Joe Johns joins Brooke Baldwin at 4pm ET…

Brooke Baldwin tweeted the following a while ago…

Starting today, @JoeJohnsCNN will join me M-F at 4p. He has nearly 3 decades of DC experience (not to mention he says “dude”). We’re lucky.

Update and Correction: Baldwin’s Tweet wasn’t clear enough for me and I misread it. Johns is just doing guest segment appearances.

That’s a bit odd. Joe Johns is a good guy, no doubt…but a Brooke/Joe combo seems quite “out there”. Not sure what they’re thinking with this pairing.

I wish CNN would get Velshi out from 1-3 so that Brooke can take that. She would be good competition vs. Megyn Kelly. John Roberts and Kyra can finally move in together in Atlanta and he can get the 3-5 slot. Unlike Rick Sanchez he is a real journalist. As for AM, it needs more than a graphic makeover.
