Lebron James is blaming “race” for the blowback from his decision to leave Cleveland the way he did (with a “hey, look at me” TV special”). I can officially put him in the category of athletes I no longer have respect for. Playing the race card is desperate & weak.
Surely these people know how dumb they sound, right? Then again, it’s not like anybody is going to challenge them on it. I can see ESPN devoting an hour-long special to “racism in sports” or something.
Look in LeBron’s eyes. Do you see any evidence of self-awareness? We’re talking about a person who thinks being tall and able to shoot a ball into a round thingy is important.
As a cyclist it pains me to say this, but they should cancel that damn race. The whole history of it has a giant asterisk on it, including Lance “Sure, I can beat cancer and win it 7 times in a row. No problem” Armstrong. Buncha dopers. All of ‘em.

C’mon Joe. You think Whitman knowingly hired an illegal? For what purpose? She used an employment agency. If someone were to hire an illegal it would be to save a few bucks per hour. You wouldn’t go through an employment agency. This whole thing is stupid. The best part was the maid tearfully looking into the camera while looking down at her script every 1.5 seconds to see what to say next. What a sham. Congrats Gloria Alred, you’re in the news again.
FWIW, I’m a conservative but I could care less about the CA gov’s race. That state is a disaster and will continue to be until there is wholesale change. Meg Whitman isn’t going to bring that. She can’t with such a heavily liberal state legistature to deal with.
This maid is threatening to sue over financial abuse. She was making $23/hr. She want’s back pay & reimbursement for mileage. This is a Gloria Alred story, plain & simple.
LS, I couldn’t care less about Allred’s legal case. What interests me is that a rich person trying to buy the Governor’s seat, and campaigning for tougher sanctions on illegal immigrants, appears to be a lying hypocrite. A cheap one. A cheap, lying, hypocritical rich person. My favorite.
There’s probably no value in this whatsoever, but I like Levin. Sue me. Allred is an ambulance-chaser. Whether-or-not she occasionally catches one is immaterial.
Well, the day has almost ended. Has Ms. Allred shown the world the letter that she claims the SSA sent to Ms. Whitman? She promised she would produce it by the end of today.

And I just want to say that I failed to get into Harvard because of some bad egg salad I had shortly before I took my SATs.
