How about Brooke Baldwin?
The sassy ginger is intelligent. articulate, witty, with a bawdy sense of humor.
She’s versatile, done a solid job subbing in the AM and hosting other CNN programming.
Last summer she hosted The Queens Jubilee in the UK and the Brtis loved her.
BB is worthy of an opportunity to expand her presence on CNN.
Erin can’t stay at 7 p.m. for sure. She’s gotta move somewhere else. If not the mornings, then late night. Zucker can’t possibly be serious about improving CNN ratings without solving the Erin issue and the Anderson conundrum. That is: moving Erin and dumping either the 8 p.m. or the 10 p.m. AC360°.
Now, I don’t like Piers but after the Alex Jones Springer-like charade, I think Zucker will cut him some slack to see what else he can do. It’s all about ratings.
Seeing the updated version of that article, I can’t believe that they’d poach Meade from HLN. While it could strengthen CNN, HLN would lose a far too major personality when it’s already defined itself quite well.
I wonder if there’s a chance for Baldwin or Bolduan. If it were Baldwin, that would open a set of hours in the middle of the day for CNN to move Erin if they felt the need.
Why not just move Robin Meade to CNN and give Morning Express to Susan Hendricks or Natasha Curry. Meade is one of CNN’s most valuable properties and she’s a proven morniing personality. Put her on the main netowrk.
Robin Meade would be a bigger mistake than Brooke Baldwin.
CNN should either go with Burnett (unless she balked at the idea) or move Zoraida Sambolin over to the new show. Either way, they won’t change the content and the show will fail.
It’s either Meade, Baldwin or Boudin. All three are good. People on here should actually watch Baldwin, she should be on Today and her name makes her look like an airhead if you never watched. She’s become CNN’s go to anchor for anything but politics, and can wear many hats. Her two hours are the only newsroom shift that’s watchable. Meade is personable and down to earth, and Kate is a fresh breath on a network with very few new talents. All three women would be valued anywhere.
Burnett while a good economics reporter, isn’t a good fit at CNN. CNBC’s ratings have been down and if i were her I would take their offer if they came to her. There’s real leverage for her at CNBC, while she’s drowning at CNN. I just don’t like how her camp has been seemingly calling page six and making herself a position knowing her time is up in primetime. That kind of play never ends well when your desperate for a job after it blows up in your face.
Chris Cuomo has already stated on Twitter that the new morning show will premiere in mid-April and will be on from 6:00AM to 9:00AM. I like how CNN is returning to a 3 hour format like how American Morning was. I think Robin Meade would make the absolute perfect co-host. Brooke Baldwin I feel is a better fit for HLN and should take over Morning Express or perhaps even Christi Paul. I don’t think Erin Burnett would be great for 3 hours a day. With the new morning program coming, I do wonder what the fate of Early Start is and if there still will be a LIVE 5:00AM hour.
As for alternatives, I just don’t think Cuomo and Meade would be a good match. While Cuomo has a level of seriousness, Meade is excessively sunny and really appears solid as a singular anchor, not as part of a two headed three hour program.
I still lean towards Baldwin, but I’ll admit I hadn’t watched the times she subbed in the mornings earlier this year, or was that late last year.

She is good where she is at.

Maybe Deborah Norville?

I was thinking maybe Kathy Griffin.

The sassy ginger? Welcome to 1958.

I think it’ll be Kate Bolduan.

Because y’know, that bubbly blonde is–
No, I’m just saying that it’s going to be Kate Bolduan. That’s what this co-hosting with Wolf gig has been about.

Erin is fine where she is if Zucker is looking to keep a conservative in primetime. OutFront is turning into America Live quickly.

This is just a rumor as far as I can tell. I still think Burnett has a good shot at the morning slot. Lets see how it plays out.

Erin Burnett and Chris Cuomo are anchoring coverage of The Pope on CNN and CNN International.

Brooke Baldwin would be worse than Erin Burnett.

They can use Dave Garroway and a monkey..it won’t matter. No one is going to watch CNN in the morning.

Brooke Baldwin is useless no prompter and only good at prancing around the set showing off. Erin Burnett or Zora Sambolin better fits

Well, the NYPost put this up this morning…

…which is sad considering Cuomo and Burnett seem like they had good chemistry doing Pope coverage and could probably make a decent morning show duo.
