Hot: Jake Tapper starts his new CNN show Monday.
Not: FNC airing the entire Sarah Palin CPAC speech.
Not: One America thinking they can challenge FOX News Channel as the second conservative news channel.
HOT: MSNBC moves afoot.
HOT: Pope-pourri.
NOT: Immediately questioning whether the new pope believes in Catholicism. “Where is he on gay marriage?”
HOT: FNC, still #1 (and it’s not close) after all these years.
NOT: Current going out with a whimper: officially last in all of cable-dom.

NOT: Immediately questioning whether the new pope believes in Catholicism. “Where is he on g_y marriage?”
NOT: Forgetting about that moderation thing.

HOT: MSNBC moving Ed into the weekend, Hayes into the week. Can’t help but think that an afternoon edition of Ed for two days of the week will probably be equal to or less than crime doc reruns.
HOT/NOT?: HLNs full dive into Arias just gets bigger, and it reeks of gimmick. A jury deciding the case on television in ten minutes each night, really?
EH: CNN managed to squeak out a win in the Demo during the actual appearance of the new Pope. Suppose that’s worth something.
NOT HOT: Cable news coverage of Jodi Arias. HLN, CNN and FOX have given it entirely too much attention. In comparison, MSNBC has only had segments during NewsNation and The Cycle (still too much, c’est la vie).

HOT: Ed Schultz out at 8pm.
NOT HOT: Chris Hayes in. MSNBC will slip behind HLN AND CNN at 8pm and lose viewers at 9pm.
