Blogus Disruptus…

If you haven’t seen my Twitter feed tonight, my DSL modem went south and I’m now waiting on a replacement from Verizon. It won’t get here before Tuesday night at the earliest. No way am I using my tablet to post blog stuff…it’s just too painful. So the blog will be hibernating until I’m back up again.

Update: The blog may not be back up until Friday…

  1. Ah c’mon, Spud..embrace the tablet.

  2. Let’s get ready to rumble!

  3. Since you have Verizon maybe you also have a Droid. If so you can fairly easily tether your laptop to it. There’s an ap for that.

  4. He has an iPhone. I don’t think there’s a hot spot on those.

  5. From what I’ve heard, if there’s a hot spot the iPhone is farthest from. Actually, my GF tethers off her iPhone all the time. Might depend on model, I suppose.

  6. @joeremi: There is, it costs $20/month extra and, if you have unlimited data, you have to give that up to use it.

  7. Thanks, but no thanks.

  8. If you hook the MagicJack to your router, you can fry an egg.

  9. Geez, Andy, that’s lame. My Sprint Droid phone runs my laptop with unlimited data.

  10. Ok geeks, my ancient telly has done blowed up. What do I get with 500 bucks? My knowledge of HD/plasma/LCD is bupkus.

  11. Okay, has my browser gone nuts, or is there a DIY-clip up top?

  12. Your browser seems to have gone the way of Spud’s DSL and my TV. Set the clocks back one hour and…BOOM.

  13. It’s gone, now. Every time Spud posts a clip, the one on the front-page isn’t the one he posted. Have to click-in to see it. Weird weirdness.

  14. lonestar77 Says:

Go with LCD. LED is a little more expensive but unneeded and actually performs worse in rooms with sunlight. You can get some pretty decent TV’s for $500 now. I think Samsung & LG are the way to go. Sony is good but overpriced.

I have a 1080P in my living room & 740p in my bedroom and I can’t tell the difference between the two.

  15. Thanks, LS..I had a feeling you’d be the go-to geek for this. What is 1080 and 740?

  16. I don’t have unlimited data so all these scenarios are non starters

  17. If you don’t have a room with glare problems, get a plasma. Best picture for the buck. If glare is bad, LED’s have come down in price. I bought a 37″ LED 1080p LG for less than $500.

  18. lonestar77 Says:

Resolution. 1080 is better picture quality than 720 but I don’t think you can tell much of a difference.

  19. lonestar77 Says:

Larry is correct about plasma. They are super cheap and good picture quality assuming your room is fairly dark. Outside lights as well as indoor lighting will create a glare on a plasma. You won’t have that problem with LCD’s.

  20. 1080 and 720 are measures of resolution of how man pixel units can be displayed on a scan line. Kind of like beads on a string on an Indian belt. The more, the more detailed the picture — on the TV or on the belt. Progressive indicates every line is scanned as oppose to interlaced of evey other.

  21. I bought my first HD TV in 2001. $3500 for a 34″ picture. I got my wish this year when the damn thing finally broke. Or at last I told everyone it broke.

  22. 1. how did my DSL thread turn into an HDTV thread?
    2. You can sure as hell tell a difference between 720p and 1080i and ABC is wrong to be broadcasting in it.
    3. Plasma is cool. I have one. But it is a huge power hog.

  23. Lone is right that most people can’t tell the diff between 1080i and 720p. I’ve had some people tell me they can’t tell the difference of HDTV when compared to the old standard picture. I think they are nuts, but they insist.

  24. The TV sits near a sliding glass door, so me thinks plasma is out. Thanks for the tips..I’m headed to Best Buy shortly. Now back to your DSL thread..or cable news..something..

  25. There is always free wifi at McDonalds, but it is bad form not ot order something.

    McRib is back!

  26. He can where a beret and blog from Starbucks.

  27. Another down-side with plasma is increased viewing angles deteriorate picture brightness rapidly. With my LG LCD I can be off centre 45° and still see the telly crystal clear.

DSL or cable… it’s not as if the cable modems never crash.

  28. Just fixed a customers DSL problem the other day.. AT&T was trying to charge him $85.

Phone and DSL were out and the modem had a blinking red light. He had a wireless phone with 2 extra cradles (no phone lines go into these) and I unplugged the power to the main cordless phone and power cycled the modem and still nothing.

