FishbowlDC hints that Larence O’Donnel fronts a pretty hostle workplace for female employees.

Mitt Romney & The L Word(s) Liberal, Liar and Liquidator.
Senator John McCain just endorsed Mitt Romney, here is a video of John McCain going through Mitt Romney’s Liberal Laundry List.
Meanwhile Newt Gingrich is going to release an attack ad against Mitt Romney titled “The King of Bain”. I decided to look up the dictionary definition of the closest spelling to Bain. Bane definition, a person or thing that causes misery or distress ( esp a bane in of one’s Life).

I would imagine LOD hosts a hostile workplace for everybody.

NOW With Alex Wagner is pretty awful. MSNBC really needs to rethink it’s dayside lineup.
January 11, 2012 at 11:13 am
O’Donnell’s just keeping up the 8pm MSNBC tradition. I expect Ed to do the same.
January 11, 2012 at 11:23 am
What is this O’Donnell item that you are all referencing but not linking to?
January 11, 2012 at 11:24 am
I think Big Ed just has a big temper. I don’t peg hims as the type who would make cutting remarks on a constant basis to his staff.
January 11, 2012 at 11:38 am
J$ – I’m just going off of Larry’s comment. I haven’t seen the article.
Agree about Ed, I don’t see him as the type to berate his staff on a consistent basis. I can definitely see that from LOD, though.

Thank you so much.

“I guess they didn’t catch enough crap for this the first time.”
From whom? Conservatives complained but the media was less than silent, often times putting forth the same stupid argument.

There isn’t a bigger race card playing jackhole than Tommy Christopher:
http://www.mediaite.com/tv/mitt-romney-added-welfare-line-to-prepared-new-hampshire-victory-speech/
Yeah cuz when people hear “European-style social welfare state”, they think of someone’s race. Well, Tommy does but he’s infamous for passing with flying colors, the word association test, when it comes to stereotypes and minorities.
January 11, 2012 at 12:55 pm
Tommy is a crusader for what he thinks is right, from a liberal perspective, Most often we not sharing that point of view get irked.. But also Tommy’s sense of moral outrage sends him off on other liberals if he sense lack of fair play. He gets equally fired up in that pursuit.
And how can you not admire someone who Tweets his own heart attack.
January 11, 2012 at 2:15 pm
I know y’all are twitter buddies but TC has some serious issues. There are plenty of lefties that I respect but he’s simply no where close to being one of them. He constantly invents racial hysteria and he flat out lies. He has the maturity of a 3rd grader.
January 11, 2012 at 2:21 pm
Newt has pretty much tarnished all the goodwill he was receiving prior to his pouting then vengeance against Romney. He has no shot, especially now, and he just comes across as a cry baby.

Mitt Romney has decided to tell the American public they’re jealous of him. I’d love to meet the genius strategist who came up with that gem.
January 11, 2012 at 4:19 pm
I believe that children are our future… At least I did until I found out Ron Paul got 47% of the New Hampshire youth vote.
January 11, 2012 at 4:20 pm
^Yeah, that’s what the media has been saying today. Do you have any thoughts of your own?
January 11, 2012 at 4:21 pm
Larry jumped in. My commented was directed at Joe.
January 11, 2012 at 4:22 pm
My kid got over Ron Paul, so I choose to find hope in that.
January 11, 2012 at 4:25 pm
Thanks, LS, but I haven’t been around “the media” today, I’ve been in court. I saw Mitt’s quote before I left this morning, and couldn’t believe my ears. Romney continues to back himself deeper and deeper into an “I’m not like you” hole..Mr. One Percent. It may pay short-term dividends in the primaries, but it’s death in the general.
January 11, 2012 at 4:26 pm

They are trying to deflect and distract – Newt’s PAC ad is going to leave a mark on Romney.
The attack ad released by Newt’s PAC “When Mitt Came To Town” was made by an ex Romney campaign aide from his 2008 campaign.

