Rush. I don’t qualify as a classic lib, but I’m clearly not a Rush fan. I can assure you he is in my prayers, too, and you won’t get a disrespectful comment out of me.

Thanks Joe. And Happy New Year to you, and everyone else here.
I know we have our disagreements at times, but this group is fairly respectful and on good terms with each other. God bless you all.

This is funny. Also true.

Chuck Todd did a Rush update at 12:30 est from Hawaii, where he’s stationed for the Prez’s vacation. He says El Rushbo is staying in the hospital another night.

… likes the hospital food? … I’m just speculating here.

-likes the hospital food-
If so, he really is a sick man…

Well… yeah.

If they have him on the standard CCU menu, I recommend mixing in two strips of the cardboard container for added flavour.

Mmm, cardboard.

Maybe his chef can sneak something in…
