  1. More on “No Labels” (Charlie Crist is a member – shocker!).

  2. Hmm..KO is turning on Assange on Twitter.

  3. davidwebber101 Says:

“Tommy Christopher is phonier than his boss Dan Abrams’ hair.” That’s what Keith Olbermann said about NBC News Legal Analyst & former MSNBC host/GM Dan Abrams. Don’t the NBC bosses go crazy if anyone criticizes a colleague? This could be interesting to see the internal reaction inside 30 Rock.

  4. Mediaite caught just an unbelievable chyron error on Fox and Friends with guest Elie Wiesel.

Mr. Wiesel was identified as: “Holocaust Winner”.

    Man…

  5. Ah, a 9/11 deal has been reached. Guess that means they’re not selfish @ssholes anymore. It’s a beautiful thing.

  6. It’s a beautiful thing.

…that they acted like complete imbeciles, took a nasty and deserved PR hit for it, and finally did the right thing. A**holes.

  7. “Don’t the NBC bosses go crazy if anyone criticizes a colleague?”

Yes, but it appears KO is exempt from such punishment. Anyone else and it’s off with their heads!

  8. Joe, if this 9/11 responder issue was so critical, why didn’t the dems bring it up in regular sessions this year? ANYTHING brought up in the lame duck session seemed suspect.

    A**holes.

  9. …and took a 7 billion dollar bill and did it for one. They can be ‘@ssholes’ if they can stop the Democrat’s payoffs.

  10. Joe, if this 9/11 responder issue was so critical, why didn’t the dems bring it up in regular sessions this year?

They did but it got bottled up, as legislation often does, with amendments for this and that.

As I understand it, this one has been stripped of all of that nonsense. A straight funding bill.

  11. Good point, Laura. I haven’t been following the 9/11 issue specifically, but it just seemed like most everything in this session was ill-vetted and/or laden with pork. If they took $6 B out of the bill, excellent!

  12. Eh, it’s just play money. Let’s throw out 7 billion to pay-off the lawyers so that they can cycle it back to reelect Democrats. Oh, and let’s just sit and watch Schumer congratulate his fellow legislators for doing their job. I always love that part.

  13. And even Shep, the new left-wing hero, can appreciate and not be a jerk about it. What a guy.

  14. ^Looks like one of Santa’s reindeers took a dump on somebody’s carpet.

    In fact, several.

  15. No, but the cat puked in the bathroom. Does that count?

  16. I’m supposed to be thrilled that the GOP dragged their feet on 9/11 responders after throwing a fit for weeks to make sure they didn’t lose any of their precious tax cuts? Forget it. The right always leaps to The Man’s aid first; the men always wait. It’s obscene.

  17. Thrilled, no. Rational, perhaps

  18. Four billion, they’re now saying. Selfish obscene Republicans. I’m sure that’s what KO, Kos and Ed will say.

  19. I’m supposed to be thrilled that the GOP dragged their feet on 9/11 responders after throwing a fit for weeks to make sure they didn’t lose any of their precious tax cuts? Forget it. The right always leaps to The Man’s aid first; the men always wait. It’s obscene.

Joe…what’s obscene is that this important bill was loaded with “crap” (technical term) by the Democrats. If this bill was so important (it is/ was) then there should not have been any additional “baggage” imposed by the Democrats. Remember…Democrats controlled the process & they had the Senate votes last year (Snowe & Collins were in favor of this bill at the time). The original bill was loaded with money for illegal immigrants who would qualify for healthcare & survivor benefits if they passed away. Many, myself included, are/were not in favor of this addition.

Joe…your outrage is misguided. Please rememmber, your ire should be pointed at the Democrats who controlled the committees, schedule, ammendments, etc…

  20. My ire is pointed exactly where it belongs. The Republican Party is bad for this country.

  21. The right always leaps to The Man’s aid first; the men always wait. It’s obscene.

    The Man?

Yeap, it’s always fun playing with other people’s money and livelihoods.

After all, it’s not real money, not real hard won dollars by people sacrificing and working.

    Let’s play with it.

And you can feel morally superior at the same time.

  22. Yeah, let’s play with ‘other people’s money’ like ‘we‘ have the last two-years-or-so,. Two trillion dollars magically ‘disappears’. If I was looking for it, I’d check the unions pockets. And the trial lawyers.

    — The Man —

Is this an episode of The Mod Squad?

  23. Is this an episode of The Mod Squad?

    Mod Squad? Showing our age.

Wonder why nobody thought of a making a re-make of that?

Maybe they did and it lasted two shows.

  24. I certainly believe in a safety net and in programs to help the deserving poor. There’s a moral obligation, I think, to do so. Plus, it makes economic sense. E.g., teach a man to fish et cetera.

But we’re engaged in this obligation with the property and life work of other people. “The Man”, if you insist is made up of real live human beings.

Treating them simply as a cash machine and with contempt isn’t the way to go about it.

You can, but don’t be surprised if they return the contempt.

  25. — Showing our age. —

    48. Deal with it.
Seems like they talked about making a movie, but after a rewatch of the other TV show/movies they came to their senses.

    — Cash machine —

That’s the mentality. ”I still have checks! That must mean there’s more money…”

  26. My ire is pointed exactly where it belongs. The Republican Party is bad for this country

Joe…please tell me how the Republicans hurt this country during the past two (2) years??? The Democrats controlled the process. Unemployment has risen to 9.8%. Health care costs continue to rise. (FYI…remember when Obama stated that you can keep your doctor?) What a f***ing joke. My doctor notified me that he’s leaving his practice due to the increased administrative costs of the new healthcare law.

Businesses are afraid to hire because this administration has their collective heads so far up the unions & trial lawyers a$$es, businesses are afraid to open up their wallets. In addition, this administration wouldn’t know how to run a business if their life depended on it.

Why should anyone entrepreneur invest in a new business? Why should any company open their wallets & hire people? Why is this administration so screwed up with regards to the business community?

  27. – Mod Squad movie –

It exists. Giovanni Ribisi. You dont want to rent it.

  28. As seen on Red Eye. The first couple times I saw Coulter there, she was surprisingly Not Crazy. But lately she seems detached and irrelevant. She doesn’t know anything about things that are outside of her small world, doesn’t pay attention to what others are saying, and last night wasn’t the first time she was surprised to discover they were still on the air.

Her rant with Andy Levy – a veteran – was surreal. She was literally just ‘saying stuff’, almost Palin like. She doesn’t look all that healthy, either.

  29. It’s been an interesting day. Maybe Democrats should lose elections more often..

  30. Yeah. Make us all better-off.