Kids are stupid. I had a Ross Perot sign in my room back in the day. It’s all about going against the grain and thinking you’re smarter than everyone else, particularly grown ups.
January 11, 2012 at 4:31 pm
Romney is correct. The only shot Obama has is to get those with less to hate those with more. His campaign platform is to divide the country through envy.
It’s crystal clear. But, it’s not framed that way by the people inside your TV box.
January 11, 2012 at 4:31 pm
He still likes Jesse Ventura and Trump, however, so hope can be overrated..
January 11, 2012 at 4:33 pm
If you think your average unemployed person is gonna take “you envy me” well, you be crazy. As crazy as Mitt.
January 11, 2012 at 4:34 pm
“Newt’s PAC ad is going to leave a mark on Romney.”
We’ll see. One think for sure, it’s going to leave tire tracks on Newt. He’s done. Conservatives don’t like conservatives that act like liberals. Newt should forgo the shower & razor and pop a tent in the middle of NYC.
January 11, 2012 at 4:39 pm
“If you think your average unemployed person is gonna take “you envy me” well, you be crazy. As crazy as Mitt.”
It’d be neat if that’s what he said. You’re getting confused with what your TV box told you he said and what he actually said.
January 11, 2012 at 4:39 pm
I hope Newt has enough money to maintain his loving spouse. He ain’t selling another book, especially if we lose this election. He’s crossed the line into doing oppo research for Dems.
January 11, 2012 at 4:41 pm
^Yup
January 11, 2012 at 4:48 pm
I know exactly what he said, and the optics of it. Pretending that any concern about how he made his money at Bain is nothing but “envy” is insulting to anyone who’s ever faced a pink slip. He’s supposed to be explaining how he created jobs there. Instead, he’s sending an “ah you’re just jealous” signal. Political. Suicide.
January 11, 2012 at 4:59 pm
He wasn’t talking about Bain. He was talking about the POTUS’s “politics of envy”. Not the attacks on him. That’s been the Obama strategy for the last year. You have an amazing ability to hear what you want to hear. Or, you just repeat what others say.
January 11, 2012 at 5:02 pm
the “99!-percenters” are a jealous pack that would demand they should have thy neighbors’s wife if having gotten thy neighbor’s money they were still feeling randy.
January 11, 2012 at 5:04 pm
Uhh, sorry son, but “politics of envy” is a political strategy to deflect the attacks about Bain. You’re following insignificant details, and missing the big picture.
January 11, 2012 at 5:24 pm
Oops, I’m wrong. I saw the quote, then hit the road today. It’s apparent after a few viewings that the only idiot strategist involved in this was Mitt’s mouth. Lauer caught him with a predictable question he was oddly unprepared for, and Romney fumbled it. Boy needs his teleprompter..
January 11, 2012 at 5:47 pm
Cue Emily Litella.

Took me a minute. “Why is Al talking about the guitar player in Aerosmith?”
What the heck is an aerosmith, anyway? Never mind..
January 11, 2012 at 5:59 pm
Where the hell are those subtitles?
January 11, 2012 at 6:01 pm
Need an aero?
January 11, 2012 at 6:42 pm
To hell with the subtitles, chickie.
Aero meaning “air” and smith meaning “steel worker”, thus aerosmith means working steel into the air… loud music.
January 11, 2012 at 6:43 pm
Some where back there I got hit by friendly fire from a Texan.
January 11, 2012 at 6:44 pm
^ Actually, the makers of loud music.
January 11, 2012 at 6:45 pm
And I always use “A. Smith” when checking into a motel.
January 11, 2012 at 6:48 pm
Damn, just got hit by another aero.
January 11, 2012 at 6:50 pm
Well, if Romney is only using “politics of envy”, now, to deflect from Bain, then I’m way smarter than he is. I’ve been accusing the POTUS of that for the past year.
January 11, 2012 at 6:50 pm
Though I have been known to crank up the last 5 minutes of the 9th Symphony.
January 11, 2012 at 7:04 pm
LS, read my lips: Ooops. My premise was wrong. Mitt blurted out a stupid phrase. It wasn’t planned..it isn’t a strategy. He’s just lame.
January 11, 2012 at 7:04 pm
Sounds like A Smith and Jethro Tull have a lot in common.
January 11, 2012 at 7:39 pm
For some reason I am now watching Cornel West debate Hannity with the sound muted. On appearance alone, West is winning.
January 11, 2012 at 7:42 pm
^ Hair vs Hair. I do believe Mr West has had a bit of a touch-up, not that there’s anything wrong with that.
January 11, 2012 at 7:59 pm
According to Steven Tyler’s book, that is NOT the derevation of “Aerosmith.”
January 11, 2012 at 8:02 pm