Ran a new line from the outside box and still nothing.

Finally unplugged the power to the extra phone cradles and it started working again.

Btw, he had an old fashioned POTS phone line.

  29. Al, you must have talked to the wrong Radio Shack guys. Plasma excels at viewing angle comparison. But why listen to me:

    http://www.crutchfield.com/S-m8oLDLBJjjo/learn/learningcenter/home/tv_flatpanel.html

  30. Also plasma picture brightness deteriating quickly is one of those myths that go back to the early days of plasma. In fact, many plasma TV vendors now claim 60,000-hour lifetimes (translated: 8 hours of daily viewing for more than 20 years before the screen reaches half of its original brightness). During the 5 years you have your TV before tempted to buy the new 4-D version with smell-o-vision you won’t notice any change.

  31. I have a plasma set at home where my living room has no glare issues and both LCD and LED HD sets at my cabin. The all are great in the environments they live.

  32. I’ve had three or four plasmas over the years and all had better picture quality looking straight-on… a deeper, richer image. But just a little ways off to either side and pffft.

  33. Well my experience differs, but opinions formed from my own anecdotal evidence is something I only guarrentee on political issues. On technical issues I defer to the expert publications. That may not be important in medical journals. Red wine may or may not be good for salt eating mice with cancer.

  34. Tube amplifiers are much better than solid state amplifiers. Their sound with a turntable makes an analog system sound much “warmer” than digital.

How do I know that? Duhno.

  35. Could be that newer plasmas are much better than what I had, or maybe I had crappy ones.

  36. New ones are much improved. Better in the energy consumption area as well. LCDs much better too in the motion blurring, black level issues that were their drawbacks.

I’ve there were a new version of me, I’d buy it.

  37. One of my kids just told me that I’ve only had one plasma and I got rid of it because her sister did something to it.

Maybe Spud has a neighbour with a wireless router near enough for him to borrow a connection. With permission, of course.

  38. Al you must have had some really crappy plasma TVs. Plasma smokes LCD on viewing angles. As for why DSL? Because to get a cable modem would require digging a 1000 foot trench to get it.

  39. I’ve had a cable modem at home for nearly twenty years. Was one of two initial test areas for Time-Warner in the whole country so I was very lucky. On the other side of the coin, I have satellite Internet at my country cabin. A dreadful choice, but better than what I had before, which was nothing. Phone lines so poor, dial-up was not even an option.

  40. Town of 200 nearest me at my cabin got a $500,000 federal grant for wireless radio Internet. Put up a giant tower with great fanfare to provide high speed Internet to this Appalachian area. I’m about three miles away, but turns out that was two miles too far. All that money and I bet no more than 50 people are being served.

  41. ^^ I’m probably confusing “plasma” with some other telly models I’ve had.

  42. I Hate Football. This is the second time I’ve attempted to record 60 Minutes, only to lose the second damn half. Grrrf.

  43. Craig R.”A spear can only kill you once, where lawyer can make you wish you were dead, for months at a time.” Harry Turtledove

That’s what I always say, except that to me it’s the difference between men and women.

  44. For the record: Dynex DX40 L261. No, I have no idea who Dynex is, but I’m sure it’s made in the same Chinese factory as all the “name” TVs. LCD, 1080, 40-inch, 400 bucks. Sold!

  45. ^ I was just going to tell you not to get a Dynex!

Nah, just kidding. I have one about that size at work and it works fine.

  46. Spud’s right, huge difference between 720 and 1080. I got a 720 because, at the time, MSNBC was not in HD and ESPN and FOX Sports only broadcasted in 720. ESPN still only uses 720.

  47. lonestar77 Says:

There’s not a single person in the world who could walk into a house with a single TV and be able to discern if it were a 720 or 1080. There are many other factors than just resolution. I have one of each and they’re both awesome.

  48. savefarris Says:

No, I have no idea who Dynex is,

    Best Buy’s house brand.

  49. My understanding is Dynex is the electronics subsidiary of the Koch brothers vast industrial empire.

  50. So after apparently surviving the worst as of Friday night, and claiming he was “getting back on message”, Herman Cain went back to claiming “baseless allegations” after the book tour – er, debate – Saturday night..practically daring a woman to show up on screen to refute him. 1:30 est today. Nice work, Herb.

