SE Cupp is doing a miserable job of defending Ted Nugent’s violent rhetoric on NOW with Alex Wagner this morning. “What about what Craig Killborne said about George Bush in 2000″ is NOT an “explanation”, dearest.
April 19, 2012 at 9:21 am
Craig Kilborn!? If you can’t just admit that it was bad, at least find someone who’s still working.
April 19, 2012 at 10:00 am
Joe + Nugent = dead horse corpse abuse.

A Korean, Obama, and Bo walk in a bar. Bartender says…
(today’s build your own joke)
April 19, 2012 at 10:21 am
Right, SE’s talking about Craig Kilborn in 2000, but I’m the one beating a dead horse. It was on cable news. Today. This is a cable news blog.

Dontcha know we’re supposed to be discussing dog snacka?
April 19, 2012 at 10:46 am
Oh, right. My bad.

The sad thing is, you people believe that sh|t. “Oh, we were just funnin’ with him..” Yeah, right.
April 19, 2012 at 11:43 am
I saw NOW and I think SE’s point was that similar violent rhetoric was used against Bush and no one seemed overly concerned about it. SE did condemn Nugent on NOW. She also said everyone on the panel had amnesia when it came to some of the vile things said about Bush.
April 19, 2012 at 11:48 am
That’s because today’s rhetoric can be dubbed as ‘racist’. If you choose to remember history, it tends to take the bite out of the charge.
April 19, 2012 at 2:55 pm
Bringing up racism out of thin air is a dodge, and a rather odd one coming from someone I know thinks Nugent is a moron.

Just finished up seeing “The Pacific” and while it’s flawed (jumps around too much) it was very moving in parts.
The scene near the end where Eugene Sledge, one of the three main protagonists in the series, literallly just returns from the horrors of war (he’s got blood and dirt all over him) to see beautiful nurses handing out sweet lemonade breaks your heart. The look on his face just makes you cry. He simply cannot comprehend the world anymore.
We don’t appreciate what they gave us. No we don’t.
We’re dopes, we really are.
April 19, 2012 at 3:37 pm
You’re right, it’s flawed, but brilliant. That scene’s gonna haunt you for a long time.

Ted Nugent, famous rock artist and firearm enthusiast, has been cleared by Secret Service following an interview. Fox News reports that the U.S. Secret Service anticipates “no further action.”

^ “If we see you anywhere near the President, you’re a dead man. Capiche?”

Hannity is ingoring Ted Hugent for a second show.
Has Hannity done a segment on Nugent yet?

I never worried about watching the live version of “Special Report” before, because I often woke up in the middle of the night and caught it at that time. But now that the new bimbette infested 5 a.m. version of Fox and Friends is here, O’Reilly’s rerun has been moved back so that Special Report is no longer rerun.
Seriously, is it really worth it to air another hour of “fluff” instead of real news? I think not (although the ratings may prove me wrong). But I don’t get it.

It’s weird how often I type in mediaite.com and get automatically re-directed to The Onion.

^ What she said. My crappy satellite got rained-out the other night, and when I went to rerecord it, I got the third showing of O’Reilly. Thanks, Fox.

Who you calling “she”!
Sorry to cut in line.

TVNewser says Olbermann will be on the panel for ABC’s This Week.

Try watching that crap just before bed at 2 in the morning. I like teeth and legs and T&A as much as the next guy, but that show is a bit much at that time of the night/morning. I’ll stick with Lynn Berry and First Look, thankyouverymuch.

“I like teeth and legs and T&A as much as the next guy”
Joe, I thought you thinking of what to order chicken at KFC!
April 19, 2012 at 7:36 pm
missy, isn’t Special Report re-run right after Red Eye where you live?
April 19, 2012 at 7:55 pm
No more, Carol. Now it’s O’Reilly, then onto the 5 a.m. F & F.

Can you imagine responding to a plate of cookies by “joking” that they weren’t really homemade, that the person presenting them must have bought them at 7-11? HA! Mitt Romney is kind of a dick.
April 19, 2012 at 9:20 pm
oh, the humanity.
April 19, 2012 at 9:36 pm
That’s it. He’s not fit to be President. Joke about cookies or spend trillions of dollars on uh, something or other? Show me the $$$$! BTW, just how many cookies could you buy with the debt Obama has created?
April 19, 2012 at 9:37 pm
They’ve got to hang on to something, Larry. Obama is a failure. But, Mitt is a successful rich guy who jokes about cookies. Evil!
April 19, 2012 at 9:42 pm
I know these people..they think insulting you is funny. They’re the ones who deal with it by saying “I was only joking!”, which closes a perfect loop of being a jerk, then blaming you for being offended by it. I can’t stand that insensitive BS.
April 20, 2012 at 2:19 am
“these people”, Joe? If you said that to a black, you’d be labeled a Klan member, and Sharpton et al would be camped out and your doorstep for the next few months.
April 20, 2012 at 6:05 am
Gave “The Pacific” 5 1/2 episodes, but just couldn’t finish it off. Was afraid continued viewing would somehow taint my reverence for “Band of Brothers”.
April 20, 2012 at 8:12 am
Nice to hear from you, Missy. Next time, try actual content in a comment. Just for different.
April 20, 2012 at 8:13 am
Farris, you should finish The Pacific. The “going home” episodes are very good.
April 20, 2012 at 8:47 am
My dad was wounded on Iwo Jima. He died about a year before “The Pacific” was shown. I’m not sure he would have wanted to watch it.
April 20, 2012 at 8:59 am
I can’t imagine someone who was there wanting to see it. The Pacific does a good job of showing those of us who only understand war in the abstract how real and horrible it is.
April 23, 2012 at 12:34 pm
^Well said, joe.
