People say, and I will take this advice, don’t punch down. Don’t respond to folks that are silly and aren’t worthy of a response. It isn’t true. I suspect he knows it isn’t true. I think he’s trying to get to FOX with a network that gets higher ratings than he does. I’ll leave it at that.
What a childish response. Is that all he has to say? It always comes down to ratings with these people when they are called out on an issue.
And you’re bragging about ratings, Chris? Really? Ratings… have you ever seen yours? You couldn’t hold David Gregory’s jockstrap, and you’ve been hosting a Sunday show for much longer than him.
I think he’s trying to get to FOX with a network that gets higher ratings than he does.
Was supposed to read:
I think he’s trying to get into a fight with a network that gets higher ratings than he does.
But his tongue got in the way (which happens).
But onto the “substance” of your comment.
It always comes down to ratings with these people when they are called out on an issue.
What was the actual “issue” you speak of? The part where Scarborough alleged something unproven (which you choose to believe) about his competitor? Was that the “issue?”
You couldn’t hold David Gregory’s jockstrap, and you’ve been hosting a Sunday show for much longer than him.
Of course you’ve decided it’s about personalities. So it’s Wallace v. Gregory… not program v. program. That’s, frankly, stupid.
Anyway, what do you think Wallace should have said? Scarborough alleged something, but offered no evidence… and you ate it up, because it fits your ideology. Fine. But what should Wallace have said to defend himself? Or, will you admit, that no matter what he said, you were going to irrationally attack it, simply to feed your obsessive hate towards all things FNC, and defense of all things MSNBC?
How about just denying it and saying it’s untrue? That would have been good enough. I don’t get the relevance of mentioning his ratings… which have improved.
It’s all comes from the prototypical snarky and unclassy comment you expect from Fox News hosts and personalities. They have nothing better to say, so let’s just talk about ratings, when that was never the issue.
And Wallace’s claim that Scarborough is “trying to get to FOX with a network that gets higher ratings than he does” is a more ridiculous assumption than what Scarborough alleges… because it’s unproven. Yet, you only complain about what Joe said as “unproven”.
By the way, if you want to talk about my obsessive hate of Fox… what does that make your thoughts on MSNBC and defending Fox, along with your sidekick, who defends them on a daily basis? You’re on their blog all the time agreeing with his band of misfits. Do you see me on any MSNBC defending sites 24/7?
Neat how Prog expects the people at FNC to behave but is A-Ok with MSNBC personalities constantly throwing out wild conspiracy theories about their competition. Wallace hates Romney. No proof. Anderson Cooper is in a conspiracy with GQ. No proof. Bleh, bleh, bleh.
MSNBC is the loser bully who when picking on the wrong person and getting punched back, goes running to the teacher or mommy.
So you’re upset that after saying it wasn’t true, and worthy of a response… he speculated on the reason why Scarborough (according to Wallace) was making things up? Wow. You must be a very sensitive fellow.
Oh, and I’d like to see the data that MSNBC’s ratings are going up, please.
Of course the difference is that Wallace said, “I think he’s…” which is quite a bit different than Scaraborough’s “He is…” statements. Wallace clearly speculated, Joe stated a “fact.” Neither is proven, but only one claims to be certain.
Are there MSNBC sites? And I’ve seen you at J$, defending MSNBC. I’ve seen you here, defending MSNBC. I’ve seen you at Mediaite, defending MSNBC. Sooooo… what are you asking me?
But you know the difference between us, Prog. I’ll call out FNC when I think they make a mistake. You’ll shamelessly lie about MSNBC and left-wing personalities (see Keith Olbermann) because you believe it “helps your cause.” Is this really a fight you want to pick?
Good plan. In the future, I’ll remember to explicitly only comment on stories you approve of, are aware of, or have links so you can make your own comments. Who are we to have a debate outside of your watchful eye?
The offer doesn’t interest me that much, but who the hell would Michael Savage support? My passing experience listening tells me that he hates everybody,. Rush, Hannity, Bushes old and young, Cheney, Condi, and those are just the Republicans. If I had to guess, I’d say Ron Paul, but even that seems unlikely.
So, as I asked a week ago, why did Scarbourgh pick this (“Wallace despises Romey”) fight with Wallace seemingly out of the bue? He had a reason; wish I knew what set him off. (Joe doesn’t take arbitrary swings at Fox. Says nice things all the time about Roger Ailes and Bill-O)

Obama has asked for the drone back. Iran says “no”.
Imagine that!

But Pam, ask Bin Laden what he thinks about it!

This little skirmish would be slightly more interesting if we knew what the hell you guys are talking about.

Context is your friend, smart guy. I have no idea what Scarborough said to set Wallace is off.
December 12, 2011 at 2:27 pm
Scarborough’s attack and Wallace’s response were both linked at J$P. It’s an interesting site.
December 12, 2011 at 2:36 pm
Well that’s just swell. In the future I’ll make sure to check other sites to figure out what people are talking about on this one.

Brietbart is mad at Glenn Beck about something. Look it up.
December 12, 2011 at 4:20 pm
Isn’t this little “Look at me! Look at me!” temper tantrum a little embarrassing for you?
December 12, 2011 at 4:29 pm
Thanks for the psychological profile, Freud.
December 12, 2011 at 4:42 pm
A simple “No, I’m not embarrassed, although I should be.” would have sufficed.
December 12, 2011 at 4:46 pm
Are you still talking? Of course you are.

Todd Palin snowmobiling. Yeah, we need another round of Palin home movies disguised as “a TV series”.

^ It’s called “snow machining” in Alaska. Haven’t you learned anything since the last election?

Bill O’Reilly on Megyn Kelly’s interrogation of Donald Trump’s hair: “Investigative journalism at its finest.” That was funny.

I’d say that she should’ve lit a match, but then they’d both go up in flames.

Pfft, screw Alaska. Here in the REAL America it’s a snowmobile.
