What’s Hot/What’s Not: 12/19/10

What’s Hot:

Bret Baier – Baier gets a big news deal with FNC.

John Roberts is leaving American Morning by the end of the year – And who will the successor be?

What’s Not:

Bill Sammon – FNC’s DC Bureau Chief is under assault via a leaker to Media Matters.

Keith Olbermann “suspends” Twitter Account – As a result of the withering fallout over the Countdown Michael Moore interview earlier this week, Olbermann said he was suspending his Twitter account until people stopped accusing him of being a rape apologist. Or something to that effect.

Me first, me first! Yeah? Big deal… – 2010 isn’t even over yet and already two of the three cable news networks are tripping over themselves trying to get the first GOP presidential candidate debate of the 2012 election season. FNC announces a debate, then CNN announces a debate sooner, then FNC announces another debate even sooner. Or something like that. Meanwhile, the media writers are lapping this crack up like it’s…well…crack. Nevermind that the same ridiculous spectacle happened in the 2008 election season. Jaded…the media writers aren’t. Unfortunately.

  1. I’m surprised no mention of Suspenders & Glasses’ last show. He’s been around in cable news since… almost forever.
