Ambush?
Breitbart.com has an uncredited story about the attempts by Piers Morgan tonight staffers to set up a rematch between Morgan and Ben Shapiro… ( via J$ )
But when it came time to book the show, Morgan’s team refused to tell Shapiro what the format of the show would be. When Shapiro said that he expected balance — a second one-on-one interview with Morgan — Morgan’s producers balked. They did insist strongly, however, that Shapiro appear on the show, where he would be “in for the entire show” and “have a huge part.” When Shapiro again reiterated that balance would be a one-on-one, and asked for more details on what his role would be, Morgan’s producers went silent.
“This is how the left manipulates media situations to ambush conservatives,” Shapiro said. “Piers and I had a good conversation last week about gun control; if he wants a rematch, I’m always game.”

Ya know, I hate when conservatives use terms like “burned” and “smackdown”, but that was clearly the case with Shapiro. You could not watch that clip without seeing Piers fail with every attempt at manipulation. He lost and he can’t stand it. The smart thing would be to let it go, but instead he wails like Jonah Goldberg after he fell for the ‘ambush’. Perfect. Now he wants to surround himself with victims, because it takes a lot of cover for an ass like his.

Ck. this Laura… Piers is really trying to set up the lad with taunts “grow a pair” etc.– if nothing else it gets some interest flowing Morgan’s way which CNN needs badly– this Brit Twit should be executively ordered to become The Annointed One’s Court Jester– it would give Biden a day or two off once in awhile– i like this kid Shapiro… he’s got spunk!

Piers Morgan is a bully who uses dead children, grieving relatives and internet freaks to sell his cause and cover his sorry ass. CNN and AC is going along with him. Oh, and their few reports on the drawbacks of ObamaCare just happen to mention the one element that “favors” the NRA. The rest are basically “Oh, look at this wonderful thing that’s now being covered!”…with magic liberal money falling from the sky.

Laura, you are totally right about CNN and AC going down with them. In all the halls of power in this country, there is NO ONE to hold accountable, NO issue to investigate such that CNN needs to cull the American backwater for a bunch of cranks, kooks, loons, and has-beens to make a point about gun control. Now AC is on the front lines protecting us from wacko conspiracy theorists?!?! CNN has been sending Piers to every talk show so he can tout his activism. This is just getting ridiculous.

Elle… there is no “backwater” here… there is blue America and red America and whether you believe that you should be allowed to arm yourself in most anyway you see fit or whether you can publish the addresses of gun owners to intimidate them and then think it’s ok for them to arm themselves with security guards and not allow “gun free” zone signs to be placed in their front yard– do you realize that Barack Obama has become the best gun salesman in the history of the nation?– 3.7 million firearms sold in the last two months and forget trying to find ammo over the Net!– let him proclaim his “executive orders”… then let him try to enforce it–

The POTUS is using everybody else’s children. He’s using children as props today and he released letters of “support” from children to the AP. You don’t like the NRA’s ad? Fine. I find the use of children as props to play on people’s emotions so he can score a political victory disturbing.
