Four Years is Long Enough…
If I haven’t burned out your corneas by now, I’ll never get it done…
Color Scheme Change!
I’ll be tweaking it a bit to get the finer details handled but enough of the basics are in place that I can go with what I have…

You scared me to death, Spud. Your “Four Years is Long Enough” headline sounded as if you were quitting the site once again. But I guess the color change is OK (no, not really, my eyes are really burning right now. Seriously!)
May 30, 2012 at 1:35 pm
I think the logo needs some color changes?
I’ve never cared for the light gray page on darker gray background/pasteboard but that’s just me.
12 point typeface?
May 30, 2012 at 2:46 pm
I’m frigging snow-blind already.
May 30, 2012 at 2:47 pm
Spud must have a son named Edsel.
May 30, 2012 at 2:59 pm
It’s been an hour already, and it’s still bright white. Someone get me my sunglasses.
(Spud, this is way too bright!)
May 30, 2012 at 3:01 pm
I detested red-on-black. Bravo!!
May 30, 2012 at 3:02 pm
My i-Pad just burst in flames.
May 30, 2012 at 3:19 pm
Spud’s new webmaster:

Explains a lot, I think.
May 30, 2012 at 3:35 pm
I’m with laura. This is a huge improvementt.
May 30, 2012 at 3:41 pm
I’d have gone with a full redesign instead of just a color change, but I like it.
May 30, 2012 at 4:19 pm
A full re-design is tough with a live website. I can’t just swap in a new re-design. I have to select the pattern and then customize it but I have to activate it before customizing it which could cause all kinds of trouble for you guys.
May 30, 2012 at 4:21 pm
I’m still open to changing the colors some more and darkening things a bit.
May 30, 2012 at 4:38 pm
I’m old. Old people don’t like change.
May 30, 2012 at 6:14 pm
Geez, changing the color put everyone into a stunned silence.
May 30, 2012 at 6:16 pm
Good job! A definitely upgrade!
May 30, 2012 at 6:21 pm
Place creeps me out. Like opening an empty refrigerator. If Fritz and Booger like it, it can’t be any good. Laura has been replace by an alien clone.
May 30, 2012 at 6:27 pm
It’s bright and easy to read, simple but not too simple… Yeah, I think this scheme fits ICN well. The logo bar is good the way it is, btw. Even on a small smartphone screen it takes only a mere glance to identify whose page I’m on.
May 30, 2012 at 6:31 pm
I guess “Al” must be short for “alien”.
May 30, 2012 at 6:38 pm
Joe, be very careful.
May 30, 2012 at 6:45 pm
Why oh why….we fix something that aint broke!!
May 30, 2012 at 7:31 pm
I’m old too, Larry, and you’re right about the refrigerator. I think I’ll have to go to the opthalmologist after this to see whether I might have cateracts or something.
Maybe I’ll just call in my remarks from now on (is that possible)? And Spud, you need a cat background in honor of the real Missy,
May 30, 2012 at 7:34 pm
Then of course this comes to mind: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q40fKsRsHFU
May 30, 2012 at 7:38 pm
Ha Ha, Missy. That was great.
May 30, 2012 at 7:39 pm
I never watched that show. Not even once.
May 30, 2012 at 7:41 pm
No soup for you!
May 30, 2012 at 7:57 pm
You never saw Seinfeld? Yep, definitely alien.
My verdict: I hate the new color ’cause I don’t like change, either, but I probably won’t even notice in a couple months.
May 30, 2012 at 8:14 pm
I like it. I’ve never been a fan of colored backgrounds for web pages.
Now all we need is a conversion to Disqus so we can reply to individual commenters to facilitate discussion flow. Plus the ability to edit our comments.
May 30, 2012 at 9:20 pm
Edit our comments? That’s Disqusting.
May 30, 2012 at 9:27 pm
That would take all the fun out of raging on other peoples errors.
May 30, 2012 at 9:43 pm
I hate Disqus. People replying to specific people jacks up the chronology of a thread.
May 30, 2012 at 9:47 pm
^ and all of our carrots would die.
May 30, 2012 at 9:57 pm
For the Bunnies.
May 30, 2012 at 10:03 pm
What the crap are you people talking about?
May 30, 2012 at 10:05 pm
Alien caret abduction. Try and keep up.

Can you edit that into English?
May 30, 2012 at 10:29 pm
Prolly should’ve been “Sign Language”
May 30, 2012 at 10:31 pm
Or Braille. Not so good with a flat screen.
May 30, 2012 at 10:59 pm
Now all we need is a conversion to Disqus so we can reply to individual commenters to facilitate discussion flow.
That’s all up to WordPress.com since this blog is on their site. You get what you pay for. Actually I paid for this custom CSS design but that’s all I’m paying since this isn’t a for profit blog.
I hate Disqus and hate followed comments even more because you have to jump around to see where the latest comments are.

As long as it doesn’t automatically go into swipe mode. I hate swipe mode. My iPad acts like a Microsoft product in swipe mode. The word “swipe” itself is offensive to me. Get those kids off my lawn!
May 31, 2012 at 2:19 pm
I like the changes Spud, it is a bit easier on the eyes.
