The Hazards of Live TV: #25,090

Do NOT watch this while on drugs. Despite what the clip title says this wasn’t a ticker blooper. This technical failure was far more catastrophic.

  1. That is as cool as Ben Stein has been since the 80’s.

  2. The amazing thing is that it went on for about half-a-minute, which is like dog-years on TV, and it was unacknowledged, at least within the span of that clip. Scarborough would have enjoyed it much more.

  3. They blasted Stein into infinity.

    Good find.

  4. I’m impressed.

  5. CNN sent Stein sailing toward a galaxy far, far away. Too bad that clip didn’t end with Darth Vader’s voice proclaiming, “This is CNN.”

  6. and it was unacknowledged, at least within the span of that clip.

Of course it went unacknowledged. That segment was taped in advance. This wasn’t a live TV glitch. It was a broadcasting glitch, maybe in Master Control.

  7. Master Control, Darth Vader, all the same to me.

  8. Well, that’s one way to escort somebody out of CNN… would’ve been creepier had it been a Spitzer splitter.

  9. Is that what you see when your on ecstasy? Anybody? 🙂

No wonder conservatives don’t want to go on CNN.

  11. missy5537 Says:

Ben Stein is on Cavuto right now, and has NOT been orbitted off to oblivion.

See, Fox is nicer to its guests.
