However, these slurs were either said by a very few people, or possibly not at all! Here is one clip I found; if anyone can hear anything other than “boo” and “kill the bill”, please tell us of the exact location in the recording: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SCs6pSE8_I&feature=player_embedded
I’m guessing this story may have been contrived, as that Susan woman (who used to be with CNN) did last year at the first Tea Parties that were held.
Al: Yeah my bad, I got the wrong guy. Although it kinda puts the kibosh on the marijuana makes you stupid myth.
Anderson took it well though. I imagine he took a lot of abuse from his coworkers.
-kinda puts the kibosh-
Not really. Cheech Marin is known to be a pretty smart guy. Had Andersen Cooper lost to Tommy Chong, however, that would have been truly embarrassing.
-Debbie Schlussel on Hannity’s Freedom Alliance-
If true, it will become hot and has the potential to abruptly end Hannity’s FNC career. The Media Matters write-up appears to have done a good job of raising the questions without unfair or knee-jerk accusations, but that’s most likely because of their previous criticisms of Ms. Schlussel. If untrue this should rightly fade away quietly because of the good work that this charity performs.
“Cheech Marin is known to be a pretty smart guy.”
True but he did smoke a lot of weed. When AC interviewed Marin it was revealed that winning Jeopardy is as much about how fast you can push the button as knowledge. Turns out the index finger is faster than the thumb. Who knew.
I doubt this will have any effect on Hannity’s FNC status; far right talkers & politicians don’t shame easily. I expect it will all be blamed on KO or a vast MSM conspericy.
You can get a good overview of the case against Hannity on Schlussel’s blog. Hannity’s side, such as it is, can be found on News Busters.

Michelle Malkin has blogged about the issue to she supports Hannity.
-Hannity’s FNC status; far right talkers & politicians-
Far-right talkers and politicians aren’t Hannity’s audience, conservative-leaning regular folks are. They don’t have a history of showing much sympathy for anyone who abuses a charity, especially so when it’s used to pull on their heart-strings. If this is true his name will be dirt.
Which is also why such accusations should be carefully researched and honestly reported. False accusations can do harm to all worthwhile charities.
“Far-right talkers and politicians aren’t Hannity’s audience, conservative-leaning regular folks are.”
Al: It’s not his audience who are far right talkers; it’s Hannity.
I’m not making any judgement on the case itself; just saying it’s a story about a cable news personality that bears watching. The fact they (Malkin, Newsbusters etc.) are bothering to defend him so vigorously; against a blogger who most people have never heard of; does perk my interest a bit.
I read the rebuttal from Freedom’s Alliance, and it sounds as if Hannity is innocent of some of the abuses cited by Schlussel (i.e., having FA pay for his travel expenses, etc.).
However, the couple hundred bucks given to these very gravely injured servicemen is disgraceful. They are in bad shape and need tons of help. And it sounds as if Hannity has given a total of $300K, to FA and the Wounded Warriors. That is a lot more money than I’ll ever be able to give, but is really a pittance compared to all the money Hannity must have amassed at this point.
I hate the liberals (Hollywood types or musicians) who enlist the masses to contribute to charities, yet give little of their own money to the cause. Now I’m disappointed in Hannity as well. He needs to fork over some serious cash to help these people he tells us he supports.
-not making any judgement on the case itself- & -$300K pittance-
I know you aren’t, Fritz. Nor am I at this point. While not a fan of Hannity & Hannity, I have been impressed with his desire to raise funds for America’s heroes.
$300K is a lot of money, it doesn’t include his time, and he probably gives to other worthwhile charities as well. Don’t be disappointed in him, yet, Missy, but it is good thing to maintain a sceptical eye.

I’m anticipating that someone here will post reports of supposed “slurs” voiced toward certain black dems and Barney Frank, as was reported by ABC News: http://newsbusters.org/blogs/brent-baker/2010/03/20/abc-anti-obamacare-protest-turned-very-ugly-racial-and-homophobic-slurs .
