Watching Jansing & Co., I notice Richard Lui’s tic again. He has a “newsy talk” problem. The tease for a “serial killer on the highways” story went like this: “On roads you may have traveled at Christmas time, or even over the Labor Day holidays.” That’s just random words thrown together to turn the word “roads” into a dramatic-sounding “it could’ve been you” sentence with the word “roads” in it. “On roads you may have driven to the gas station on, or even to take your dog to the vet.” It’s right up there with happy-talk transitions on my list of Useless Cable News Time Fillers.
The big Labor/Ed Schultz rally this weekend was a bit of a dud. I did see some crazy signs though so apparently all lefties who support unions are communists who hate Jews.
Seriously though, can’t those people pick up after themselves? They left the place a mess. Of course, it prolly wasn’t written into their labor contracts to pick up their own trash, so how would they know they were supposed to do it anyway? Besides, they had buses to catch to get back to where they came from.
I couldn’t possibly care less how many people were at each rally, but calling this one “a bit of a dud” is not realistic. There were plenty of people at both rallies.
It was a dud compared to what Ed The Arsonist promised. He said he’d get 300K people. With the help of 400 organizations busing people in, he didn’t get enough folks to fill a baseball stadium.
And where’s all the outrage from the left about all the batshiite crazy signs out there? Crazy lefty signs equals silence from the same media who labels hundreds of thousands of people “racist” because of 4.5 signs at some tea party rally in Topeka.
I’m not playing the “victim card”, I pointing out the extreme hypocrisy from the corrupt media. They’re the ones who chose to focus on a handful signs and label hundreds of thousands of people “racist” because of it. I’m just leaning forward, if you know what I mean.
BTW, have you seen the the ad picture of Olbermann with the new “leaning forward” tag? He’s sitting in a chair…leaning backward. You can’t make this stuff up. You really can’t.
I’m prolly gonna find a way to mention “leaning forward” in every thing I post on here from now on. It’s just so darn catchy. Bruce Springsteen should write a song about it.
^ Let me know when we’re through the “in the bag for Obama” round. Hopefully it’ll be done before my bike ride is over. There would be a “leaning forward” joke in there if I wasn’t on a recumbent..
I love it when liberal ”elites” try to write a script for ”normal” people. Meg Whitman’s maid, that is. ”We are human beings. Does not blood..run through our veins..”

I think that’s what Greta’s point was. As a lawyer, Allred put her client in a very dangerous situation. She could be deported, she could be charged with perjury, she could be charged with identity theft for using someone else’s social security number, etc.
They’ll prolly be leaning forward/bending over for Obama until the end of his presidency. I’m hoping that will be in January 2013.
FWIW, FNC was “in the bag” for Cheney and his dumbass sock puppet for the entire run, and still gives Dick the floor whenever he wants it. It mystifies me how you guys manage to miss that little bit of trivia, or why you find a left-leaning cable network that supports a lefty President so offensive. It doesn’t make sense.
Here’s the thing. Some people in the world are idiots. Bush and Palin are two of them. I see no reason not to state the obvious when those people hijack half a political system.
Oh yea, the “Bush is an idiot” nonsense. Yeah, the guy graduated from Yale & received his Masters from Harvard, ran a MLB baseball team, was responsible for getting the Ballpark @ Arlington built, got elected Governor of Texas & POTUS…but he’s an “idiot”.
Bush also flew in plane in the guards – didn’t hear of any crashes he had. I doubt he did flights by autopilot. But Obama can’t figure out how to get through a gate with an umbrella in his hand? Who is the genius here? I second that – exactly what do you do, Joe? Are you the resident genius of ICN?
Ah ya know, sit around spouting off and stuff. It’s fun, you shpuld try it. Wait…you do. Now if you’ll excuse me, this genius has managed to procrastinate his way out of a bike ride, and now needs to get his smartypants to the bank. Tootles.
There’s valid stuff to be said about Bush. There’s certainly valid comment to be made about Sarah Palin and her grasp of the obvious. ‘Idiot’ and ‘stupid’ are the bleats of self-satisfied liberals who then wonder why they keep losing. Keep it up.
I don’t care how book- or plane-smart the little jerk was, he was way too dim to be the leader of the free world. The fact that voters fell for his schtick does not impress me. The fact that my side came up with the abysmal campaigns of Al Gore and John Kerry does not impress me, either. Dumbass didn’t have much competition.
Liberals call every Republican President “dumb”. It’s what they do. It’s simply foolish. It’s part of their elitist mentality. They think they’re leaning forward while the rest of us are leaning backwards or something.
FWIW, I’ve never heard people who actually matter call Bush an “idiot”. It’s just the media/internet types in the peanut gallery.
FWIW, I’ve never heard people who actually matter call Bush an “idiot”.
I don’t claim to “matter”, and I don’t care what y’all think of my opinion of Bush. Nixon was brilliant, Reagan was sharp until he got older, and Bush Sr. was sharp. Bush Jr. is a simple-minded idiot who did irreparable harm to this country; beginning with completely squandering the worldwide goodwill generated towards us after 9/11 on a stupid war in Iraq, and continued with using the ’02 and ’04 elections as an excuse to tag his political opponents as weak on national security and unpatriotic. All of that is unforgivable, and I’ll never back down on it. He’s an idiot.
-and still gives Dick the floor whenever he wants it-
FNC would give any former VP the floor whenever he wants it.
-Squandering the worldwide goodwill-
President Bush (43) was able to garner wide international support – 80 nations cooperating on the war on Terror including 21 that deployed troops. He was able to convince both China and Russia to not use their veto authority on several important UN Security Council resolutions – a feat his successor has so far been unable to achieve even once. Who’s the idiot?
Factually, it has been President Obama who has squandered and caused irreparable harm to America’s interests.
For the record, when I got to the computer this morning there was nothing on Free For All. I tried to start a conversation about actual cable news. Now we’re shouting about Bush vs. Obama. Again. Bored. Time for me to go to work. Tootles.
