Suzanne Malveaux is on my mind. She does something that to me is so irritating that I can’t watch her show. She leans to the left. Literally. Why can’t the CNN producer tell her to sit up straight.
Which Presidential Candidate Would You Most Like To Have A Beer With? The Beer Goggles Edition.
Does Representative Michelle Bachmann drink Beer? Michelle once attacked her Democrat challenger, stating she would raise taxes on bacon, and beer. Shame on you Tarryl Clark. She probably voted for mandating cervical cancer vaccines for young girls too/ That’s correct Michelle Bachmann is against taxing your bacon
Cain’s wife to appear on FNC Friday. Hmm, wait for the week to play out while watching tape of Hillary on 60 Minutes. Somebody got a professional strategist…
Annnd we have a winner. I tol’ ya, I tol’ ya, I tol’ ya. Three days of being labeled an “opportunist” in a “nuisance suit”, while the candidate insists he didn’t do anything wrong, is bound to wear on a woman. Btw, how does Cain claiming innocence qualify as “not talking about it as a term of the settlement”? The woman has a strong case to make that Cain already broke the agreement. Here we go..
I’m finding it harder and harder to believe that this *ISN’T* a coordinated attack. After all, this story dropped very convieniently into the first week since August that Obama hasn’t spent on the road headlining “Pass This Bill” rallies. Very kind of Obama to drop out of the limelight and make sure there’s as much press attention on Herman’s Cain as is maximally possible.
I find it hard to believe you think one single liberal in this country is worried about Herman Cain getting the nomination. Nope. Knocking Cain off so Romney or Perry has a shot is political suicide. This came from the right, possibly from Karl Rove.
The knee-jerk conservative faux-paranoiac reaction on this is slightly embarrassing. Herman Cain has a long-shot chance at the nomination, but no real chance at the presidency. That makes him an infinitely greater threat to ‘us’ than ‘them’. Therefor, if a partisan is behind this, I’d say it’s more likely to be a person on the Right. The Left would have no interest in dumping this until the man had an actual shot at winning the presidency.
Now, maybe I’m wrong, and liberals just can’t help but want to destroy him this instant, because they’re so gosh darned evil. Anything’s possible. But this childlike insistence that that must be the case, without any evidence beyond imagination, is becoming tiresome in the extreme.
…Cain has a long-shot chance at the nomination, but no real chance at the presidency.
Given his inexperience of leadership and astonishing lack of casting important votes as a senator, we thought pretty much the same about our current president during the primary race.
The only reason the left would push a story like this is because they absolutely hate when minorities don’t vote their way. A Black Conservative is seen as a traitor, and a number of folks on the left have been quoted saying as such.
However, I think you make an important point out the timing of this. It will certainly help Romney (I think Perry is done as well), but not Obama. So what would the motivation be (other than mentioned above) to do it NOW, and not later?
I don’t necessarily think this will sink Cain’s campaign… but then again, I didn’t think it was going to stay afloat much longer anyway.
This is one of those cases where I would love for the source to be known, at least generally, if only to see it rubbed in the face of every tweeting Ann Coulter-wannabee who insisted that it was all some left-wing setup. We are very quickly turning ourselves into the conservative equivalent of libs who scream “racism”. It’s not an attractive quality.
Duh, how come none of us thought of this. It may not have come from a political operative at all. It might just be a member of the board who thinks Cain is a d-bag, and got sick of his “lovable old guy” routine. The origins of this event are possibly much simpler than we thought
“It might just be a member of the board who thinks Cain is a d-bag, and got sick of his “lovable old guy” routine.”
You know, not everyone is a d-bag. Maybe his “lovable old guy routine” isn’t a routine but actually him. I’ve yet to hear anyone else suggest otherwise. When you’ve been involved in as many business ventures as he has, you’re sure to piss some people off. I think it’s telling that there aren’t a ton of people out there running to the media to tell their “I hate Herman Cain” stories.
If one jackass with a grudge caused this non-story to be headline news for the last few days, that’s sad.
It’ll be an interesting week. By Friday, I predict we’ll have a detailed account of what at least one woman claims, plus a picture of how “intelligent and serious” (lawyer’s words) she is. Then we’ll see if Mrs. Cain makes her appearance, and if that comes off as sympathetic to Mr. Cain, or insulting to her. The nail in the coffin for Gary Hart was when his clearly distraught wife was sent out to “defend” him. It was awful.

The entire program, a thing of pure beauty. Alyona nails down, basically, everything that’s wrong with the cable nets.
Even though I like Chuck Todd, gotta agree that The Daily Rundown is an insider show.

I thought we were here because we like to pretend we are insiders. Except for Joe who is the real deal.

This is a fascinating exchange. I rarely agree with TV’s Andy Levy, but he’s fearlessly fair. He does not care what either side thinks of him.
