Fireworks on Morning Joe…
Politico’s Anne Schroeder Mullins muscles in on Michael Calderone’s turf by writing about a dust up involving Lawrence O’Donnell on Morning Joe this morning…
Former Bush speechwriter Mark Thiessen went on “Morning Joe” Friday morning to talk about national security. But the Bushie wound up on the receiving end of a yelling tirade from Lawrence O’Donnell, who was on the New York set.
The liberal O’Donnell – who’s hosting “The Ed Show” Friday night on MSNBC – wound up yelling at Thiessen, saying he was “lying.” As the show’s hosts tried to get him to stop, O’Donnell grew more irate, talking over everyone. Thiessen had to ask, “Can I get a word in?”
Finally, “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough put an end to it, saying: “Stop. Let’s stop. We’re going to break right now. We’re going to break right now. We’ll be right back and I’m going to be interviewing Mark by myself. We’ll be right back.”
When the show came back from the unscripted break, the show was announced as: “Thiessen Interview Take 2.”

I think someone needs to explain the concept of a talk show to Mr. O’Donnell. He seems to think he’s having a ‘conversation’ with someone in a bar.
No one else matters to him. Not the guests or the viewers. Just him and the other person.
I do wish both sides – yes, chiefly the Republicans but also the Democrats – would stop with the ‘You’re deliberately helping the terrorists’ nonsense.
I think some of this Administration’s policies on terror are wrong. Wrong as in misguided, poorly thought out. But that doesn’t mean they’re deliberately trying to weaken us.
Bad policy isn’t wilful policy. Critics can attack the reasons and not always question the motives.
Yeah, who am I kidding?

Duh? “Bad policy isn’t willful policy?” Of course it is – or are you saying that this administration doesn’t put any thought in to their policy regarding terrorism? Now THAT I would believe! If you actually watched the complete event on Morning Joe Larry baby actually said that it was because of Bush that we were attacked on 9/11! If you believe that I have an ocean front property with a great view to sell you here in Wisconsin.

If you believe that this Admininstration is deliberately and willfully promoting ‘bad’ policies and deliberately and willfully trying to weaken our security, there’s nothing I can say in response. That’s the type of hooey that O’Donnell was spouting. I reject it from either side.
I find it strange – bizarre really – that people believe that this Admininstration – or any Administration – actually doesn’t care whether we’re attacked again and hundreds if not thousands of Americans are killed.
At the very least, it would be a political disaster if not a moral one.
You and Larry are certainly welcome to think otherwise.

We used to watch LD on The McLaughlin Group back in the day (before ol’John went totally senile) and we don’t remember exactly when, but at some point he had some sort of breaking point (maybe mental snap) and was never the same since.

Liberals are getting more unhinged by the day.

Yeah, but conservatives who think this Administration is deliberately – not neglectfully but deliberately – weakening our ability to defend ourselves from terror are not far behind.

Guess Joe will be taken to the woodshed for not allowing uncle Larry keep going on with his anti-Bush rant.
