I guess the too-obvious answer is Olbermann..just because he’s Olbermann. On the other hand, Beck was prattling a bit more than usual today. He went on about the mood he’s been in lately, and how that had something to do with him appearing to pick-on Obama’s daughter. Could be trouble in Lithium-land..

I don’t know what exactly would have changed with Olbermann that would cause people to want to leave to be honest Laura.
Beck wouldn’t amaze me with all the minor noises we’ve heard of out FOX in general about people questioning his program and the network’s lurch to support him.
Still, maybe it would be an exodus from the ratings flop John King’s show has generally been. I just don’t know, it wouldn’t make sense for people to flee from CB’s show since she’s said she’s leaving CNN.

O’Reilly’s been pretty chill lately, not attacking the low-rated demons that are out to get him. Eh, it’s probably not him. I just felt like throwing that in.

Dylan Ratigan’s off-kilter show? Just wondering.
Beck has already had a change of leadership – but if I recall correctly he was shown the door by Fox. It’s too bad…Becks show used to be entertaining. These days it is like the 700 Club with mixing God with the founding fathers.

I agree with BL about Beck. Many days Beck sounds like watching a televangelist.

Larry King?

I’m thinking Hannity & Hannity… he had that dust-up about trying to do his show during a tea party conference a few weeks back.
June 2, 2010 at 9:38 am
Ooh, Hannity. Can you imagine being forced to watch that dreck every night? “Who’s on tonight, Irv?” ”Dick, Dana, and some country singer.” ”The singer crapped-out. Who can we get?” ”Call Nugent. He’s always available.”

bushleaguer, if i recall correctly.. it was a veteran Fox producer who was working on Beck’s show, someone who had been at the network a long while and was pushed out (went to MSNBC in fact) so Beck could bring in his own people.
maybe it is Beck. he’s the only one at Fox about whom there have been reports to this effect (eg those Kurtz articles saying the journalists had issues with him).

Is Beck in Hannity territory…y’all agree with him, but can’t stand his show? I’ve forced myself to watch it twice, and it’s unbelievably boring. In my evangelical days I watched a lot of religious programming, and it’s just like that: one guy talking at you for 60 minutes, with no concept of things like “being interesting”.

^ It’s some of the most counter-intuitive programming on television. NO one in their right mind would set out to create a program like that, and expect it to be successful. I get the feeling that it surprises him, as well.

I’ve watched Beck a half dozen times over the past two months. Usually it’s too boring/too Kool Aid sweet for me, but a couple of times (with his guests doing most of the talking) the show was brilliant.
Beck isn’t a Hannity-style Pez dispenser of repetitive…stuff.

^His predilection for N@zi terminology and conspiracies is mindboggling. The bad guys are everywhere.
June 2, 2010 at 8:52 pm
I don’t agree with him but I’ve watched quite a few of his shows, mostly last year. Seems like his appeal is fundamentally emotional and if you get reeled into that, you might keep watching. It might be a good program if he knew what he was talking about regarding politics and history, but he doesn’t. So it’s not interesting.

He seems to think all the Founding Fathers were born again Christians. Thomas Jefferson would beg to differ..
June 3, 2010 at 6:18 am
^ No he doesn’t. Where’d you pick that up?

Last Friday’s Beck show was incredible. It was all about the participation of African-Americans in both the Revolutionary and Civil Wars. I don’t know why children in school aren’t learning about this.
