  1. PAB is a sentimental favorite, but I’m going with the winner: Shep. Let the record reflect that when Shep is the last person standing, I cast the first vote! 😉

  2. 2nd. Shep.

  3. Shep. He is on of a kind. I don’t like FOX. I only watch the Shep shows.

  4. Shep. I agree with graccy!

    Patti Ann Brown.

This is a close one. But, J$, I’m sentimental.

Shep Smith. Only program I can stand watching on FNC for any length of time

This is not a fair comparison at all. They have different jobs altogether. PAB doesn’t anchor a newscast twice a day. I personally think SS is unwatcheable because he tries too hard to be cute and is a drama queen. PAB is prettier than he is and very funny to watch on Red Eye. My vote is for PAB.

    Shepard Smith

  9. Shep’s the best anchor in the business. Quick on his feet, rolls with the punches, a great ad-libber….and he’s real. Not one of these stiff phonies you see on the networks.

    I vote for Shep.

  10. shep

  11. I’ll go with Golden Pipes, Shep. And as for him trying to be cute: I’m a heterosexual dude, but, c’mon Claudiva, even I know he doesn’t have to try!

I will go with PAB, but both are great. Some matchups are 2 losers, some are 2 winners.

I know the fishbowl thing, but make you should have seeded these people.

  13. Man, there’s NOBODY even close to Shep! Shep all the way!

  14. I know the fishbowl thing, but make you should have seeded these people.

What criteria would I use? There is no criteria that’s impartial except maybe prominence but that itself is disputable. The fishbowl is the only purely arbitrary way to go I’m afraid…

  15. Love PAB….but I have to vote for Shep, when he isn’t being overly dramatic.

  16. Even though his ego is now about as big as The Cube in his FR set, we have to go with the Shepster.

  17. Shepard Smith

  18. Shepard Smith “Roll Tide” Yes, I know he isn’t an Alabama fan:)

    1. ratings (factor > prime news)
    2. salary (est)
    3. time slots (10am hln, cnn > cnbc) viewers

The ncaa brackets basketball and baseball playoffs. the brackets get people involved and many times creates “heat” just from the seedings. Also, “heat” comes from who didn’t make it, i.e. last 5 in, last 5 out.

This is a good contest, but would have rocked with a bracket.

You could have had a Panel Show region, a newsreader region, a business show region, and an at-large region. something like that.

thanks for the blog. i enjoy it.

  20. PAB. Shep is great, too. Of course, when choosing between two fairly equal choices, gotta go with the one who has the big …

With brackets someone’s always going to complain about the seeding. With the fishbowl, the only complaint is about the luck of the draw…
