NOT HOT: That piece of crap, the Washington Post, really outdid itself this time. We are all familiar with how, when someone really wants to deviate the subject of a story, they find the most unflattering photo possible. Well, look what the WaPo did with Christine O’Donnell: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/09/18/AR2010091801512.html
Whatever one can say about Ms. O’Donnell, she is a cute girl. The person from the AP who selected this picture probably looks like a giant turd-face!
And this ties in to Cable News because the article mentioned she was exhausted and cancelled her appearance on FNS.
And another thing – the Sarah Palin affect will take place once again. I initially thought Christine O’Donnell was a weak candidate. But the more she’s attacked, the more I (and gazillions of others) will come to her defense.
And why the hell is no one talking about the Marxist with whom she’s competing? The clown’s name is Chris Coons, who almost ran his former jurisdiction into bankruptcy! Why are we not talking about him?????
Hmmm. On the one side a guy who made a joke 25 years ago about being a Marxist; he’s an evil doer.
On the other side a girl who bragged on national TV she dated a Satanist and attended satanic rituals and said she would have given up Anne Frank to the Germans; she’s A-OK in Missy’s book. You just keep on defending her Missy.
There are hours & hours of wacky video of this girl on many shows. She was on the Factor; she was on Politically Incorrect, she was on Hardball; heck she was on C-span. They had her on because she said outragous things and looked cute; well maybe not C-span. By the time this is over she’ll make Sharron Angle sound like Laura Bush.
You wouldn’t look to the NRSC for fact-checking Democrats anymore than you would look to the NDSC for fact-checking Republicans.
“Fritz, I believe she DENOUNCED that way of life, did she not?”
I’m sure she did and I accept that. In fact I doubt she even meant it at the time. Saying outrageous things was how she got on TV and so that’s where she wanted to be at that time.
I believe Coons has DENOUNCED is Marxist statement as a joke as well. So can I assume you will accept his statement as the end of that story just as you expect me to accept that O’Donnell is not into witchcraft anymore or would lie to save Anne Frank from the Germans. And I do.
tinafromtampa, I saw Bill Maher’s comment about Obama doing “half-assed” things because he’s only “half-black.” I couldn’t believe it. And you’re right, no one has picked up on it. Now if a conservative comedian had said it…but I can’t think of a conservative comedian. And I don’t think Maher was trying to be funny; I think he meant it. The only good thing about seeing those 15-year-old “Politically Incorrect” videos featuring O’Donnell is seeing how much funnier and less angry Maher used to be.
fritz3, so 20 years ago O’Donnell had a thing for a guy who was into witchcraft. Today kids are into vampires and actually biting one another’s necks (which, according to the local news, is becoming a medical problem because of the spread of infection). If one of these young wanna-be vampires decides to run as a Democrat in 20 years, should her/his neck-biting, blood-sucking past be a campaign issue?

Rachel Maddow dealt with this issue on her last show. I’m not sure how sincere this guy is but he looks & sounds like some of the Tea Party types I’ve seen on cable news and even read here on occasion. Rachael took the insults with all the seriousness it deserved. http://www.maddowblog.msnbc.msn.com/

HOT: Fox airs Media Matters ad on Factor. And no one knew what they were talking about.
HOT: MSNBC beats CNN on Tuesday primary coverage. Maybe a hint of things to come in November. Yes, I know, Fox beat both CNN & MSNBC but that was expected. If they didn’t that would be HOT.
HOT: Christine O’Donnell coverage. When you have hours of wacky comments on TV and you beat the big favorite in a primary; you get wall to wall coverage.
HOT: Coverage of the female reporter in the Jets locker room. Sports, sex, controversy; whats not to cover.
HOT: The Factor gets $35,000 for a :30 second ad. That’s comparable with Leno/Letterman ad rates.. But Fox only has old viewers and nobody pays for them .