  51. Just try to get someone to tell the difference between 1080i and 1080p while drinking a Coke (or is that Pepsi?).

  52. With Gloria Allred in the act now, even most liberals will be rooting for Herb.

  53. Hopefully the 1:30 accuser is pretty and a professor at a liberal college. Ether that or Tonya Harding.

  54. Criminal political ineptitude aside, I’m thinking that this might be the real issue with Mr Cain.

  55. There are a lot of issues with Citizen Cain.

I’m amused though. In 2008, Conservatives demanded we support McCain and Palin because of their experience. Now, they’re demanding we support Herman Cain because he has absolutely no political experience.

  56. I’m not familiar with any significant group “demanding” anything on either occasion, but carry on.

  57. Have we had enough Dr. Conrad Murray coverage yet? Christ.

  58. No way. He killed the King of Pop. World needs to see justice was done.

  59. savefarris Says:

Conservatives demanded we support McCain and Palin because of their experience.

How short our memories are: it was actually Hillary who broached the experience issue. “3 AM phone call” anyone?

  60. ^ My comment at the time was: a) Of the four nominees between the two tickets, only Sarah Palin had executive experience: Mayor of Wasilla, Chairman Alaska Oil & Gas Conservation Commission, and Governor of Alaska. b) It really sucks when are choices for POTUS are among two sitting senators.

  61. The MSNBC logo no longer reads “Lean Forward”, it now says “The Place For Politics 2012″.

And it looks like MSNBC is going to go overboard with election coverage today. I might end up turning on FOX “News” when I get home. Yikes!

  62. Did they have to build the damn DSL modem first?

  63. For some reason cable is always faster to roll a truck.. Seems to me they could’ve sent one in the mail faster. Unless of course its not simply a modem swap out?

  64. bushleaguer Says:

Andy – Yeah, MSNBC is going full tilt today with the political branding. They’re even calling today “Super Tuesday” which was a term that originally was used to describe the big election day in 2008 when a slew of states voted on the same day. Now every voting day is “Super?” Good grief.

  65. bushleaguer Says:

laura – thanks for posting that video. That is the real problem with Mr. Cain…..the sexual harassment thing has turned into a circus and, in a funny way, is diverting attention away from the fact that Herman Cain is a guy who is not ready to run for office. He should have spent the last few years studying up on the issues like Romney did….if he had he would probably win the nomination. The moderator was asking whether or not he supports the Medicare reform plan that the House passed…..and he didn’t know what he was talking about. Not good.

  66. savefarris Says:

Yeah, MSNBC is going full tilt today with the political branding. They’re even calling today “Super Tuesday”

That’s because today in Ohio may be the only “win” they get between now and 2014. Gotta make the most of it because the next 12 months are going to feature a whole lot of leaning backwards.

  67. bushleaguer Says:

Andy/Spud…there is a big difference between 720 and 1080, but it depends on the size of the set you have. If you have a set that is 37″ or less, then you aren’t going to see much of a difference. I’ve been shopping around for a new set for the past few months on and off and I can’t see the difference between the two on a 32″ set in the stores. If you go to larger sets (42″ and above) then you can definitely see the difference.
You’d think that 1080 would be standard on all sets these days but it’s not….there are still plenty of smaller 720p sets and the manufacturers charge at least $100 more for the 1080 upgrade.

  68. imnotblue Says:

    @ farris

And with all the campaigning that Ed has been doing via MSNBC, I’m sure they want to see some sort of return.

  69. Just got home to finish work for the day, MSNBC’s coverage is very nice. I’m loving the music they’re using as well.

    MSNBC’s going all out today.

  70. anything to celebrate a victory, thump their chests, predict Republican doom. Ah, the wonderfulness of us!

  71. Bush: If you watch ESPN, FOX or FOX “News” Channel, there’s no difference because they broadcast only in 720p. I have a 32″ and I might get another one so I can use one for a computer monitor.

  72. I’m starting to like Craig Melvin. Too bad Alex Wagner is destined for that timeslot. I want to see Craig Melvin, Thomas Roberts and Veronica De La Cruz land permanent timeslots (as long as they don’t cancel Chris Jansing or Tamron Hall).

  73. The Left’s version of a Tea Party is an orgy.

  74. Couldn’t you find something in the USA at least? #pitiful

  75. In other words, Larry Kelly thinks everything described in that article is kosher, eh?

Oh, wait. What am I thinking? He’s too busy blaming the left because his toilet is clogged.

