HOT: Bristol Palin’s clever retort to being named Olbermann’s “worst person”. Must really suck for someone who thinks he’s smarter than everyone else to be mentally bodyslammed by someone he thinks is a moron.
NOT: Media worship of Jimmie Johnson in Las Vegas …. someone needs to beat this guy next year or I will kirk out.
HOT: Bristol Palin neuters Keith Olbermann… he so richly deserved to be smacked down, didn’t think a Palin could do it though. Bristol Palin is proving to be far more intelligent and much classier than her mother.
Hot-Bristol Palin kicking KO’s butt in a clever adult response to his WPITW segment.
NOT-KO getting into a feud with a 20yr young woman..I mean REALLY ?….KO already has a creepy background as a stalker of sorts of women he’s involved with directly or indirectly ..so showing this much attention to a woman old enough to be his daughter is unsettling in many ways.
Okay…I liked Bristol’s response as much as everyone else….but calm down now. You guy’s are acting like her response was Hulk Hogan slamming Andre the Giant circa 1987.
….
And if I haven’t lost you with that reference, one more point…Bristol’s response was just a statement released on her facebook page. I dunno….but I highly doubt she wrote the statement on her own:
“old canard”…”insincere incredulity”?
What 20 y/o talks like that.
Just my opinion.
Few people of any age talk like that but many do write that way, including teenagers. Surprisingly, many teachers still encourage an expanded vocabulary.
I’m willing to believe Bristol had a little help with the wording – whether through a friend or The Google – but I think she knew what point she wanted to get across. It’s not like she did a Wall Street Journal treatise that’s so far removed from anything that’s ever tumbled out of her mouth that no one dares ask her to comment on it..
I don’t think that is a crime if she got help from Google, you use the resources available nothing wrong with that.
And real, it was that good, even better. A 20 year old woman with the last name Palin neutered arguably the most arrogant host on cable news, and with class and respect. Yea it is that good.
HOT: Bristol yadda yadda
NOT: Joe Scarborough on Sarah Palin, she is popular among Republicans Joe, you are just in the minority of your party. Man a lot of people are going to need medical treatment for their Palin-derangement syndrome.
Gee, I understand the disdain of Palin, but really her critics aren’t helping themselves.
Jacky, saying the obvious – that Palin is kind of a PITA without much thought behind it – is not “derangement”. The phrase “calling a spade a spade” comes to mind..
Palin is not a PITA, she is newsworthy to a lot of people. My qualm is that everyone is reporting on every single little itty bitty thing about her and apparently making parading themselves some deep intellectual if they disagree with her. It is derangement, there is only so many ways you can call a spade a spade before it’s overkill. We past that point long ago.
Very true and I should have specified that, but really it is not like she is asking for the certain people to track down every single word she says and move she makes. She may be a celebrity but she isn’t an attention seeker to this degree.
NOT HOT: Joe Scarborough – agrees to headline the launch of a new group dedicated to “restoring civility in politics” all the while writing about and dissing conservative Sarah Palin. In other words – Joe will preach it, but he won’t practice it. Typical MSNBCer – double standard propagandist.
NOT HOT: Parker/Spitzer – claiming she walked off the set because she was pissed off – I have only ever seen her giggle, get her off the air…in fact, get them both off the air.
HOT: SPAlaska comes back in the ratings, after big fall between weeks one and two (probably had something to do with the holiday).
NOT: CNN just can’t get it back together, it is a lost and dying breed.
HOT: FNC dominates with Bret really coming into his own with a great news report at 6pm. I wonder if they will ever air his show on Fox Broadcast in order to compete with the liberals on abccbsnbc.
Am I the only one here who notices that the complaints about dear little Bristol being attacked is in the same way Sarah was defended for attacks on her? So, what do you people want? For nobody in the Palin family to ever be attacked for anything they do? That’s rich.
By the way, we didn’t see any outrage like this when Laura Ingraham attacked Meghan McCain as “plus-sized” and mocked her voice… all because she went on Maddow’s show. Typical far-right hypocrisy.
KO already has a creepy background as a stalker of sorts of women he’s involved with directly or indirectly
According to who? Johnny dollar?
HOT: SPAlaska comes back in the ratings, after big fall between weeks one and two (probably had something to do with the holiday).
Yes, of course. There must have been an excuse for her ratings being down… there’s always an excuse for Sarah Palin underachieving in something, isn’t there? That only makes her feel better because we all know she’s a moron in reality.
I wonder if they will ever air his show on Fox Broadcast in order to compete with the liberals on abccbsnbc.
Not a chance, because Fox knows that it would get trounced in the ratings by a real Sunday show like Meet the Press, as every other Sunday news show has to deal with every week.
Chris Wallace just can’t get it back together, he is a lost and dying breed.
Hey, idiot, you would have seen ME go after Laura Ingraham for her idiotic comments, if you were actually paying attention to anyone who doesn’t fall-in-line with you. And I wasn’t the only one.
No one said a word about ‘Dear little Bristol’, they just pointed-out that she smacked-down your hero. A ‘hero’ who’s intelligence and humanity no doubt matches your own.
Seriously ProgLib? That is the same BS you pump out everytime you post here. No one said anything about not attacking the Palins, we are talking about how Keith Olbermann arrogantly attacked Bristol for her ad and she showed him up with twice the class he will ever have.
