I’ve actually been flipping around to the other channels today to see what their comments would be on the GOP win in Weiner’s old district. While I haven’t seen every single minute of CNN or MSNBC, it seemed like both had little to say, especially during the earlier part of the day. CNN seemingly thought Casey Anthony’s parents talking to Dr. Phil had higher priority than did this upheavel of the democrat seat, and other stories seemed to have more significance, based on when they aired, than did this NY special election.
Hopefully I’m wrong, but that’s what I observed, anyway.
To my knowledge, most of the main stream newspapers reported the story as did both CNN and Fox. I don’t know for sure if all of the broadcast news outfits reported it but I assume they at least mentioned it. The fair and balanced story is a simple one: two congressional seats were up for a vote yesterday, both went Repub, and one was an upset while the other was not. Neither election changes the balance of power so I don’t expect anything more than a simple report.
It was on at the end of Rachel Maddow last night when the results came in. It was on First Look, Way Too Early, and Morning Joe. It was on various Dayside MSNBC stuff today. Seriously, creating a reality about “the MSM”, then regurgitating it as The Truth, is lame.
^ and I’m not at all surprised MSNBC covered it well. They can be biased or not, but if such media outlets didn’t adequately cover the election results they’d know damn well that viewers of whatever stripe would start going elsewhere.
I’ve seen plenty of it today, complete with ridiculous spin from both sides, mostly Left. Have also seen Blitzer do a “Just In” with Obama’s new, lower approval-ratings, in the last day-or-so. Fancy that.
Colmes has the same disease many on the right have: Even if “the other guys” are right about something, or innocent of something, they’re such bastards that there’s no way I’m gonna give ‘em an inch.
Glad to hear they DID cover the NYC election results and are going after the Solyndra thing. Again, I only observed limited stories, and I guess when I turned in they were covering other things.

I betting this will be on tonight’s Special Report With Brett Baier’s Grapevine. Cracks me up.

Are you really surprised that the 2 GOP victories yesterday would get little attention from the MSM?

These results don’t mean anything. #AlternateFantasyWorldIChooseToLiveInDontMessWithMe

CNN is going pretty big on Solyndra. I’m sure that’s something else that they are assumed not to be covering.

Paul Begala did a fair “this is the situation” answer. Goes to show that having a bias need not automatically be cause to dismiss the opinion.
Alan Colmes could learn something.

It’s a pretty tall order to make Begala look good, but Colmes is up to the job.

It’s a bad place to live.

Has Colmes ever done a segment where he didn’t, at some point, say “Aww, poor thing”? As an adult, I think I’d get tired of hearing myself say that.

Colmes has an interesting gig: Take their checks, flip ‘em off on the way out the door.

And make liberals look like @ssholes. Everyone wins.
