CNN Nabs Exclusive Interview with FNC Contractual Contributor Sarah Palin
Politico’s Keach Hagey chronicles how FNC’s under contract contributor Sarah Palin wound up giving an interview that aired on CNN…
Travis was actually at the rally filming a documentary called “Boiling Point: Inside the Tea Party Movement,” that’s airing on Oct. 30th. He interviewed the former governor while she signed autographs at a rope line, and though she’s engaged and enthusiastically delivering her talking points, the exchange has the feel of a buttonholing. There’s no CNN logo on his mic, and it’s not entirely clear Palin – who recently advised Christine O’Donnell to “speak through Fox News” — realizes who she’s talking to.
Probably true. But you gotta figure the folks at FNC are chafing a bit that Palin did an interview that wound up on CNN…

Finally. I mentioned this when CNN teased it about 20 minutes before it aired, and nobody seemed to care.

No one cared when they had Beck, either. Hmm.

This appeared during Brooke Baldwin’s show. I’ve never heard of her, which tells you the sad state CNN is in. She does a perfectly serviceable news hour; a nice alternative to Cavuto and Ratigan’s bleatings. I really need to try CNN more often..

I think Brooke Baldwin was Rick Sanchez’s sub so you may be seeing more of her now. I like her; she reminds me a bit of Chris Jansing.

On the interview; it would be nice if she had said something even remotely newsworthy.
Palin and these other ‘we aren’t speaking to the MSM because they’re biased’ types have an agenda other than not making verbal gaffes on air. I think they realised that by saying they aren’t talking to the MSM the MSM will go crazy trying to get them to talk, to say anything at all, so they will have a exclusive. Thus when they do speak; even to give banal talking points, as Palin does here, it gets a breathless ‘breaking news’ reaction.
This is what you have with this exclusive interview’.

“Lower taxes smaller government media bad Obama/Pelosi/Reid military constitution elites.” The woman can’t put together a coherent sentence to save her life, and has no intention of learning how. This idiot is going to run for President, and a country that thinks Larry The Cable Guy is good entertainment is going to nominate her. It’s embarrassing.

The news here is that she wasn’t given softball questions and she didn’t screw up any answers. She did spew out mostly talking points, yes, but you have to give the guy some credit; he didn’t exactly give her Sean Hannity-type softball questions she is used to from FNC.

erljr: I have no problem with either the question or the ‘answers’. The point is the reason it gets on TV is because she said she wouldn’t talk to the MSM.
If Newt Gingrich or Mike Huckabee or Mitt Romney; men who haven’t seen a microphone they didn’t like; does an interview it doesn’t get air time unless they say something outrageous; which they often do; to get air time.
