Melissa Harris Perry is a moonbat.

    That’s all.

  2. Get over it, Lonestar. Jan Brewer isn’t a publicity-seeking bookseller, she’s a racist like the rest of the Republican party. Shape up.

  3. “Jan Brewer is a racist” is a stretch. “Jan Brewer is crazy old rude person” will suffice. You don’t stick your finger in the President’s face, and you don’t act put out that your stupid BlackBerry isn’t allowed in the Oval Office.

In other news: Thomas Roberts covered the Greg Kelly story this morning on MSNBC. No mention of any Fox association; they played it as a New York story involving a local news reporter and son of the commish. They also reported what I told you would sink the case: The woman’s texts after the incident involve discussions of what a nice time they had. I’m gonna go out on a limb and say she left that part out when she explained things to the boyfriend…

  4. CNN is talking about employers having 24-hour access to employees and referred to it on one occasion as “technological slavery”. On one hand it’s a really great term… but no..

  5. The more I see that clip of Santorum attacking Romney over the health care plan in Mass., the more I wonder why Romney is pretending there’s a problem with it. He was forced to defend it last night, and it sounded pretty good.

  6. Remember when some guy threw a shoe at President Bush, and some on the left said the problem was that Bush was able to duck? Remember when Harry Reid called the President a “loser,” among other insults?

Funny that today’s screaming Democrat (see MSNBC) has forgotten those moments, in favor of the “racist” narrative in regards to Brewer. It appears, to me, that Brewer certainly was rude… although, I’m almost certain she was provoked. But racist?!

The damage this President’s supporters have done to race relations in this country will take years, I predict, to repair.

  7. The damage on either side will never be repaired..it gets worse every cycle. The attacks on Clinton were hysterical; the attacks on Bush insane; now the ones on Obama are at “screamimg children on a playground” level. It’s depressing.

  8. lonestar77 Says:

I’m not sure she stuck her finger in the President’s face. All we have is a still photo and it looks anything but menacing. If you look at her mouth, it’s looks as if she’s smiling while she’s talking. And, a lot of people talk with their hands. It’s something that annoys me, especially to the extent that Axelrod does it but unless I see actual video of the shot from the camera angle which this photo was taken, I can’t say that she “stuck her finger in the President’s face”.

And, it’s odd that there is video from that angle but it cuts off and goes to another video where you can’t see shiite.

True. And, that’s politics. But now, since the sitting POTUS has darker colored skin, it’s suddenly racism.

INB is correct. The way the left has used racism as a club to beat all Republicans over the last few years has definitely set race relations back.

“you don’t act put out that your stupid BlackBerry isn’t allowed in the Oval Office.”

“President Barack Obama is determined to bring his BlackBerry with him to the White House, whether his subordinates like it or not.”

As per race relations, you know what would help? Blueberry pie!

  11. Here’s the letter she gave the President.

    http://www.mediaite.com/online/have-a-look-heres-the-letter-gov-jan-brewer-handed-to-president-barack-obama/

Some of the comments are funnier than what I’d write here… so I’m just going to leave it as is.

  12. The race relation thing won’t get better, either. I don’t think it’s worse. I think the election exposed how entrenched both sides already were. Every appearance of racism to a lefty is answered with “they always call us racist” by the right. The two sides are in completely separate realities, and I don’t see it changing in my lifetime.

  13. lonestar77 Says:

It could possilby stop if liberals stopped calling everything racism. Mitt Romney is racist for giving money to a black lady. It’s the worst thing you can call somebody, outside of maybe “naz!” and your side uses it on EVERYBODY.

Imagine if everyday, everybody in the conservative media and many conservative politicians went around calling all liberals anti-american. Watch MSNBC for an entire day and see how many times people get called a racist. I watched for about 15 minutes this morning – Alex Wagner? – and one of the panelists called Republican voters xenophobic and racist – and everybody laughed. It’s non-stop. You can’t watch the news, read news websites, nothing, without being inundated with multiple examples of lefties calling righties racist.

Yet, when we complain about it, people like you accuse us of “victimization”.

  14. ‘Racism’ is an assumption that must be disproven. It’s their reality. If you fail to accept that reality, then you’re the problem. The Left is never the problem. They’re good peepul.

  15. lonestar77 Says:

Of course they are with all the fairness and stuff.

  16. You proved my point, LS. You said “liberals call everything racism”. There’s nowhere to go with that.

  17. LS; Jan. 27; 11:52AM

^^ The two mayors (one Democrat; one Republican) that witnessed the event both agree with the POTUS; that it was no big deal and that the POTUS never lost his cool.

Brewer was giving interviews to everybody including school newspapers . She’s making it up as she goes to try and cover her butt and maybe sell a few books

The letter she wrote is just sad. a middle school student would make more sense.

  18. I don’t know what her deal is. I’m starting to worry about the woman. Sure as heck not defending, in any case.

  19. imnotblue Says:

    @ fritz

What part of the letter didn’t make sense to you?

  20. Is it just me, or did Wolf Blitzer pick up the balls that John King left on the floor? “Since you won’t be using these..”

  21. Wolf: No, this is a legitimate question. Mitt: Yeah, Newt, wtf? Newt: Crap.

  22. lonestar77 Says:

“You proved my point, LS. You said “liberals call everything racism”. There’s nowhere to go with that.”
    Sorry, but they do.

“The letter she wrote is just sad. a middle school student would make more sense.”

Did you read the letter? What was sad and what didn’t make sense?

“that it was no big deal and that the POTUS never lost his cool.”

Did they say that the Governor lost her cool? Cuz, everything I’m reading and hearing is describing her as treating a black man with no respect and poking her finger in his eye or something.

  23. lonestar77 Says:

I hate to defend Gingrich but he was actually correct with Wolf. It was obvious that CNN was begging for a fight as opposed to hosting a presidential debate. It was as if it was being hosted by a middle schooler. “He said this about you & you said this about him then he said this about you”. It really was getting old. And, Romney saved Wolf’s butt, Wolf didn’t save Wolf’s butt.

  24. Your interpretation of the debate is delusional, and a generalization as sweeping as “they call everything thus” is ridiculous.

  25. What part of the letter didn’t make sense to you?

Most of the letter is self aggrandizing BS meant to build up her image and by doing so put down that of the POTUS.

The invitation shows a lack of respect for the office and an unseemly familiarity with the POTUS. Brewer would be a good fit on ‘Hillbilly Handfishin’.

  26. @LS: I don’t call everything “racist” but I do believe race plays an element in GOP politics.

Why is it when Newt Gingrich or Rick Santorum talk about food stamps, they talk about black people being on food stamps and say they need to get a job? The majority of people on food stamps are rural white people. Why don’t Newt or Rick say “You know, all those white people on food stamps need the economy to improve so they can get jobs?” Why do they single out African Americans?

    It IS a race thing.

Oh, and speaking of “race” — 24 Hours of Daytona tomorrow afternoon on SPEED! :D

  27. No debate or primary tomorrow, but…DAYTONA!

  28. lonestar77 Says:

I haven’t seen Santorum single out black people and Newt was responding to a question about the NAACP.

  29. @LS: Newt’s been saying stuff like that for 20 YEARS!

Why didn’t he call Carter or Clinton “food stamp President”? Why does he act like the recession started under Obama. The “Food Stamp President” stuff is pious bologna. He knows it. Why does he keep saying it?

Face it man, subtle racism wins votes in Republican Primaries.

  30. I’m finally hearing Coulter’s comments about Gingrich. Haven’t really seen her lately. If anyone finds the Red Eye-clip, please pass it along.
