Keith Olbermann really took it to Michelle Malkin tonight. I don’t think the word “overboard” does it justice. NewsBusters’ Brad Wilmouth writes about tonight’s WPiTW segment…

On Tuesday’s Countdown show, MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann spewed bile at conservative commentator Michelle Malkin, accusing her of possessing “fascistic hatred,” and comparing her to a “mashed-up bag of meat with lipstick on it.” During his show’s regular “Worst Person” segment, Olbermann attacked Malkin for her role in bringing attention to the recent controversy over school children in New Jersey singing a song about President Obama. Blaming the conservative commentator for death threats made against a woman who posted video of the children singing, Malkin was crudely slammed by Olbermann: “She received death threats and hate-filled voice mails all thanks to the total mindless, morally bankrupt, knee-jerk, fascistic hatred, without which Michelle Malkin would just be a big mashed-up bag of meat with lipstick on it.”

Um, what’s the difference between this attack and the “Ho-Pas” incident, which Olbermann subsequently apologized for even though he had nothing to do with that incident? Is it because Mrs. Vitter was a “civilian” and Malkin is a pundit? Seems like a thin excuse to me…

Update: Malkin responds

In case you were wondering what kind of lipstick we big mashed up bags of meat wear, I prefer M.A.C. Lustreglass in Ornamental or Lipglass in Spite. Because nothing goes better with fascistic hatred!

Update 2: Malkin responds some more on Mediaite…

  1. It’s disgusting that the woman who uploaded the videos received (allegedly) death threats but Olbermann’s smearing of Malkin as somehow being solely responsible is equally awful. Well, almost equally.

Who knows what motivated these, to be charitable, thugs to harass the woman? Or where they got their information to do so? It’s a big internet.

Moreover, did Olbermann try to contact Malkin about the incident? Get her views on the matter? Of course not. That would be called journalism.

Olbermann complains about news organizations not contacting him about stories involving him but regularly does the same thing on his show.

Let’s see: smearing, guilt by association, lack of balance – let’s call it “mashed up bag of meat” journalism.

Michelle Malkin: This is what a “big mashed up bag of meat with lipstick” looks like

With all of the feigned “outrage” of Rush wanting to buy the St. Louis Rams, why is no one complaining about the unbelievable vile language coming out of Olberman, an NBC/NFL announcer?

The guys on so many sites I frequent state they just turn the sound down when he’s on, or forego the games all together, whenever he is announcing.

And besides, didn’t some woman just put the “BHO – MmmMmmMmm” video up on You Tube? It was public domain, last time I checked How does Michelle get blamed for that?

MSNBC lets its on air “talent” get away with everything! Olbermann, Rachel and Matthews can say whatever they want, and no one cares!

Olbermann continues to prove he’s just a douchebag with a microphone. He’s not a serious person. People who attempt to make a comparison between BOR & KO obviously never watch BOR. KO is a hate-filled whackjob who prolly already has one foot in the nut house. There’s really not much more you can say about the crank.

  5. Mashed up bag of meat? I think not. Michelle Malkin is Grade A prime rib. Or maybe filet mignon.

  6. Of course, he also bags on Ann Coulter’s looks, having hit on her years ago. Some liberal male pathology going on, there. Added to all his other pathologies…

I really didn’t need to know this about you, Red.

  8. Malkin is a smart, articulate, beautiful, strong woman. Olbermann is intimidated by that.

  9. Perhaps a variation on ‘shrinkage’… 😉

  10. KO has real trouble with powerful Women he can’t control…just ask that woman he stalked.

  11. – shrinkage –

It all went to his head.

  12. It does seem to have grown over the years…

  13. Missy, I find your conflation of KO with Mathews and Maddow simplistic at best, and it tells me you don’t actually watch their shows. Chris is a political veteran with a vast wealth of knowledge, who calls ’em as he sees ’em…on both sides of the aisle. He may travel in the surreal from time to time, but he’s not the mean-spirited scumbag KO is. Rachel is just Rachel. Smart, liberal…and you disagree with her.
