Mark Halperin shouldn’t have been suspendd for what he called Obama. He should have got a Pulitzer.

Who knew POTUS has a food taster?

Would it kill you to start with something cable news-related? Ya know, so we don’t have to start every damn day with a nauseating ideological debate? I’m just asking questions…
March 15, 2013 at 7:37 am
I’m inclined to believe that the food taster thing was a joke… at least, I hope it is. Having someone taste your food, and wait to see if the die seems awfully inefficient.
I had food poisoning on Christmas, but it wasn’t from what I had for dinner. It was lunch that did it… I think.
Anyway, mmm lobster salad.
What were we talking about?

Mara Schiavocampo is doing a good job subbing for Thomas Roberts on MSNBC. Makes me wonder if eventually they are going to move her from Early Today to MSNBC as a regular anchor.
Can someone explain this to me,
Why does CPAC have no time for Chris Christie yet they have time for Mitt Romney, Donald Trump, Sarah Palin and the hate speech of Ann Coulter?
March 15, 2013 at 8:14 am
I’m surprised to see Mara there..I don’t think Lynn Berry ever filled in on Dayside. Yes, she’s doing a very good job.
CPAC has time for that rat bastard Wayne LaPierre, too, with his BS about being armed against US soldiers. Thankfully MSNBC had the decency to cut away after that bit of obscenity.
March 15, 2013 at 8:15 am
The same reason MoveOn.org hated Joe Lieberman, and wouldn’t invite him to their conference.
March 15, 2013 at 9:43 am
Why does CPAC have no time for Chris Christie
Because it’s ‘C’PAC, not ‘R’PAC.
March 15, 2013 at 9:52 am
^ That’s actually a pretty good answer.
March 15, 2013 at 4:54 pm
And for more cable news, why it can’t get enough of stupid tour cancellation tricks. From the Daily Beast:
“It is a petulant, juvenile response,” said one Democratic official close to the administration. “It totally undermines the harm that the sequester is actually doing to Americans. Now all we are talking about is the canceled tours and not about all the jobs lost.”
March 15, 2013 at 4:57 pm
Nancy Pelosi would make an excellent food taster.
March 15, 2013 at 6:32 pm
Tucker Carlson is subbing for Hannity and using the same childish nicknames for President Obama. Guess it’s the same script writer.
It was lame for hosts at MSNBC to use silly names for Pesident Bush and FNC should stop doing that with Obama.
The FNC double standard is funny. FNC likes to whine and complain about liberal hate speech but FNC guests and hosts can say anything they want about President Obama.
Chris Hayes who takes over the 8pm time slot on MSNBC Monday is subbing for Rachel tonight.
March 15, 2013 at 6:49 pm
Hannity and pro gun people on his show keep making this argument if multiple enter your house you need no limits on the bullets you can have in your clip to defend your self.
My argument is If you have multiple armed people enter your house unless you are a trained sniper or marksman I don’t think having extra bullets is really going to matter.
Tucker is hyping this food taster story has some big President Obama secret. “F Block PRESIDENTIAL SECRET REVEALED?”
Of course it’s not a big deal or it would not be the last story of the show.

While MSNBC has been doing well, NBC has not. Back the execs in a corner and somebody always wants to kill the Jay Leno goose that still lays moderately golden eggs, leaking stories about Jay being replaced.
The rationale cited for a change was concern that ABC’s late-night star, Jimmy Kimmel, who was recently moved to go head to head with Leno, was staking a claim to the younger viewers that are of most economic value in late-night television.
But so far, Leno has continued to win consistently in almost every rating category, including among viewers between the ages of 18 and 49, the chief target for late-night advertisers. Kimmel won his first week against Leno in that category, but Jay has won every week since.
NBC has not provided much help. The network’s ratings in prime time have hit record lows in the past two months. NBC now regularly finishes first in the ratings in only three places: the evening newscasts, “Saturday Night Live” and Mr. Leno’s “Tonight” show.
Will NBC make the Letterman-Conan mistake a third time?

Last summer I discovered a couple copperhead snakes infiltrating the area near the house where little kiddies and pets frequent. Those nasty things can move fast so I was happy with myself for grabbing the big clip for my Luger.
In the burbs or big city it isn’t likely that I’ll have need for a high-capacity clip and I don’t want to be carrying around the extra weight anyway. But out in the boonies is a different matter. Either way, I get to decide how many bullets I need.
March 15, 2013 at 9:11 pm
Copperheads are very common in the hills of Southeastern Ohio where I have my cabin. I use shot shells in my 38-special to imolblize the buggers and then an axe to chop their heads off. Eliminates the need for marksmanship.
No matter how many pieces you chop a snake, they never die ’til sundown. At least that’s what the locals tell me.
Never be the second in file hiking through tall grass. Guy #1 startles the snake. Guy #2 gets bitten.
Poisoness snakes travel in pairs. It is the job of snake #2 to seek revenge.

Thomas Sowell was excellent, though that’s hardly surprising.
March 15, 2013 at 10:30 pm
MSNBC is back to airing old shows Friday 11pm to Saturday at 5am instead of rebroadcasts of their Friday night shows.
March 16, 2013 at 6:28 am
On CPAC, I’ve heard about the buzz this week and it got to the point where I went nutty to write a story on my own blog. I should’ve wrote it before the event and not nearly after the fact.

