    HOT – Debt debate.

    NOT – Debt debate.

^ What are you talking about? Is there something going on in Washington I should know about?
    ;)

  3. Hot: Wake me when sanity returns. Mine or anyone else’s.

Some Congressguy was on and accurately and succinctly described this debacle – that it’s not a debt LIMIT crisis, but a debt /spending crisis. We know that, or course, but I’m sure the majority of Americans do not.

They are still persuaded that 0bama’s “balanced” approach will work best. But when asked what on earth that might mean, they do not know.

  5. HOT: NHRA Drag Racing. My first one since my uncle took me when I was 10. You get super close while the mechanics tear down the motors between rounds, the drivers hang out and talk to you, and the mechanics give little kids fan belts and burnt pistons. By far the friendliest paddock I’ve ever been in (I’ve been in a lot). Finals Sunday, 11pm est, ESPN2. Be there!

Now back to your regularly scheduled wretched debt ceiling bullhockey.

Not: David Gregory. His interview with David Plouffe was among the worst interviews ever. Plouffe didn’t really answer a single question directly, stuck to stupid talking points and Gregory never challenged him or followed up. Gregory basically asked a question then sat there like a bump on a log. Waste of time. I guess Gregory was saving his energy for his upcoming debate with John Thune.

  7. Gregory does that with everyone. Tim Russert, he is not.

  8. You can say that again. Russet had it in his blood. Gregory doesn’t.

  9. test

  10. Damn it, I wasn’t expecting a test.

  11. Fritz getting testy again?
