Hey Joe; Bristol Palin is going to write a memoir! Don’t know what it’s going to say or who will actually write it for her but supposedly it’s 304 pages long.
If Justin Bieber can release a memoir I’m not surprised that Bristol Palin will. Apparently her speaking fee is 17 grand. I guess that’s what happens when you’re on Dancing with the Stars. There is something wrong about that.
There is definitely wrong with a girl who is ~ 20 years old writing a “memoir”, presumably of her vast life experiences. But whoever paid her to do so is even more at fault.
The only “book” Bristol needs to be in is Playboy. Not that I think she looks good or anything.. I just like the idea of her representing the family values crowd with a spread.
Yeah, I have to say, given everything that happened today in the TV Newsiverse, talking about Bristol Palin’s publishing plans reveals that the posters suffer from the same Palin Derangement Syndrome plaguing many in the press.
Bristol’s a smart woman with a bit of a story to tell. She can write it herself, and possibly provide a little insight into how tough it is to be a young mother, emphasizing that one simple precaution could have prevented it.
If Meghan McCain can write a book, I don’t see what the big deal about Bristol doing it is.
Josh – Yeah, I caught that interview. Luckily I wasn’t eating at the time…..the bruises on the face were enough evidence for me to prove that they had been beaten up.
For any of the Morning Joe viewers – does anyone else notice that they’ve been playing re-runs during the 8am hour from one of their 6am blocks? What is that about?
And what was up with the hype surrounding Piers Morgan – the guy had a great guest line-up out of the gate but the show is worse than Larry King.

I first noticed a few weeks ago (don’t watch much; too early, and..Mika). They rerun the 6am intro that establishes the morning’s topics. It’s a way to catch up late viewers, then go back live into those topics.
Current TV was never presented as a “liberal channel”. Its focus was high tech and young, with an emphasis on viewer-generated content. Can’t tell ya if they stuck with that.
Oops, I followed Terance to the wrong thread discussing Current TV.
In other news: Brooke Baldwin’s “glance to the side” tic has disappeared. I watched the whole two hours yesterday, and she only did it during one segment..like she “forgot” for a few minutes. Today..straight at the camera. Hmm..
^Almost none of these higher tier digital channels stick to what it says in their broadcast licence for long. After the first 6 months to a year it’s all cheap reality shows and TV/movie reruns.
But Current TV is definitely liberal, just not overtly but more in the sense that it’s appealing to culturally-aware yuppies.
And since Al Gore is the Chairman, it isn’t conservative. Most programming outside of the cable news universe isn’t classified by political leaning, but my guess is Current TV begins to have more of a point of view with Olbermann as Chief News Officer, which is a horrible title. Couldn’t they think of something less cheesy?
Busted. He DID raise taxes, and if anyone, I should have known one of them. We make our own cigarettes in order to avoid the rather substantial increase on cigs.
You’re right. The correct answer would have been “except on that thing that Michelle thinks I haven’t touched in a year, and I’m totally gonna bring it up now so my Super Bowl can suck really bad when she starts bugging me about it..”
Seriously..it’s technically a lie, but I think when most people think of “higher taxes”, they mean income tax. I didn’t think about the cigarette tax until you mentioned it, and I doubt he did, either.
The problem with the Fox News mantra about “Obama is a huge tax raiser” is that it’s not true. It’s right up there with “the stimulus cost jobs and didn’t help the auto industry”.
So, Matthews said tonight that Palin was “cuckoo” – zero points for originality there Chris – and that Newt Gingrich was a “mortal threat to our civilization.” Yeah, a mortal threat. The East German judge gives that a perfect score.
I’m thinking that his chances of moderating another Republican Presidential debate are getting smaller each day.
Talking about the Mexican Border on Greta, and it occurs to me that it’s like an intersection with a stop-sign. A certain number of people have to die before they’ll install a red-light. Except that no one of any significance is paying attention, and it’s becoming a matter of ‘you ask for it by being there’. Somewhat depressing.
The growing schism between “establishment Republicans” and Tea Party Sharia Law-fearing wingnuts is a legitimate story, but Matthews handled it very poorly.
Now that I think about it, we do pay less taxes now than when Obama took office. We don’t pay cigarette taxes anymore. As long as the carton-price was around $30, the smoker was okay with paying it. Now that it’s $40-or-so, we buy the makings online, and no longer pay even the base-tax from before the increase. This is the thing that liberals refuse to understand, when they insist that raising taxes will solve whatever problem they’ve created. Behavior changes, and you can’t just add up the revenues based on a static analysis.
It’s not blah blah, it’s a major conservative voice on a major conservative outlet making shyte up and screwing with his listeners. The man is delusional. Fire him.

I can’t await for the book tour.

“Newsiverse”. Sweet.

Is that Chuck Roberts on CNN for Ali Velshi? Didn’t he retire a while back?
February 8, 2011 at 12:23 pm
Meghan McCain wrote the book but she didn’t sell that many. Bristol will probably sell more.
Now back to cable news…
Did anyone see the John Roberts interview with Olaf Wiig and Gerg Palkot. I was trying to eat when the zoomed-in shots of the wounds came on screen.
February 8, 2011 at 12:30 pm
Just finished watching CNNI’s “World One” on dvr from yesterday and this morning. Where is Zain Verjee all the sudden?
Btw, is it me or does the Parker Spitzer promo have porno music?
February 8, 2011 at 12:37 pm
They got the music from Spitzer’s personal collection.

From glancing at the Current TV guide on my stb it doesn’t seem to have much if any of the aforementioned “pods.”
Looks to be some docs and other stuff such as: illegal to be g*y, worlds biggest gangs, Miami swat, kill it-cook it-eat it.
Hmmm. I thought Current was a liberal channel? Isn’t killing your own food and thinking being g*y is illegal a Palin/Tea Party staple? Just wondering!

They replaced the pods with longer programming.

”The RoboStir sells for $40 in Europe!”
Well, what kind of chumps are they over there?

Well, what kind of chumps are they over there?
Commies.
February 8, 2011 at 3:54 pm
I know people think Glenn Beck is insane, trying to link the “far left” to these insurgents in Egypt. Fine.
So what on earth is Code Pink doing over there?
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2670621/posts
I know Glenn sounds outrageous at times, but really, what do any of these people have to do with the uprising in Egypt?
February 8, 2011 at 3:56 pm
Commies who are unfamiliar with the ”19.95” price-cap.
February 8, 2011 at 3:58 pm
Missy, I was going to read your Freeper link, then I remembered it’s 2011 and nobody gives a damn what Code Pink is doing..
February 8, 2011 at 4:06 pm
^I don’t know joe, a lot of those Egyptian protesters were wearing pink headgear.
Perhaps Beck is on to something and this is a giant Code Pink conspiracy to take over Egypt for the far left.
BTW, I hear pink hijabs are all the rage in San Francisco.
February 8, 2011 at 4:07 pm
– pink hijabs –
Yeah, but not for what you’d think..

February 8, 2011 at 4:43 pm
^ That proves it. He’s obviously a Muslim Communist tax-raising socialist terrorist. I KNEW it..
February 8, 2011 at 4:45 pm
It means he lied. Since we’re so fond of throwing that word around.
February 8, 2011 at 4:51 pm

Really, a mortal threat to western civilization?

Sharron Angle & Christine O’Donnell are opening up PAC’s for 2012. The RNC must be overjoyed.
