Tucker Carlson vs. Keith Olbermann…
Wow, this is interesting. The Daily Caller has acquired the domain keitholbermann.com and plans to use it…
“We plan to make The Daily Caller the one-stop online shop for Keith Olbermann commentary,” said Editor-in-Chief Tucker Carlson. “We will be THE Keith Olbermann superstore.”
Does Olbermann Watch know about this? I sense a threat to their title. Oh, wait…that’s right…Olbermann Watch threw in the towel quite a ways back and basically sucks now and is a poor imitation of its former self. Never mind…
“This is part of our long-term growth strategy,” added Publisher and CEO Neil Patel. “Our future acquisition targets include several other annoying cable news commentators.”
Olbermann, the host of a low-rated nightly show on MSNBC, attacked The Daily Caller last week on Twitter. “Daily Caller has never known what Daily Caller is talking about,” he wrote.

This is a stroke of genius. Pointing out that his show is low-rated and then getting Coulter to comment helped make this more than a stunt, it’s a declaration of war.

“Olbermann Watch threw in the towel quite a ways back and basically sucks now and is a poor imitation of its former self.”
Remove the word “Watch” from the previous sentence and you’ve nailed it!

“Our future acquisition targets include several other annoying cable news commentators.”
Gee I wonder if that includes Beck & Hannity? They certainly fill that description.

Fritz, unfortunately, I’m guess Beck and Hannity own any and all incarnations of websites with their names in the title.
It is criminal that MSNBC management allowed this to happen.

God, that’s true. How incompetent do you have to be to let that happen in this day and age?

Tucker Carlson has taken it upon his shoulders to resuscitate Keith Olbermann’s career.
Olbermann should be flattered, someone cares enough to critique or satirize him on a regular basis. This is only drawing attention to Keith Olbermann and MSNBC by extension. What’s the old saying – any publicity is good publicity, it’s when they stop talking about you – you have to worry.

Au contraire, Laree. Tucker has taken it upon his shoulders to make The Daily Caller a Daily Fixture on Countdown. KO is incapable of ignoring any slight, and will rebut every word Carlson types every night. Brilliant.

I agree with Joe.

I think it’s a: You wash my back, I’ll wash your back situation.
Tucker Carlson and Rachel Maddow have some good timing when they both pile on RNC chairman Michael Steele at the same time.
I suspect although Tucker is now a Fox News contributor he’s still is in touch with his old MSNBC buddies, and he needs some buzz for his Daily Caller venture.
I think some of this is “staged”

Ooooh! The inane v. the insane.
July 15, 2010 at 11:29 am
Go Tucker Go !!! Olbermann’s just mad he didn’t buy the domain name first he could have anytime he has money.
July 15, 2010 at 2:03 pm
That’s awesome… keep giving Keith Olbermann publicity Tucker. You’re venture at Fox News is obviously not going anywhere, because you’re too focused on your little website project here. And now, you’ll have all the time in the world to get your henchmen to obsess over Keith. As Joe said, brilliant.

By the way, regarding:
Does Olbermann Watch know about this? I sense a threat to their title. Oh, wait…that’s right…Olbermann Watch threw in the towel quite a ways back and basically sucks now and is a poor imitation of its former self. Never mind…
Spud, aren’t you good friends with J$, who runs OlbermannWatch? Or, are you just being playfully sarcastic going after the site?
July 15, 2010 at 2:35 pm
Who does the lead in to Maddows show again anyone anyone…didn’t Maddow get her start on Tucker’s show on MSNBC?
July 17, 2010 at 5:17 am
Do people still watch Olbermann?? and why?
July 17, 2010 at 10:10 am
…and why?
Um, because lots of people agree with much that he has to say, and email him when he turns into a douchebag. Why do people who don’t agree with a cable personality’s politics act astonished that those who agree with him still watch?
Why do you watch Glenn Beck? Why do you listen to Rush Limbaugh? It’s so weird..I don’t understand..