  76. imnotblue Says:

    @ Terance

Will you hear that story on any of the networks? Is that the best you could find to attack FNC with? Yeesh.

Perhaps the other networks will cover it, because I don’t image MSNBC dedicating too much time to Eric Holder’s embarassing testimony today.

  77. Pretty good roundup of the view from the Right, for anyone who’s actually interested.

    http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/282544/coming-cain-mutiny-and-other-thoughts-jonah-goldberg

  78. ImNotBlue, it was a broad based ‘attack’ at all the networks and didn’t exclusively single out FNC. But, you already knew that, didn’t ya?

I guess by your omission on the subject at hand you have no problem with the way some women are treated in parts of Israel, eh?

Or am I jumping to conclusions and you were so busy burning rubber ya forgot to weigh in? Do tell.

  79. You give “jumping to conclusions” a bad name. If you are going to fill in for Joe, you better up your game a notch.

  80. That’s actually my job, if you want to check with the union steward.

  81. imnotblue Says:

    @ Terance

    Yeah, that’s what it is… I approve.

Just like you must (following the same logic) murdering border agents, gun running, lying to congress, and having an inept DOJ.

You approve of those things, right? They’re less important, undoubtedly.

  82. Thomas Roberts is an Orioles fan? That alone should earn him a permanent show.

  83. Just like you must (following the same logic) murdering border agents, gun running, lying to congress, and having an inept DOJ.

I have no idea what you’re talking about. But, of course I don’t approve of those things.

Guess you must be talking about this ‘Holder’ character? Never heard of him.

Btw, ImNotBlue — Did you get the email I sent a week or two ago?

  84. That’s actually my job, if you want to check with the union steward.

She’s actually better at it, in a “can’t live with ‘em, can’t live without ‘em” kinda way.

Cain going with Full Denial. Very dangerous..he shouldn’t be talking if he’s not willing to offer some sort of “I have behaved badly at times” mea culpa. He better be VERY sure he’s never done any of these things.

  85. RT @fixaaron: Lin Wood represented falsely accused Richard Jewell. Interesting parallel.

  86. imnotblue Says:

    @ Terance

No, I don’t often check that address. I will double check.

I’m sure you’re joking about Holder… but to be more serious, why is that story less important than the other one you referenced?

  87. icemannyr Says:

Guess who just said bull shit on FNC.
Time for a 7 second delay?

  88. Cain: “I have never acted inappropriately with anyone.” Uh, I don’t know anyone who can claim that..

Please don’t come back and say, “See… HC once yelled at an employee, so he was lying, and must have done this!”

It would lame… even for a hater.

  91. Blue, I’m reacting to the bizarre decision to go with complete denial in the face of specific allegations that were settled out of court. It’s a complete severing of the agreement, leaving him completely open to having more sordid details revealerd, and is completely crazy. IN MY OPINION, he pushed his luck with several women, and needs to shut up about it if he’s not willing to admit it.

  94. No, I don’t often check that address. I will double check.

I’m sure you’re joking about Holder… but to be more serious, why is that story less important than the other one you referenced?

Ah, you got me hooked up with some second tier email address! (Not that I’m shocked!)

I’m not joking about Holder and don’t follow US politics very often. I think both sides are nothing but a bunch of crooks and perverts. So, anything that happens is par for the course and doesn’t surprise me in the least.

That said, while I know nothing about this Holder character.. I do know Israel is one our most important allies and for this to be going on in their country surely should get a rebuke from the politicians, no?

  95. Sounds a lot like “damned if you do, damned if you don’t.”

Sounds like if you get liquored up and chase blondes, pay up and shut up.

  96. A theory: “I ain’t gonna be President, and I still have to live with my wife. I’m not admitting nothin’.”

  97. Whatever number of books he’s selling won’t cover the settlement. I’m thinking Newt advised him on that.

  98. The is a distinct possibility that Herb is, and always has been, nuts.

  100. There is a distinct possibility you are right, and Netanyahu is a wise man.

  101. imnotblue Says:

    @ Terance

Well, you should read a US paper once in a while then. And for someone who “knows” what is and isn’t on FNC (as well as the other networks), you apparently don’t know much.

As for Israel, there a things done in every country we dislike, even our allies. Not much we can do about that, but pick our battles wisely.

