A study by Wolfgang Knorr of the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Bristol reports:
“No Rise of Atmospheric Carbon Dioxide Fraction in Past 160 Years, New Research Finds”
Of course this study should be reviewed by other scientists, but if it is true we have witnessed one of the biggest hoaxes ever perpetrated on the world. “Man made global warming” would be the equivalent in believing in witchcraft. Or In banking terms I would think this would make Bernie Madoff scam look like a petty thief.
This is from a reputable science site and by all accounts a reputable scientist!

Will Cable news report this or even investigate? No because they are much too invested in the story of Manmade global warming to even contemplate an about face.
“No Rise of Atmospheric Carbon Dioxide Fraction in Past 160 Years, New Research Finds”
The keyword here is FRACTION. Not Carbon Dioxide. the FRACTION of CO2 that remains the the atmosphere has remained steady.
Most of the carbon dioxide emitted by human activity does not remain in the atmosphere, but is instead absorbed by the oceans and terrestrial ecosystems. In fact, only about 45 percent of emitted carbon dioxide stays in the atmosphere.
THIS is the number that hasn’t gone up in 160 years. Which still leaves ALMOST half of human emitted CO2 to remain in the atmosphere.
Also:
However, some studies have suggested that the ability of oceans and plants to absorb carbon dioxide recently may have begun to decline and that the airborne fraction of anthropogenic carbon dioxide emissions is therefore beginning to increase.
Art is correct; I misinterpreted the meaning of the word fraction. However, as usual, Art demonstrates his distinct lack of class with an personal insult.
Al demonstrates his willingness to twist the truth to conform to his preferred beliefs. “Will Cable news report this or even investigate? No because they are much too invested in the story of Manmade global warming to even contemplate an about face.”
Will Al stop grasping at straws in his effort to prove global warming an evil liberal hoax? (Although why a clean planet is a LIBERAL value, I do not know.) Or is he too invested in his ‘all things liberal are bad’ value system?
“Al demonstrates his willingness to twist the truth to conform to his preferred beliefs.”
Quite the contrary, I promptly demonstrated that when given new facts I’m the 1st to correct the record. That is the antithesis of twisting the truth and the mark of someone seeking the truth.
Sorry to waste everyone’s time on this one.
BTW, Al is much better looking and richer than me. That’s why Laural never talks to me.
Heh, whoops. Sorry, Al. You ARE significantly better looking than L&J. So…
Will L&J stop grasping at straws in his effort to prove global warming an evil liberal hoax? (Although why a clean planet is a LIBERAL value, I do not know.) Or is he too invested in his ‘all things liberal are bad’ value system?
I’m pretty sure this report makes an unproven (but still quite possibly correct) assumption on the amount of additional CO2 measured in the atmosphere that is the result of human activity. Other researchers have pointed out, given the Earth’s 3/4 ocean coverage, that rising ocean temperatures as a direct result of solar heating would emit a substantial amount of CO2 into the atmosphere, because warmer waters cannot retain as much – like in your warmed carbonated beverage bottle. Conversely, as ocean temps cool more CO2 is pulled from the atmosphere.
The principal is proven but, to my knowledge, the overall theory is still not ready for prime time. Seems to me measuring ocean temps over time would be a more accurate scale of what’s been happening to Earth’s climate over the millennia… but (as “Bones” McCoy would say), “Dammit, man, I’m a doctor not a physicist!”
As for the other stuff you gents were talking about in front of my back… you’re all off your trolley.

(2010-01-03 Medical News Today) Pregnancy Risk Evaluation Program (MEPREP), in conjunction with the USFDA, will fund research to study the effects of prescription medications used during pregnancy.
I admit it’s not a very sexy story, but its importance level is quite high. You’ll often see warnings on medications about them being contraindicated during pregnancy. More often than not, this is because the effects of the medication on pregnant women or their unborn babies hasn’t been evaluated. Sometimes we can prescribe them anyway and do if needed, but there’s that unknown associated risk. Even if that risk doesn’t materialise into anything, there’s still that added worry for the patient and family.
Don’t know if this study approval is from the current administration or a left-over from the previous one, but it’s a fantastic use of resources. And about time.

Granted, this is only one facility in Arizona. However, this certainly is not good news for the future of health care in this country.
Kudos to Al for making this prediction in earlier posts during the Health Care discussions.
