I shan’t be up for this little shindig, but..Chris Jansing! Live in London!

On the BBC’s continuous coverage, all Americans should be happy about the royal wedding and willing to watch the highlights later today.
If you want other news, you can watch Al Jazeera. The tornadoes story was the first story on their bulletins.
I’m probably the only supporter of the monarchy on this blog and I’m planning to sleep through this. Have a good night.

up at 5 a.m. (est) for a quick 3 mile run on the treadmill. Not watching by choice, it is the only thing on….may fall asleep while running. DVR is the way to go. This thing could be watched un under and hour if you took out all the waiting for people to show up.

Alas, I have been up all night watching this wedding. It was beautiful in every way, perfect but — too much to watch all of it because it got kinda boring. I tried to watch Fox but Shepard Smith is just too much for me. Why Fox sent him I don’t know..I am surprised he didn’t show his bear falling out of tree video. He just tries too hard to be funny and he’s not. Wish now I had waited and just watched recap by talking heads.
Twice I have heard Shepard Smith mention “when he got married”? Huh? Is this true?

The Royals were on all of the tellys when I got to work this morning, so couldn’t avoid it. But I was shocked (Shocked! I say!) that it was Jenna Lee & Jon Scott doing the play-by-play and talking to Joan Lunden instead of Shep & Martha. Ah, I should’ve known Fox would have a whole other production going on the broadcast net.
C’mon, William Wales, kiss the woman already and be done with this.

There was too much singing, praying and reading for a freaking wedding! I’m surprised they didn’t literally have short intermissions to get a drink of water between every prayer and song. Still a beautiful wedding, but painful to enjoy.

I bought a rugby shirt from a UK vendor and asked whether they were as excited as the American cables seemed to be; response was they seemed to be more concerned with the threat of the large Muslim population spoiling the ceremonies (terrorism)…
Recall the doctor several years ago bombing the airport.

CBS was having serious audio problems and that forced me away never to return.
Also, the damn bells seemed to never stop chiming.

Somebody get that girl a chesseburger..she’s way too thin.

“There was too much singing, praying and reading for a freaking wedding! ”
For a split second, I wondered “who would say such a thing?”. Then I looked at the screen name and it now makes sense – a progresive liberal!

Anyway, the wedding was beautiful!

Kate went on an extreme diet before the wedding. It was similar to Atkins, so I’m sure she’s been eating plenty of cheeseburgers, minus the cheese and bun.
What she needs is a big plate of pasta. She shouldn’t skip her carbs just to lose ten pounds! It isn’t healthy!

And now I’m off to McDonalds because I want a cheeseburger.

Daughters of Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew: Apparently they thought they were going to a Halloween party instead of to a wedding:

Atkins permits cheese on the hamburger, one of the nice points of the diet. But you’re right about the ‘no bun’.

It, it looks like a beige, lidded toilet-seat with snakes. Seriously.

The “Lib” part of my name doesn’t stand for liberal. What does any of that have to do with not liking praying, reading and singing? Have you never seen a progressive sing, read or pray?
April 29, 2011 at 3:53 pm
By the way, I only said there was too much singing, reading and praying for a wedding. I’m not against it, altogether.

I saw pictures online late this afternoon. Kate looked stunning. Her dress was very Grace Kelly-ish, with a more modern neckline. William’s smile always looks forced. I thought the US coverage was way over-the-top, but I wish them well.

-Wills’ smile always looks forced-
Despite what we say, few guys actually enjoy the ceremony part of their own wedding.

was up and about but the dentist appointment was today of all days; so I caught the guests arriving and focused on the fabulous autos that appeared; the new Rolls and sleek English autos caught my eye before retiring to make that dental appointment; lucked out that the Shuttle take off was delayed so at least will be able to see that one; hope no do over for the Prince and his wife.

I loved your “toilet seat w/snakes” description of the hat. But this is worse – she also had a hideous makeup job!
Hopefully she’s trying out for an Elvira-type late night movie hostess job. It would be a shame to waste that look on anything else.

ACK!! Was it done with a Sharpie Pen?

I can’t believe how bald he is. That’s just wrong.

The cruise in his dad’s vintage Aston Martin was pretty cool.

He is balding!
I’m guessing he’s going to be able to live with this one minor setback..