Also if you didn’t notice the ratings for Sarah Palin’s show DID jump in the ratings in the third week compared to the second, and you’re gonna jump on tina for giving a possible explanation? Wow, very classy. Been taking lessons from Olbermann huh?
Apparently people you disagree with can do no right in your eyes and people you do agree with can do no wrong. You know what that makes you? A narrow minded partisan ignoramus.
Special Report is an excellent newscast. The roundtable at the end is mostly rightwing hoo-ha, but the news portion is very well done. Also..cool name. Whoever thought of using a “Breaking News” moniker as a regular show name was a genius.
NOT: Another day, another blast of “rich people hire more employees if you don’t let their tax cuts expire.” This is an incessant drum beat from the guests and anchors. It’s crap. Millionaires don’t change their hiring practices based on a slight uptick in their tax rate. I support extending the cuts for everyone for a couple more years, but this rationale for it has no basis in fact.
Au contraire, monsieur. I am resisting hiring right now precisely because I don’t know what the bottom line is going to be over the next couple of years. Competing with overseas industry requires an investment out of my pocket and I’ll be damned if I take any more risk than I already have to. Not only not hiring, it means I’m not doing the extra business buying, either. And this, in turn, means somebody else is not hiring and buying.
That’s a decision based on not knowing what your tax rate will be. If, A. you’re a millionaire, and, B. you pay a little more tax next year and refrain from hiring someone because of it, I believe you will be in the minority.
Regardless of your specific situation, there is little evidence that rich people (above a million) hire and fire based on small variations in their tax rate. It’s a company-wide ‘fact’ that FNC promotes relentlessly as if it “goes without saying”. It’s simply not true. It may be so for folks with less money running a small business – which is one reason why I support making some of the Bush cuts permanent – but Fox anchors like Megyn, Julie Banderas and Greg Jarret routinely group all income levels together, then claim that letting the cuts expire will effect hiring by all of them.
They’re not even supposed to express opinion, and their expressing it untruthfully. Beginning with the definition of “rich”. Only an idiot considers 250 Grand “rich”, yet Fox acts as if Dems are referring to that – as well as a million – when discussing “tax cuts for the rich”. It’s right-wing propaganda from corporatists who object to all income tax.
At what point in the last three weeks did the Democrats finally decide to compromise up to one million? You’re just flat wrong about them not describing $250,000 as ‘rich’. They finally figured-out that no one was buying it, so they changed their position. They’d damn well broom the ‘tax cuts’ from 250-up if they could get away with it.
All through Obama’s campaign he talked about not raising taxes on anyone ‘under $250,000′. Don’t tell me that they don’t view it as ‘rich’.
Am I the only one here who notices that the complaints about dear little Bristol being attacked is in the same way Sarah was defended for attacks on her?
Um, what? Bristol is being defended because Olbermann’s attack was (a) pointless, (b) weeks late, and (c) manufactured outrage for foolish reasons. The last point (c) is most important and best summed up with a question: “If it’s wrong for someone who’s made a mistake to talk about their experience as a warning for others, does the same go for smokers warning non-smokers, gang members warning potential gang members, and drug addicts warning children?” Olbermann’s attack was absurd to say the least.
So, what do you people want? For nobody in the Palin family to ever be attacked for anything they do? That’s rich.
Let them be “attacked” (or more maturely if that’s possible, “criticized”) for more legitimate reasons.
By the way, we didn’t see any outrage like this when Laura Ingraham attacked Meghan McCain as “plus-sized” and mocked her voice… all because she went on Maddow’s show. Typical far-right hypocrisy.
Which apparently was wrong, but attacking Ms. Palin is alright? Is this typical Prog hypocrisy?
KO already has a creepy background as a stalker of sorts of women he’s involved with directly or indirectly
According to who? Johnny dollar?
Nope… Rebecca Lobo. According to reports after a relationship with Mr. Olbermann, Ms. Lobo had to threaten a restraining order to keep him away.
Yes, of course. There must have been an excuse for her ratings being down… there’s always an excuse for Sarah Palin underachieving in something, isn’t there? That only makes her feel better because we all know she’s a moron in reality.
It’s sad that you’re so angry at Palin for being Palin, that you’ll deny reality and logic. Palin’s show premiered big (as many hyped shows do), fell in the second week as a sophomore show and airing at the same time as another large event, but gained back much of that audience in the third week. Your hatred and irrationality are showing.
Not a chance, because Fox knows that it would get trounced in the ratings by a real Sunday show like Meet the Press, as every other Sunday news show has to deal with every week.
Although, if you add together the total ratings of FOX News Sunday (the original airing, and the later airing on FNC), the show does quite well. But nobody was really talking about FNS, so it’s all moot.
Chris Wallace just can’t get it back together, he is a lost and dying breed.
Yes, all Sunday morning shows seem to be in somewhat of a decline from their historical peaks.
All in all, Prog… you appear angrier and less rational than usual. What’s got you down this Holiday Season? Worried about getting that lump of coal? Poor fella.
Over 250 and “rich” are not the same thing. I can’t verify that no Dems have screwed up the language, but impartial anchors certainly shouldn’t. Which has nothing to do with the fact that they keep promoting a ‘fact’ about millionaires that has no support in reality.

It would suck for him if he was capable of the reflection required to recognize it. He’ll just keep talking ill-conceived smack, like he always does.