Hot: Kiran Chetry probably really wishing she was back at Fox News Channel. Oh those greener pastures haven’t been so green now have they? (by green-I mean the more money she was offered to jump).
But she’ll probably get a pass since she tweets w/ site.
Not Hot: Karl Rove and other Lame Stream Republicans who are attacking O Donnell.
Not Hot: Lame stream media up in arms over O Donnell dating a Satanic dude and dabbling in witchcraft in her younger days? What happened to “freedom of religion”? These same journalists are the same ones who defend Muslims all the time. They get upset when a pastor wants to exercise his freedom of speech by burning a Koran. They don’t say a peep when a cartoonist has to go into hiding because of threats from Muslims. Also the same people who defended Obama and his attending a racist/ anti-Christ based church. Just a bunch of black separatist nonsense yet they defended that.
Of course what O Donnell did was before she became a Christian so who cares?
Hot: Jimmy Carter (still upset that Teddy ran against him in 1980) blasts Ted Kennedy over Universal Health Care! ha ha One bitter ex-Pres
Hot: Bill Maher using the “N” word on Larry King and Larry King laughing.
Casey Stegall’s teeth are entirely too white. It’s irritating.
Am I the only one that’s loopy enough to notice that Steven Whitmore, the L.A. County Sheriff rep on this cult-story, bears a more-than-slight resemblance to James Whitmore? The cricket-noises in my head I shall interpret as a ‘yes’..
“Not Hot: Lame stream media up in arms over O Donnell dating a Satanic dude and dabbling in witchcraft in her younger days?”
The media isn’t ‘up in arms’ over O’Donnell dabbing in witchcraft. It’s the kind of story they live for and there’s video to boot. They love it.
The ones unhappy about the turn of events are O’Donnell rabid supporters. They are just hoping she doesn’t end up like Dan Maes.
joeremi – I forgot about Dennis Miller.
starbroker – Re Bill Maher using the N-word on Larry King: How does Maher get away with saying the things he says? Thanks to joeremi, I can now say if Dennis Miller had said such things, it would be all over the news.
Jay Leno a conservative? I think that’s a stretch.
“How does Maher get away with saying the things he says?”
I don’t think he cares. He tends to say what’s on his mind and it gets him in trouble sometimes- see ‘Politically Incorrect’.
Must be something about atheists. Christopher Hitchens is the same way.
Carolmr– I don’t know how Maher gets away with it. But as long as his fellow liberals in the media don’t call him out on it…who will?
Another liberal comic (very funny one) CK Louise did a bit on his tv show. Another comic told him how blacks are bad tippers. He gets upset. Talks with a black waitress and she says, “everyone knows
N * * * ERS don’t tip. ”
You didn’t hear a peep about that. But had it been on a conservative comics show. Oh my.
But then Bill Maher also gets away with saying Obama would be better if “he were fully black”.
Of course in Bills world…. KENYAN is code word for N * * * er. And Larry King laughed it up.
“How does Maher get away with saying the things he says?”
I explained this already. He’s an R-rated comic; it’s all he does. Miller is a news commentator on FNC, plus has a news-focused radio. His “the same” would be under a different microscope now.
Geraldo used COD’s “witchcraft” to justify his much-maligned “Satan Worship” special from years ago. Is there anything he has done that he won’t try to “fix”?

NOT: Christine O’Donnell doesn’t go on MJ, and the MJ crew whine about it.

Missy, that’s an “unflattering photo”? I don’t think so.
I can’t believe she’s dodging Chris Wallace. That’s lame.
September 19, 2010 at 12:41 am
Fritz, I believe she DENOUNCED that way of life, did she not?
And Joe, from what you’ve told us you are not visually impaired. You think that picture of her is flattering? Really?????
September 19, 2010 at 12:58 am
Missy, I see you’re up for the Red Eye rerun. Beats the heck outta From the Fox Files, eh? (which was on earlier..ick)
I think the “whaddyagonnado” look on her face is just like every other pic: disarmingly adorable. The Force is strong with this one. I fear her..

Dennis Miller.
Maher is a comic who says incendiary things. It matters about as much as who O’Donnell dated 20 years ago. Not so much.
September 19, 2010 at 10:37 am
The Force is strong with this one
Vader to Skywalker: “Luke, I am your father.”
Joe to O’Donnell: “Who’s your daddy?”
Sorry, couldn’t resist.

I’d say Beck but it’s too easy.

Jay Leno. Conervative politics, conservative in his comic style. Nothing “incendiary” about it. Nothing funny, either..
