  1. Oh, you’re a busy man, let Larry help:

    FOXNEWS 10,019,827
    CBS 8,308,421
    ABC 8,287,610
    NBC 7,851,757
    MSNBC 4,378,671
    CNN 4,145,951

  2. Yeah, but Fox News isn’t mainstream so why report it?

    BlueNotMe will like that one.

  3. People know Fox won the debate coverage… As if we don’t already talk about their ratings enough. If another channel got the highest numbers, and it was reported on a lot, We would hear cries of “liberal bias”. The point is MSNBC’s ratings are up compared to the other two.

  4. it is true some people are fascinated by midget wrestling.

  5. imnotblue Says:

    Har har.

I guess by that logic, Twitter and Facebook are also part of the MSM.

  6. ^Because….well because I said so.

    Consistency is over-rated anyway.

  7. Its interesting that Fox News got more coverage in relation to individual channel lineups. What is even more interesting is that if you add up all the stations that Fox News claims to be “Liberally Biased” (Which only MSNBC really is, and CNN is more conservatively biased) than Fox News loses hands down, period, end of discussion. If taken into context, Fox News is a small Entertainment Network that produces nothing useful for news that any other channel doesn’t already cover. Just think, all this Liberal Bias in the media, and ONLY Fox News tells the truth. A teacher used to tell us that if you think you are the only person in the world that is right, and the rest of the world is wrong, chances are you need psychological help immediately for delusions of grandeur.

  8. You made that up. Suspect the teacher told you shouldn’t sleep in class.

  9. Yes Larry, don’t mock those of us who like the midget wrestling ;)

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, FNC is the big winner, what else is new? I’ll tell you what’s new – the story that MSNBC is passing up CNN in the ratings. CNN is still in a ratings freefall and all they can do is keep grabbing anvils.

    Woo-hooo, my midget is winning!!!!!!

  10. Mr. Richard Paul,
You completely misunderstand those at Fox News. You see, written in the job description of their employment contract, it clearly states, the employee must be extraordinarily capable of monumental delusions of grandeur. How else could those girls slather on the buckets of makeup, slither into those dresses, speak in the tone of a 12 yr old girl, and stand in unnatural poses all the while genuinely believing they should be taken completely seriously? Really, it takes a special skill to be that delusional but they are incredibly talented at FNC.

  11. ^Did you think of that all by yourself?

  12. Elle is pretty sharp, and can probably kick your arse, too. ;-)

  13. It would appear that if the vast left wing MSM conspiracy theory that many FNC viewers believe is fact; then conservatives would only watch FNC and liberals would watch a mix of the other nets. If so, then 10+/- million viewers were conservitive and 33+/- million liberal or moderate.

Of course this is silly and viewers of all ideologies watch different networks for different reasons. But just as silly is the theory that that only FNC gives an unbiased view of the coverage and everyone else is completely in the bag for Obama and that every article or comment the least critical of Romney is proof they want Obama to win.

Personally I watched the VP debate on CNN because I’m hooked on that silly little like/dislike gimmick at the bottom of the screen.

  14. The description of media bias as a conspiracy is a false premise and a silly one spun by silly people. as if all the MSM reporters get together in a dark parking garage to plot a coordinated liberal agenda? Silly.

No, the simple fact is most reporters, journalists, and media managers are liberal in philosophy as poll after poll has shown. Many have entered journalism for the professed reason of making “the world a better place”. Bias comes from their slant on life morphing into a slant in reporting. Those in a position to hire have historically hired those of their own philosophies. That’s where FNC changed the game by bringing on board a crew with either a conservative, or at the least an open minded view of politics, life, and reporting.

That was a game changer that filled a desire for more than a one-sided POV by over half the nation. We conservatives consider FNC as an answered prayer, but acknowledge in the world of visual media, it stands alone.

  15. I don’t disagree that the majority of the media is somewhat liberal and may have a unconscious bias in how they report the news. It’s just like much of the military has a bias to a right wing POV. I don’t see how you change those facts and constantly whining.about it is just a waste of time.

“That’s where FNC changed the game by bringing on board a crew with either a conservative, or at the least an open minded view of politics,”

^^ I agree that FNC changed the game by ‘bringing on board a crew that with a conservitive view of politics’. That they are, in any way, open minded is just an opinion of conservatives and you are welcome to it.

MSNBC has now changed the game again in putting forth a liberal POV delivered by mostly liberal hosts.

There are still some small fig leaves of unbiased news delivery on each net (Shep Smith and Chris Jansing come to mind) but the overall ideological view of the nets, they work for, often seeps into their political coverage.

There doesn’t appear to be a big audience for a non-bias POV of politics mostly I think because most Americans lean either to the left or right and, to the extent they are interested in politics at all, most with that interest want to see news delivered from nets with their own POV.

  16. I have no problem with conservative cable news. My problem is with FNC, and the stupid view their audience has of them. Fox runs a schlocky, tabloid version of news; and their viewers claim everything they do is “balanced”, and anyone who deviates from their view is a biased liberal. It’s a scam.
