What do you think of the new “Newsroom Int’l” (soon-to-be renamed “Around the World”)? Is the team of co-anchors working for you? I’d rather see someone else in the table, but I can’t think of one anchor in CNN Domestic with significant international experience to replace Suzanne and Holmes other than Cooper, who is definitely not going to do daytime news on CNN… ever and Blitzer, who is a locked deal in the Situation Room, no matter how many hours it has. I mean, Zoraida, Costello, Erin, Brooke, Berman, Lemon, Randi, Whitfield, Deborah… Maybe Ashleigh? This speaks volumes of the current on-air staff of CNN Domestic.

I could care less who replaces Suzanne as long as he/she sits up straight in the damn chair!

I’ve never watched CNN Newsroom Int’l before. I keep telling myself to watch it when I can to see if it’s any good but I always forget to.

Newsroom International, to be Around the World, can be interesting, but there’s been a lot of creep in the last week towards domestic stories, though they appear to have moved away from that this week. I’m still not a huge fan of Malveaux as an anchor though, today Holmes looking comfortable in his seat while she seems to be learning forward and right during the program. I guess I can be thankful she hasn’t said global warming causes asteroids or that 196 is almost 200.

Bob Woodward today:
“So when the president asks that a substitute for the sequester include not just spending cuts but also new revenue, he is moving the goal posts. His call for a balanced approach is reasonable, and he makes a strong case that those in the top income brackets could and should pay more. But that was not the deal he made.”

Also too dumb for words: idea that negotiating new agreement improperly “moves goal posts.” They move w/every new budget/law – thus “new”

Changing LET’S CUT to LET’S CUT AND TAX not goalpost change, whole new game

Me: “I’ll give you 50 cents for your donut.”
You: “Hmm, let me think about it.”
Five minutes later….
Me: “I’ll give you 25 cents for your donut plus I want your muffin.”
You: “What? That’s not what you offered…..”
Me: “Hey, don’t be difficult. Do you want a deal or not?”
New budget? They haven’t passed a budget in four years.

CNN’s wall-to-wall right now with coverage of the very serious crash on the last lap of the NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Daytona.

Wait wait wait… do you DON’T renegotiate a deal after you’ve agreed upon it?
Huh, who knew?!

CNN and FOX will cover the NASCAR press conference live. MSNBC airing documentaries.

We need a national conversation on auto-racing. Should we be putting families in danger with a “sport” that can kill them?

Hmm, kept getting a “No SIM Card” message on my iPhone.
Hit the reset network settings, powered down and restart. Worked for awhile. Then “No SIM” message again. Reset again. Worked for awhile.
Then read the obvious answer: turn on airplane mode. Then turn it off. That (sorta) shuts down and then restarts things.
Working so far. Probably need to get a new card soon.
Favorite song when running: Serenade by Steve Miller Band.

Yes, too much politics. Eats you up; need to get away from it.
