Well, by gar the 99.934243% of climate scientists advocating sugarless gum for those who chew gum have the same problem Obama has: if only they were better at getting the message across.
Scepticism is a mainstay of true science. It is the obligation of a theory’s proponents to convince others, through reproducible evidence, of its validity.
Golly, I’ve really been enjoying my sabbatical, while checking in on your little conservative backslapping session here at ICN now and then. For a slightly kinder/gentler view of the OWS movement, here’s some text and photos from Grant Petersen, owner of Rivendell Bicycles. It devolves into bikey stuff near the end, followed by the email I sent him about it.
Thanks for posting the Wall Street signs, I’m sure you’ll hear about it from at least one screeching righty. Yay.
I watch enough Fox News opinion to keep up with the madness, and I think they’re making a reactionary mistake treating this movement as “liberal” and “without focus”. Conservatives are out of work, too, and the “lack of focus” stems from the fact that many people don’t know exactly what’s wrong, or exactly how to fix it, but “something isn’t right”.
There’s a sense that the Wall Street guys are paying the government guys, and they’re all living in a separate Upper Strata that has nothing to do with us. So here we are; without representation; facing the growing sense that this isn’t a recession..it’s The Way Things Are Now. As the Springsteen song says, “these jobs are goin’, boy, and they ain’t comin’ back.”
The right is painting these groups as “angry mobs”, but what I see is “scared and alone”. And they’ve finally decided to say something.
Does taking a say or two off really count as a sabatical?
So you think it’s wrong to associate OWS with a political movement, despite their websites being political, the endorcement from left-wing politicians, the appearences by left-wing entertainers, and your own conclusion that “righties” will complain?
You realize that doesn’t make sense, right?
But since you think they’re focused, please tell me how all those folks became 9/11 Truthers. When did it happen for you?

You may now return to you, “I don’t like it when people disagree with me,” foot stomping.
I try not to stir the pot too much in comment sections. If I posted my thoughts about Occupy Wall Street here Joe would probably leave and never come back. I don’t want him to leave.
I save all my angry comments for my own blog or my internet radio show. It might be fun to have Joe on one of these days…
Then again, maybe not. But Joe, whether you realize it or not, we all like you, even us conservative a$$holes.
The OWS movement are at it’s heart a bunch of freeloading kids who want the Government to pick up from their parents and take care of them….plus throw in the 9/11 Truthers and Anti-Semantics that the MSM is ignoring and you have a movement that will wear out it’s welcome very soon.
Many of the kidderouskies are hacked off they can’t file bankruptcy to quash their student loan debt. Wait until they find out kindly Uncle Obama is quietly pushing to allow private debt collectors permission to call their cellphones. Part of Barack’s government deficit reduction planning.
I think he said the “MSM” is ignoring cheap children who won’t pick up (something) from their parents… and they won’t take care of their parents, either…. and the “MSM” is also ignoring those 9/11 Truthers who are opposed to using words that have multiple meanings…
DVR’d The Five today specifically because I wanted to see it without both Beckel & Perino. Just couldn’t stand watching the whole thing, so if it got better I missed it.
I’ve seen it with Juan Williams doing just fine with Beckel gone but Perino there, and the show seems about the same when Perino is gone but Beckel is at the table. I’ve never seen it without Gutfeld so don’t know how that goes, but that programme’s chemistry seems easily disrupted .
Geraldo has had a fabulous dye-job. As a general rule men can’t get away with that, but his stylist is a genius.
Now back to our slap-fight, already in progress.

If Verizon can help Susie, just think of what they could do to sell global warming.

I’ve been skeptical ever since I was warned of the causes of blindness.

Only thing missing from this story is James O’Keefe and a Fox News camera.
