CNBC TO RETURN AS OFFICIAL BROADCAST PARTNER FOR INTERNATIONAL CTIA WIRELESS 2011®

Englewood Cliffs, NJ, March 3, 2011 – CNBC, First in Business Worldwide, will serve as the “Official Broadcast Partner” at the upcoming International CTIA WIRELESS 2011® trade show and conference for the second year in a row. Taking place March 22-24 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, the network will broadcast live from the exhibition floor on the first two days of the conference, covering all of the breaking news and speaking exclusively with the hottest companies in the space.

“CTIA is the main event for cutting-edge technologies of the wireless world,” said Nikhil Deogun, Managing Editor, CNBC Business News. “We look forward to returning to this pre-eminent show and providing our viewers with a close-up look at the high-stakes battle for consumer loyalty in this $1 trillion market.”

Mad Money’s Jim Cramer, Power Lunch’s Michelle Caruso-Cabrera and CNBC Technology Correspondent Jon Fortt will be broadcasting live from Orlando. On Tuesday, March 22, Jim Cramer will host a special edition of Mad Money w/Jim Cramer (6 & 11 pm ET). Earlier in the day, Cramer will serve as moderator for CTIA’s “Carrier CEO Keynote Roundtable” featuring Ralph de la Vega, President & CEO, AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets; Dan Hesse, Chief Executive Officer, Sprint Nextel Corporation; Phillip Humm, CEO & President, T-Mobile USA; and Dan Mead, President & CEO, Verizon Wireless. CNBC.com will be live streaming the discussion at ctia.cnbc.com.

Michelle Caruso-Cabrera will host Power Lunch (1-2 pm ET) from Orlando on Wednesday, March 23, focusing on the rapid growth happening throughout the industry and taking a close look at some of the biggest product debuts. On Thursday, March 24, Caruso-Cabrera will moderate a keynote panel featuring Kenneth Roth, Executive Director, Human Rights Watch; John Stanton, Chairman of the Board, Trilogy International Partners; and Biz Stone, Co-Founder, Twitter. The panel will focus on the ways mobile technology impacts policy and improves lives, including a discussion of recent global political events and the ways wireless has helped organize and mobilize for change.

Throughout the event, Jon Fortt will be providing updates for CNBC, CNBC Europe, CNBC Asia and blogging on CNBC.com. Fortt will also serve as host at the CTIA Emerging Technology Awards ceremony which takes place on March 23 and honors the most innovative wireless products and services in the areas of consumer, enterprise and network technology.

CNBC will be broadcasting from a multi-faceted, interactive show floor exhibition. In addition to being a broadcast center, CNBC’s booth will also highlight the wide variety of CNBC Mobile products including: CNBC’s Real-Time iPad & iPhone Apps; CNBC PRO, the new premium, integrated desktop/mobile service to provide real-time global market data and live access to CNBC programming; CNBC Mobile Web and CNBC’s Real-Time Android App.
