Bret Baier had a clip from Jimmy Kimmel of an anchor repeatedly referring to ‘Shazam’. I wish I could find it, just for Missy. We may have found a lurker..
…although we’re sure Joe will have something weird to say.
Like what? It’s a stupid ad from a probably young and definitely stupid political hack. Question: what’s the deal with internet attack ads? Maybe I’m just a Luddite who doesn’t understand ‘viral video’, but don’t you have to search for the video to see it? Who’s searching for attack ads?
I think they put them online because it is free to post and they hope that the news channels will play them on air for free during segments that debate them.
Posting this again since my ‘moderations’ disappeared. Someone was offended by my ‘hate’.
Here’s the best line in it — ”Johnson was wise. Obama is smart. There’s your difference.”
God help us, that idiot Ellis Pelican is just too much! How can someone be such a moron and still breathe (I’m sure I’ll make a typo here; it always happens when calling someone else out).
Anyway, he sees NO REASON as to why the media should bother stating that the AZ law has to do with ILLEGAL immigration, and not just “immigration” in general. Nor does he see a problem with the media reporting on the story, about 12 to 1 against the law (true, the media shouldn’t be reporting in a biased, but when has that stopped them?).
And he thinks Jonathan Alter (mega lib) is an excellent reporter!
Pelican is just TOO MUCH! Thank God he is only a part-timer on Fox News Watch. When he does appear on FNC, put him on with someone who will challenge his idiotic leftist statements!
I watch Fox News Watch because it feels so good when I stop. Judy Miller supported Jon Scott’s assertion that Alter’s book is an “Obama suck-up”, even though she – and presumeably everyone else, since it’s not out ’til May 18 – admitted she hasn’t read it. So explain to me why anything written about Obama that is not from a right-wing position qualifies as a suck-up. Is it possible that a person from a moderate or liberal perspective might be capable of a reasoned analysis of a President’s first year in office? Hey, I have an idea. How about READING THE BOOK FIRST. Idiots.
All I’ve heard about Alter’s book, so far, is that he quotes Rahm (rambo, dead fish) Emmanuel, AND the POTUS, as cussing a lot. At first, I thought maybe it wasn’t favorable toward 0bama. But upon further speculation, maybe he’s showing what “tough guys” we’ve got in the White House (no way!).
As you say, Joe, we’ll have to wait for it to be released to know for sure.
Is it just me, or does Heather Nauert suddenly look competent? At least when compared with the usual weekend crew. She seems minimally-enhanced and moderately intelligent. I could, however, live quite well without hearing ‘get this’ in a so-called ‘news’-context.
One of my patients is a retired old rig supervisor. He was telling me that there’s been a federal oil rig catastrophe plan in place since the mid ’90s and it wasn’t followed. Just one example… he said the plan called for at least 20 large ships (US Navy, Coast Guard, private freighters, etc) that could be on-site within 20 hours to do nothing but circle the spill so their wake would help contain the contamination area while the more specialised vessels were en route and/or deploying floating dikes and siphon equipment.
I have no way of knowing if he’s on-the-mark or full of BS, but he blames the failure on the government reorganisation which put Homeland Security in charge of this sort of disaster. Says it’s like putting a local fire department chief in charge of building code enforcement – tangentially related but far too diffused to be efficient.
Haven’t heard much from this angle on the cable news nets. Yet.
-Is it possible that a person from a moderate or liberal perspective might be capable of a reasoned analysis…-
No.
Right, only someone with nothing but disdain for everything he stands for can write an intelligent analysis of Obama’s presidency. You’re either being facetious, or – as has been your norm lately – a partisan hack.
I caught the second half of Bloomberg’s “ratings grabber”, FIA GT sports car racing this morning. There was no commentary! Just pictures and sound of cars running around. Very weird.

Aah, thanks DV. That makes sense. It’s also ridiculous. The media is going to show an ad that only the media is looking for. Brilliant.

I’m anyone. She hates being moderated.
This court case about protecting sources will likely have repercussions here:

-Troublemaker-
Since he went to all the trouble of teeing that up so nicely, it seemed just plain rude to let it pass without taking a good swing.

Saves some of us the trouble, and keeps us out of same.

He had such an interesting head. Can’t really say what’s happened to it over the years.

Yeah, they’re old. It’s wonderful that the Times didn’t bother to report this crap until after the bill passed.
