  1. Dumb name. I guess it makes sense since it’s a morning show, so people will be waking up to watch it.

  2. Up? Up what?

  3. Makes me think of “Up With People”, but no one else in the world would.

  4. ^ No one except the idiot who was about to type “Up With People!”…

  5. Poltico’s media reporting sucks. I saw the report from them first, but it was riddled with inadequacies, mainly that the show would be competing with “Fox News Sunday” and “State of the Union” and that it “now has five hours of original news programming on Saturday mornings and four on Sunday mornings.” Umm, it already had that many, Alex Witt just got shafted.

  6. Inaccuracies, I meant to say. Spell check threw me off.

  7. Someone call Disney , real creative Msnbc

  8. Alex Witt was real news she shouldn’t be treated this way, msnbc’s slowly becoming less news

  9. “Up” is better than “Rock Center”… 😛

  10. That’s for sure, Spud. I get the origin of the name “Rock Center” but not the meaning. I expected something better.

  11. Rock Center sounds like the name of a really bad Tootsie product.

  12. Rock Center sounds like a show on VH1 from the 90’s for some reason

  13. Rock Center sounds like a place in Marin County with hot springs and people being One With The Universe.

  14. Rock Center with Stone Phillips. That would have been a good sounding name for a show, if Stone Phillips still worked at NBC.

  15. Rock Center sounds like an AC/DC song…

This ain’t so harp and fiddle,
What we’ve got is there in the middle.
Don’t need no teacher, don’t need to mentor,
‘Cause what we’ve got is rock, rock center.

  16. Wow. Getcher rock on, Blue!

  17. Brian Williams is supposed to be a very funny guy – maybe he came up with the name and no one told him it was a stupid name, because, after all, he is Brian Williams.

After his “performance” on Morning Joe the other day when what made headlines was that Tavis Smiley called Bush a liar, I even have less respect for Williams than I did before.
