Without Bolling and Beckel how would you have The Five? I mean, we would never want to see that program disappear to be replaced with something that has actual production value or something.
The thing about Bob is that he doesn’t really bring that much value – when he actually sticks to the knowledge he does have. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy him on The Five, but he doesn’t really bring any breathtaking thoughts or points of view, especially when he’s placed on these shows four to one to just wait for that moment when he does something stupid and he comes off as a “foolish liberal.”
It’s a tired routine – and with FNCs recent hire of some real quality activists and loud, proud liberals, I question whether he serves much of a purpose these days.

Imagine the outrage from Fox if a liberal on MSNBC told a tea party member on-air that she didn’t know what the F she was talking about.
It’s been decades since pre-teens started using the word in the movies and on premium cable. The outrage when it pops up now and then on a cable news show is looking lame.

Some people just aren’t meant for live, unscripted TV. He and Bolling would seem to top the list.

It was a bad mishap but he clearly didn’t think they were back on air. I hope fnc doesn’t overact.

If you don’t know how to tell if you’re on the air or not… you probably shouldn’t be on the air in the first place.

Hannity said he gives “clemency” to Beckel, and that he’ll be back on The Five today.

Has Fox never heard of the seven second delay?
I imagine they don’t really care as it add controversy and thus publicity to the show and thereby increases its ratings.
These slips by Beckel are the main; if not the only; reason we ever discuss the show on this site.

It seems that the only reason Beckel stays on the air is that he can say anything at any time and you never know what or when.

Is it Wednesday?

O’Reilly at the end of his show tellling viewers to “spout off” vie e-mail to the Factor but not to “spout off like Beckel did”. Haha.

I liked one of THE FIVE guys, don’t remember which, saying that a group of 20 prostitutes was known as “a Beckel”.
