Some people are like Slinkies – not really good for anything, but bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs.

Does anyone think Peter Norton will ever be captured?

The funny thing about McAfee is that I’d seen a story about him on Twitter, a few days before he was in the news. Didn’t read it that close, but the general idea was “Boy, he’s nuts”.

Mediaite is awful. It’s a sewer. Almost as bad as the dailykos. It’s amazing how angry and hateful liberals are. They just won the freaking Presidential election.
December 7, 2012 at 4:16 pm
Yeah, it’s just the liberals who are hateful over there. The conservatives are perfect angels..
December 7, 2012 at 4:17 pm
Yeah, but we have a reason!
December 7, 2012 at 4:28 pm
Not many conservatives left over there. Just a bunch of kooks calling people “baggers” and “racists”. Deep.
December 7, 2012 at 4:52 pm
I comment on there now and then. Can you believe people are mean to me?
December 7, 2012 at 5:02 pm
Larry, another great comment at Politico on the Jesse Watters story.
December 7, 2012 at 5:18 pm
The exodus of righties at Mediaite is bizarre. Six months ago it was almlost all conservative; now it’s completely reversed. I rarely bother..the way the comment section is layed out is annoying.

I know it’s already been said, but Sean Hannity is a liar. Melissa Harris-Perry is not an “anchor” on “NBC News”. The bug from the network says MSNBC, but the Fox label of “NBC NEWS” is much larger on the upper-left. The only one who’s valid is Andrea Mitchell, but what she said was relatively mild. If you want to point-out the race-baiting on MSNBC, fine. Go for it. Stop embellishing it with outright lies.
December 7, 2012 at 7:47 pm
Sean Hannity doesn’t give a damn about things like facts. MHP does not work for NBC News, and has never hosted a news show. She is quite free to voice her opinion on race issues.
December 7, 2012 at 7:59 pm
And he is quite free to criticize her truthfully. He repeatedly said “NBC News”, he referred to her as an “anchor”. I would guess that the only reason he didn’t do the same with Chris Matthews is that people might actually recognize him and know that it’s a lie.
December 7, 2012 at 8:00 pm
Sean has an inner world of facts, and that’s all that matters. MSNBC and NBC News are the same thing, and so are their anchors and opinionators. Because he says so.
December 7, 2012 at 8:02 pm
And, of course, the onscreen representation that it was “NBC News”, which means that it’s not just him who’s lying.
December 7, 2012 at 8:11 pm
Sean lies; the viewers go along with the lie; and everyone has a good laugh because it’s just a bunch of stupid liberals so who cares?
December 7, 2012 at 8:14 pm
I personally think the FNC show, THE SIMPSONS, is disrespectful of conservatives.
December 7, 2012 at 8:19 pm
ABBOT: Watching Hannity on a regular basis like hitting yourself on the head with a hammer.
COSTELLO: I know.
ABBOT: Then why do you do it?
COSTELLO: Because it feels so good when I stop.

I assumed, I suppose because he’s old, that Rupert Murdoch was making plans toward a near-term retirement. Maybe he’s not so old… his mother died only two days ago.
December 7, 2012 at 10:07 pm
OLD is relative.

- retirement -
Might’ve been his Alzheimer’s act at the trial that gave the impression.
December 8, 2012 at 8:43 pm
Hannity’s little MHP trick was entirely intentional. FNC is obsessed with lumping NBC News together with MSNBC in order to bolster their claim that ALL mainstream media is liberal. That claim might have more credence if Hannity wasn’t resorting to making stuff up.
An what’s Hannity doing taking pot shots at MHP? In terms of ratings, isn’t that punching down? If I were MHP, I would egg him on as much as possible.
December 8, 2012 at 8:59 pm
I flip back-and-forth between Piers and Hannity, and caught that particular segment. It’s a little difficult to know that a show on Fox is telling outright lies when you don’t watch. Bellicosity, overstatement and repetition is one thing, but this strikes me as a whole other. It shouldn’t be allowed, if the network has any pretensions of credibility.
December 8, 2012 at 11:10 pm
It shouldn’t be allowed, if the network has any pretensions of credibility.
That’s the problem. They have pretensions of credibility which they ignore on a regular basis. It’s a closed loop of a network bleating whatever pops in their heads about those they consider enemies, and an audience which eats it up. They have the ratings; the viewers are stupid and happy; real news and honest opinion are a joke.
