I heard her on the radio and didn’t know who it was. I was thinking, “Who’s this excellent personality that accidentally ended up on MSNBC’s dayside?” Less Tamron, more Page..
We’re glad that Page is working again, but with The Luv Guv??
She deserves better than the mess that is MSNBC. But Fox is more likely to hire and give significant airtime to the new Miss USA…especially after the stripper pole pics.
I hear ya about Page being paired with Spitzer (ew). It reminds me of Laura’s comment about Jarrett being stuck with Valley Girl Huddy. Hopkins must have wondered what fresh Hell she was in that she had to work with an ex-John.
Damn… I missed it, too. I was all excited about Page coming to MSNBC a few months ago, and I missed her at the best opportunity. Hopefully, she comes back and does some more anchoring. She’s awesome… a well-bred FNC talent (one I can enjoy) that decided to finally jump ship. Bravo.
At least we always know where to find Joe: fixated on us.
In any case, the truth is that Page is smart and beautiful woman who didn’t flaunt her body in order to succeed, and sadly, her career suffered for it.
Can you think of any other reason that dimwit got her job?

Good point. As much as I love gorgeous anchors, and (as a man) can’t complain about flaunting outfits, news is not the place to do it.
Also, I had no idea she was “pushed out” from Fox… why would they do that to such a great talent? Fox is stacked with talented anchors, and now they want to get rid of them for borderline smut? Too bad… it’s MSNBC’s gain, and I hope they take advantage of it.
With their atrocious daytime numbers, MSNBC can afford to give Page her own hour, and it’s almost guaranteed she will shine for them.
“Pushed out” depends on how one looks at it. The replaced her and her weekend Fox & Friends co-hosts with a trio of dopes. One bit of speculation I read was that her co-hosts had been wanting to get off that show for their own career reasons, so the planners decided on a wholesale change. She wasn’t thrilled with going back to being a newsreader and couldn’t reach a contract deal that included what she wanted.
Sort of goes with the job of being a news talent. Eh?
Don’t know about MSNBC, but for Fox the news readers are tasked with doing the news reading for some of the local affiliates. I think they do radio, too. Point is, the prompter might have messed up and she didn’t know which network/programme she was reading for.

I don’t want to sound ridiculous but she is the best afternoon anchor I have seen in awhile.
-Less annoying than Tamron Hall, delivery of Alex Witt but with more charisma.
Hope MSNBC can find her a slot—but looking at the abysmal failure that is MSNBC daytime—I doubt it.

I missed it! I miss her… Why didn’t you tell us sooner?

Why FNC let her go I’ll never understand. Let her do a news report opposite Hannity & Hannity and I’ll become a regular MSNBC viewer.

I didn’t know until it was airing. I did RT Steve Krakauer’s tweet about it though.

I’m assuming this sentence makes sense to some people. I’m old.

He’s talking about tweets, joe, not twits. *wedge*

Geez, I’m not that old. “Tweets” I get. “RT”..?
May 17, 2010 at 8:05 pm
RT = retweet, as in someone reposting someone else’s tweet

Tweet and retweet? God help us all.

She didn’t jump ship – she was pushed out, in favor of a shrill airhead with too tight, low cut tops and too short miniskirts.

Always back to this with you.

-Fox is stacked…-
Perfect.

Page Hopkins is stacked, too.

Then she must have been thrilled to read the update at :30 during today’s re-air of Hardball…which she forgot the name of.

Different job… and seemingly part-time at that.
