The Hazards of Live TV: #25,049…NOT

Beckel strikes again on Hannity. First the finger, now an S-bomb. Let’s see the MSM media writers (and FNC) ignore this one… (video via J$)

Update: I’ve changed my mind thanks to Kraptv’s comment. It wasn’t an S-bomb. It sounded like one right up until Kraptv said the word was “yet”. Then it stopped sounding like an S-bomb. So Beckel is innocent. And since I helped cast aspersions his way I must apologize.

NewsBusters’ Carolyn Plocher writes about Ali Velshi tweeting that Jim Bunning was an embarassment for blocking the Unemployment extension Bill in the Senate. Then again maybe Velshi called him an embarrassment for this

More Sanchez bashing…

The Miami New Times’ Kyle Munzenrieder blasts Rick Sanchez for what happened Saturday with Sanchez’s tsunami anchoring…

Our longstanding love-hate relationship with former WSVN turned CNN anchor Rick Sanchez continues, and as it does more often than not, it’s veering more toward hate at the moment.

This weekend he got a chance to break out of his Twitter-addicted regular show on CNN, to host some of the network’s coverage of the earthquake on Chile, and uh, it was pretty painful. In the clip above he apparently thinks Hawaii is located off the coast of Peru.

Update: Sanchez addressed this today and Mediaite has the video

CNBC’s graphics change…

Posted in CNBC on March 1, 2010 by icn2

Newscast Studio blogs about the changes to CNBC’s graphics which debuted this morning…

Overall, the new package is a good improvement over the past graphics, but the stock market box seems almost too big. Also, all of the graphics seem very large when you compare them to the size of space they actual take up on air, since CNBC chops off the top and bottom for tickers.

The package uses many reflections and “wet floor” effects to help give it a modern feel. The CNBC bug has also been changed and now cycles through various icons of where you can watch CNBC including online, on your phone and on TV.

Charlie Gasparino Interview…

Wall St. Cheat Sheet has an interview with FBN’s Charlie Gasparino… (via J$)

Damien Hoffman: Charlie, was there any specific reason you moved over to FOX?

Charlie: I always wanted to work for FOX. People keep asking me “What happened? Why would you want to work for FOX?” FOX is a place that’s good for me. I would have come here sooner if I didn’t have a very labor intensive book. I couldn’t just start a job while taking off two months.

I needed to put a lot of time into this job. I’m doing a book now called Bought And Paid For — the unholy alliance between Wall Street and big government. But it’s not the type of work as The Sellout.