  102. Blue – I read the local newspaper site, AP rss feeds, radar online, icn, tvn, drudge, tvbythenumbers, follow around 20 others on twitter… But, the trick is only clicking on stories I’m interested in.

Until lobbying is outlawed across the board along with all the pervs getting booted out of office.. US politics will be nothing but a dog and pony show.

  103. By your earlier logic, that means you hate dogs and ponies. Little children, get your rocks ready.

  104. Lobbying will never be outlawed.

First Amendment: … and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

  105. Lobbying in itself is necessary for a responsible, informed government. The problem comes from only the powerful having influence and from associated aftivities tiptoeing into bribery.

  106. Lobbying is also inextricably tied to another first amendment right – free speech. Many politicians over the years have used lobbyists as the scapegoats for their own actions.

  107. This topic should have been named Blogus DSLruptus.

  109. I thoroughly detest these fuel-company commercials with the overly earnest actors faux-lecturing me about the need for clean corn or whatever the hell it is. Shut up and drill something.

  110. Here (N. CA.) we have the ads where a Chevron engineer “agrees” with a “regular guy” about the environment and renewable energy and all that horsecrap, with nauseatingly comforting music. Shut up and drill something.

  111. I performed my #Occupy duty today. I voted.

  114. That’s comedy, people.

  116. I’m looking forward to tonight’s Republican debate on economic issues on CNBC. I hope Mr. Cains personal problems are not brought up – at least by the moderators.

Romney, Gingrich and Huntsman have the advantage as they actually know how the economy works and have real ‘plans’ to fix the country’s economic problems.

Cain, Paul and Perry have discredited simplistic ‘plans’ they will push.but I doubt anyone will take them all that seriously.

Bachmann and Santorum will out of their depth here and mostly will be making crazy charges from the outer edges of the stage. If anyone brings up Cains harassment problem it will be one of these two.

One interesting thing is that Gingrich should be next to Romney (if the polls are used to rank the candidates on the stage). This is his big chance to be the adult in the room and take on Romney’s economic plan. Will he do it or will he continue to battle the moderators and the press as his main opponent.

I don’t expect a repeat of the war that occurred in the last debate but who knows.

  117. icemannyr Says:

Someone tell FBN to grow up and stop mocking CNBC for airing a debate tonight.
What’s so bad about CNBC hosting a presidential debate?
Most of the FBN prime time programming has less to do with business news and more to do with politics and Obama bashing.
FBN is not even a serious player in the ratings and has no reason to be bashing CNBC,

  118. Tonight is the night Republicans realize Cain’s alleged “being inappropriate” isn’t even his biggest problem (you go first Newt).

  119. WAKE UP AMERICA!!

  120. Fears that Europe’s sovereign debt crisis was spiralling out of control have intensified as political chaos in Athens and Rome, and looming recession, created panic on world markets.

  127. I missed that. Like her name isn’t pejorative enough.

  128. Watched most of the debate tonight and it was pretty entertaining. Romney won by default as no one laid a glove on him. It was kinda like the first two debates in that way.

Herman was Herman and stayed on message without actually saying anything.

Professor Gingrich did really well teaching us poor idiots what a smart man he was. As I predicted he spent much of his time arguing with the moderators.

Rick Perry basically destroyed what was left of his campaign. He’ll be at 2%; no make that 1%; by the end of the week.

Michelle Bachmann was crazy as usual. I nearly fell out of my chair when she said that China had 3000 miles of secret tunnels to hide their nukes. Really!

Santorum was pretty good but appeared a somewhat sad and pitiful character.

    Ron Paul was Ron Paul.

Huntsman was by far the most rational one on stage. Thank God The Republicans will never nominate him.

Why Jim Cramer and Rick Santelli were moderating was beyond me.

  129. She might be right about those tunnels in China, actually. Not exactly sure why that matters about anything.

How did today’s EAS thingy go? I missed it. Have Megyn Kelly’s show on DVR and I can’t tell that anything happened.

  130. Newt fighting with Bartiromo was an unpleasant sight. He shows up to these debates, then acts put out that he’s being asked questions.

  131. Penn State is getting a bit worrisome, at least from the Live angle on CNN.

  132. Joe Paterno is lucky to get out alive. These people need to sit down and shut up.

  135. The classiest state in the country, Pennsylvania, showing it’s “class” again, protesting the firing of Paterno. Typical Pennsylvania, sports are more important than the law and the victims in this scandal.