January 11, 2012 at 8:41 pm
Can you do the same for Bay City Rollers?
January 11, 2012 at 8:50 pm
According to WIKI-LARRY
The members of the band reportedly spent afternoons getting stoned and watching Three Stooges reruns.[19] One day, they had a post-Stooges meeting to try to come up with a name. Kramer said that when he was in school he would write the word aerosmith all over his notebooks.[19] The name had popped into his head after listening to Harry Nilsson’s album Aerial Ballet, which featured jacket art of a circus performer jumping out of a biplane. Initially, Kramer’s bandmates were nonplussed; they all thought he was referring to the Sinclair Lewis novel they were forced to read in high school English class. “No, not Arrowsmith,” Kramer explained. “A-E-R-O…Aerosmith.”[20] The band settled upon this name after also considering “The bananas” and “Spike Jones.”[19][21]

Joe did not ask the derevation (sic) of “Aerosmith”; he asked, “What the heck is an aerosmith, anyway?”
January 11, 2012 at 9:26 pm
And once again, it all comes down to what the definition of “is” is.
January 11, 2012 at 9:55 pm
Just watched the Bain documentary/ad. Willard’s in deep doodoo now. This was scathing, damaging and explosive. If Romney gets the nomination, and I believe he will, Newt’s buddies just saved the Obama campaign a lot of time, money and work.
January 11, 2012 at 10:11 pm
^That’s Newt Gingrich for ya.
January 11, 2012 at 10:14 pm
You have all sat through too many debates and gone bonkers. And don’t be knockin’ The Rollers.
Sidenote: I went out with a girl who wanted to see The Rollers at the Whisky-A-Go-Go. Not The Bay City Rollers. A sad remnant with a new lead singer called The Rollers. I was the only guy there, watching a couple of dudes in plaid who used to be in a big pop group backing some young singer nobody had ever heard of, a good five years after their Moment Of Fame. The parts that weren’t surreal..were ridiculous. She loved it, of course. That girl wasn’t too bright…

- Haley Barbour -
What is in the water that makes politicians turn crazy and fling open the prison doors on their way out of office?
January 11, 2012 at 10:49 pm
^ It’s freakin’ nuts and I’d love to smack that man upside the head. Why did it become a ‘tradition’ to issue these pardons just before leaving office, anyay? The practice is more than dangerous. Executive pardons and commutations are a vital check to the overwhelming power of the criminal justice system. At some point, though, We The People may decide to eliminate that authority. That would be a bad thing.
January 11, 2012 at 10:55 pm
This ‘tradition’ seems to involve paying off favors by releasing murderers. Now let’s think about that for a moment. Who has ever bailed you out of a bind who could best be repayed by releasing murderers?
January 11, 2012 at 11:02 pm
It appears that the wubble-u on my keyboard is lazy. Speaking of Wubble-u, George W. Bush wasn’t too fond of pardons and thought their use should be infrequent so not to overstep the normal justice system process.
January 11, 2012 at 11:05 pm
Must be nice for them, living in those gated-communities.
January 11, 2012 at 11:08 pm
We need a judge to protect us from a Republican turning criminals loose. What is wrong with this picture?
January 11, 2012 at 11:09 pm
-Releasing murderers-
The rationale for issuing these pardons and commutations is mercy. To be fair, there are people serving life sentences for a crime they committed a lifetime ago and who are genuinely sorry for what they did.
I can understand the desire to grant such a person another chance with whatever time they have left in their life. I can also understand the sentiment of those who believe, “Too damn bad and rot in Hell”.
January 11, 2012 at 11:15 pm
Drugs, theft, beat the hell out of a guy..I can understand. Murder, you can’t take back. If you’re lucky, you get a second chance in the afterlife.
January 11, 2012 at 11:45 pm
A jerk of a young man gets too angry, kills one person, and is put away for life. A drug pusher on the street murders no one but is indirectly responsible for the deaths of hundreds – those first few coke rocks are handed out for free. Can’t take any of it back.
January 12, 2012 at 12:15 am
Al, my friend. I understand the concept of “young, angry and stupid”, but there’s things you simply can’t be “stupid” about without paying the appropriate price. We have sentences and parole to deal with the variables. Arbitrary “bail outs” by politicians cannot be part of the equation.

Is it a smart business decision or a sign of desperation that CNN is running ads on FOX News?
January 13, 2012 at 8:42 pm
^ They all do it and it’s smart.
January 13, 2012 at 8:51 pm
The Glenn Beck ads on CNN are a bit more curious.
January 13, 2012 at 9:28 pm
I don’t know for sure but I think many of these are localised. Having same programme dvr’d in two locations before I noticed the ads are often different.