If you have multiple armed people enter your house unless you are a trained sniper or marksman I don’t think having extra bullets is really going to matter.
It’s precisely because most people aren’t trained snipers that one WOULD need larger capacity mags in case of said home invasion. If you’re hitting everything that moves, then yeah, you’re not going to need as many bullets. But if you can’t … well, Andrew Cuomo says “drop dead”.
March 16, 2013 at 7:19 am
FNC guests and hosts can say anything they want about President Obama.
Are FNC guests and hosts accusing Obama of murder? Re-instituting slavery? Dragging people to death by chains? Throwing Grandma off a cliff? Questioning their patriotism?
No? Well then: Even if they are … they’d only be even with the everyday rhetoric from the Compassionate and Tolerant Left.
March 16, 2013 at 7:20 am
FNC guests and hosts can say anything they want about President Obama.
CNN believes quoting Obama directly is racist and that Rand Paul is akin to the KKK.
But yeah: it’s FNC that’s the problem…
March 16, 2013 at 8:51 am
As someone with (for the moment) red hair… I find this “copperhead” talk, very offensive.
March 16, 2013 at 8:54 am
IMNOTBLUE is orange.
March 16, 2013 at 9:38 am
Sarah Palin who was let go by FOX News as a paid contributor, which to me means they are not interested in what she has to say, is aired her CPAC speech in full commercial free. Ironic.
CNN and MSNBC aired the start of the speech then left.
March 16, 2013 at 9:41 am
RNC comedian Steven Crowder is giving a nasty hate fill rant at Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi. CPAC can do better then him.
Why are conservatives so angry? I thought according to Hannity only Liberals angry?
March 16, 2013 at 9:55 am
Apologies for the grammar fail. To many cold meds.
Seriously though Steven Crowder is an embarrassment to CPAC.
Can’t they find a better MC?
March 16, 2013 at 9:58 am
If you don’t like him, my guess is he is doing a fine job.

Palin: “America for the liberty freedom constitution for the soldiers. And such as. Pay me.”
March 16, 2013 at 2:26 pm
Is FNC going to have any reaction to One America or are they just going to pretend they don’t exist? Is there need for two conservative news channels?
March 16, 2013 at 2:44 pm
Is there need for two conservative news channels?
Yes. If we had one that spoke from a conservative POV without all the bunker “they’re out to get our precious channel” histrionics, I would watch it.
March 16, 2013 at 4:40 pm
Unless you like conservative ideas, you’re not going to like a conservative channel. You’d find fault as soon as something irritated you. If there is room for 148 liberal channels, I think the space for two conservative ones is adequate.
March 16, 2013 at 5:08 pm
I’m not saying One America should not exist, just wondering how FNC is going to react to them. They have had no completion for the conservative audience. I’m all for a channel that says they are conservative and does not pretend to be fair and balanced like FNC.
From the comments of One America anchor Graham Ledger today at CPAC it seems One America is going to aim for the tea party audience that One America feels FOX News Channel is ignoring.
March 16, 2013 at 5:28 pm

You presume much, and know little. The perfect FNC viewer.
March 16, 2013 at 5:48 pm
You’re perfect too in your own way.
March 16, 2013 at 6:22 pm
It’d be nice to have a normal conservative channel. Sometimes I think I could become more righty, but identifying with the “Nobama, Oblamo” bleating on FNC shuts that down every time. There needs to be a conservative version of MSNBC where they calm down and talk.
March 16, 2013 at 7:17 pm
Chris Matthews is so calming.
March 16, 2013 at 7:19 pm
Al Sharpton is so calming.
March 16, 2013 at 7:20 pm
Ed Schultz is so calming. Why the ol’ balm soother even called Lora Ingrahm a xxxx. So calming. zzzzZZZZZZ

LIBERALS ATTENTION LIBERALS ATTENTION!
We don’t have a spending problem comrade, we have a revenue problem! Let us not allow those with money in the bank keep it to their selfish selfs. Taxes are not enough, take 10% of their savings!

It’s very apparent if you watch FNC during either it’s news or opinion shows that FNC is anti Obama, anti unions, anti climate change and anti green energy and MSNBC is the reverse on all of them.
It would be nice to have a channel that’s alternative to the conservative bias on FNC and the liberal bias on MSNBC.
It’s not going to be One American and I doubt it’s going to be Al Jazeera America.
March 17, 2013 at 3:24 pm
MSNBC does liberal POV. FNC does some conservative POV, which is overshadowed by heavy doses of “what we want you to think” propaganda, and defensive shoutouts against perceived enemies of the company.
March 17, 2013 at 3:26 pm
CNN pretends it is this idealistic channel you seen to pine for. You never seem to talk about Gods gift to cable, and it’s rated third as is bland and a bore. What do you want, egg in your beer?
Nah, just something to bitch about, I figure.
March 17, 2013 at 3:29 pm
Know your enemies and confront them. Thanks FNC!
March 17, 2013 at 3:59 pm
If America One does well, it will only be a matter of time ’til Jon Scott starts bashing them on Fox News Watch.
March 17, 2013 at 4:55 pm
Only if they deserve it.