  136. STFU Penn State students, you’re getting a college education. Get your heads out of your rectal cavities, put football on the back burner for a second and watch the news. Paterno knowingly allowed sexual abuse of minors to go on. That’s much more important than a football team.

  137. Doesn’t Ed Schultz have a sports background? He’s doing a great job tonight.

  138. People need to stop treating college football like a religion with Godlike coaches. It’s a ball game.

  139. Joe, don’t you know? What Paterno did is acceptable, as long as the football team wins games. (eyeroll)

This is why I hate Pennsylvania and Alabama.

  140. The students shouldn’t be in school anyway. They should be out protesting rich people and pooping at random.

  141. Unbelievable. One person, overlooked or ignored by so many.. How important could he have been? They deserve everything they get.

  142. Dude on MSNBC right now — PREACH IT, BROTHA!

  143. Andy Panda hates two whole states. What a jerk.

  144. Not uncommon in American schools to put football first. The students are well trained that way, and it’s about the money that sport generates. It’s always about the money.

  145. So..Kelly..let me get this straight. A story about little boys being molested while adults looked the other way warrants a wisecrack about OWS? What a jerk.

  146. @LarryKelly: I know a lot of people from Pennsylvania who have the same attitude the damn students protesting have. As for Alabama, the State Superintendent himself said they determine the success of their public schools by who has the best football record.

If a NASCAR driver had been accused of what Paterno did, people would be burning Charlotte to the ground and calling all NASCAR fans rednecks.

  147. Why stop there? Consider adding West Virginia to the list of States You Hate?

  148. @LarryKelly: Nah, West Virginia is a beautiful state.

  149. You really need to go to California to see how civilized people treat the game of football. Just get the fans from San Francisco and Oakland together. They have perspective.

  150. Yeah, kids, as long as no one ends up in ICU, it’s cool.

  151. I have to agree with Andy… Pennsylvania sucks. I hate that place.

THAT SAID, I was pretty hard pressed to find people really defending Penn State today. Most people on the television were adamantly against Paterno, and had already given the finger to the whole program.

Yes, the students may be freaking out a bit, but anyone who saw Matt Millen on ESPN this morning, CRYING, because his school and his coach, were going through this and he couldn’t defend it… knows that the serious people looking at this, no matter how close to the program, knew this had to happen. I’m sure there are a lot of really heartbroken fans, who hate to see things go down like this, but know there is no excuse for Joe and his team.

The students… we’ll, they’re dumb, drunk, and like most protesters… probably just looking to get dumber, drunker, and occasionally laid. Same as it ever was.

  152. – Paterno –

And thus ends the debate over why you should not name stuff after the living. Perhaps waiting til a decade posthumous would have been best, in this case.

  153. Sounds to me like the boys at Penn State learned the tricks of the trade from the Vatican, eh? I mean, letting that molester continue his ‘work’ off site? Sorta like moving around priests to unsuspecting congregations!

  154. @imnotblue: All I had to do is look at my facebook feed. All the football fans on my facebook page (most of whom reside in Pennsylvania) are crying about Paterno’s ouster and saying it was unjust.

  155. What I want to know is why is the guy, who was the graduate student, (McQuery?) who actually saw one of the instances of molestation, is still going to be on the sidelines this weekend? He sees this and calls his dad (the guy was 28 years old!) and says what should I do? Really? What you should have done was go in that shower, deck this Sandusky guy, get the kid some clothes and CALL THE POLICE!!! Have you seen the size of this guy? He could have easily decked Sandusky. He might have gotten fired but he would known he did the right thing.

  156. ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY
November 10, 1969 “Sesame Street” debuts.

And the liberal idea of mass education of children vs. stay at home moms reading to them proves so successful that SAT scores have spiraled downward since. But kids today are good at X-BOX and are obese little piggies.

  157. The total collapse of the economies of Greece and Italy shows how bankrupt is the promises of liberalism. Just spend your way into debt and tax the rich and you too can retire with full pay at age 56. And it will be hard to tell because you were getting 6 weeks paid vacation anyway. Liberalism: promise them everything because Ponzi sceems always work out in the end.

  158. @ Andy

You’d have to know a lot of Penn people, then. I’d say 95% of the folks on my Facebook roll is anti-Paterno, and very much so.
